My overall experience was great. Coming to the dealership to get service, you always know you’re gonna be there for hours. I was getting multiple things done on my car so it took some time. I was very patience. Delonta was my service advisor. He kept me updated throughout the entire process. He checked on me and made sure to send videos of my car while it was being service. His customer was outstanding and above and beyond. He is the reason this review is getting 5 stars.

I went in to get my car serviced (oil change, etc) early on 2/18/2026 and I have to say that Delonta, who was my point of contact there, was wonderful. Actually, as I pulled up to the service area, I was greeted by another kind gentleman (he had long locs) and when I told him what I was there for he went and got Delonta. I always go to this location to get my car serviced and have always had a great experience, even on their busy mornings. This particular experience was the same. I see that they added comfy massage chairs to their customer waiting area, snacks and beverages. I also like the car update that was sent to me as I waited. It was a video from the car mechanic letting me know that they were working on my car and what other services they recommended for future visits. I also liked that I could communicate with Delonta via the number that they send so I can know what’s going on. This day the service was pretty fast. I was fully prepared to be there all morning but I was just there about an hour and a half. Please keep up the wonderful work.

The team there truly delivers a level of service that stands out. Tyler Greene, my salesman, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely committed to helping me find the perfect CR‑V Hybrid. He made the process smooth, transparent, and stress‑free. Comfortable waiting experience while you wait for your vehicle to be serviced, although at my recent visit there were no snacks. They have awesome message chairs and free warm beverages and I love how they send communications on your vehicles progress via text message.

Shavon was absolutely amazing throughout my entire car-buying experience. She is very knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly patient. From start to finish, she stayed attentive to my needs and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I never felt rushed or confused — she took the time to explain everything and made sure I was comfortable with each step. Anyone visiting Pohanka should ask for Shavon. My experience with this dealership was a bit mixed; the salesperson was wonderful, professional, and friendly, but I imagine they're all trained to convince you and push you to buy. I went in prepared, I had spotted the vehicle a 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Blue at an interesting price (it was in December and they had end of year discount) on their website, I called them to get a final price including all taxes (out the door price), and contacted my bank to secure my loan. At the same time, I also asked them how much they would offer for my 2021 Hyundai Tucson, they asked me to send them a short video of my ride and they gave me a number which I thought was too low because and did my own research using various appraisal sources. I then went to the dealership and test-drove the car with the salesperson. Once there, I even managed to get a small discount on the vehicle, but the disagreement was on my trade-in value which I was negotiating separately, the salesperson got his manager involved, I loved the interaction with the manager, it was straightforward he told me why he could not offer more for my trade-in, indeed, I lived In Colorado where hail storm is common thing and my car was covered with dents, the manager told me he will spend $XXXX to fix the dents and asked me how much I think he could resale my vehicle, I told him easily $17K – $19K, he told me “let’s assume I will sale it your vehicle for $17K, I will spend $XXXX to fix the dents and some other recondition work...” all these to show me he’s small margin. I continued the discussion with the salesperson that’s how I got the small discount on the vehicle I was looking for, from there everything was on paper, I had my out the door price with all fees and taxes, we then proceed to the finance office; good to mentioned here until this point, I did not disclose how I was going to pay for the car (cash, finance through my bank or using the dealer finance), the salesperson tried many times to get that information and I kindly kept telling him that I was not interested in discussing that yet and I was more concerned about the out the door price. Then when I got to the finance office, the finance person asked me how I was going to pay, I asked what rate they can offer for my situation, she gave me the rate and start explaining bush of other things about the deal and I start signing papers on the computer until I get to the finance part where I realized that I was going to sign for the dealer’s financing which rate was much higher than my credit union pre-approval; I stopped everything and told her I never said I was going to use their finance because I have my own, I could see that she was not happy, she picked up the phone and called and I heard “he said he has his own finance”, we restarted the process and closed the deal, she tried many times to sale me gap insurance and auto care packages and declined everything. That was my experience but its not over yet; I’m by nature inquisitive and I waited all this time to provide this feedback because I was curious to see how much they will list the car for, as I am writing this review, the car is listed on the dealer’s website and priced at $19, 950 which I found interesting, I was right then when I said the car could be sold for $17K – $19K, but this is business and it’s all about making profit no one to blame. What I did next, I pulled the vehicle’s CARFAX report to see what work was done before listing the car, the shop did an oil change, changed the brake pads but no mentioned what so ever on dents repair, I have been in their lot to see the car with my own eyes; almost $20K for a car full of dents, isn’t that interesting? I let you judge.

I came in to have my 2018 Honda CR-V checked out because it was making some noises, and I had concerns since I purchased it with a salvage title. From the moment I met Nelson Castillo, I knew I was in great hands. Nelson explained everything down to a T—what was normal, what needed attention, and what didn’t. He took the time to walk me through the entire process without rushing or pressuring me, which made a huge difference. On top of that, he also made sure all recalls were taken care of, which gave me complete peace of mind. His service was truly exceptional: professional, knowledgeable, patient, and honest. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about making sure you fully understand your vehicle and feel confident driving it. Because of Nelson, I’ll only be going to the Honda dealership from now on for anything related to my car. Highly recommend asking for Nelson Castillo if you want top-tier service.

Staff were nice, and easy to work with. I first inquired about the vehicle online and Omar was promptly responsive, although he wasn’t available when I arrived, I worked with Ivan, who stepped in with no hesitation. Although I went in knowing which vehicle I was interested in, to have the experience a little better it would have been nice to have the salesmen explain and go over car details prior to completing the deal versus me exploring the car solo, I did appreciate the autonomy. I was able to work with staff to get a reasonable deal for my new 2025 Honda Pilot.

Mr. Marcus is a great service advisor. He kept me informed of repairs needed on my car and/or on the status of my car repair service including providing videos to help me see the issues related to the service lights appearing on the dashboard. Although I wasn't anticipating to pay as much, I'm glad I took my car in for service and my car is running and operating very well... hopefully my car will run another 100K miles. Thanks again, Mr. Marcus and the Pohanka Honda Service team for servicing my car.

I had a really great experience at Pohanka Honda. I went to get an oil and filter change. The service manager who helped me was named Marcus. He was very knowledgeable and explained things what was all included in my service. He let me know about other services I needed for my car but was never pushy about getting them done. Overall, the customer service from the time I got there until the time I left was top notch. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

The worst dealership by far I ever been to. I’ve been purchasing vehicles for over 10 years, never had an experience like this! Randy The manager will waste your time And give you the runaround. They lied about pricing, terrible communication, & customer service. Do not go to this dealership unless you want to waste your time. I ended up going to Waldorf and purchasing two vehicles that same day! The worst dealership ever!!! The vehicles That we were looking to purchase the day we came were for my grandfather, he’s in your system! No need to state a false comment underneath my review. I just wanted to give everyone an honest review about Pohanka! Very unprofessional dealership!

I found this car online and called the dealership to see if it was still available. The salesman was very attentive. He had the car waiting for me when I arrived. It was a tough negotiation, but I realize that’s part of the business. We settled on a price and I left the dealership with the deal finalized . I had to move some things around and had to gather a lot of paperwork that I did not have. A few days later, the salesman delivered a beautiful Honda CRV to me. I love this car! I traded in a 12-year-old car and I can’t believe all the features this car has. The salesman was completely prepared to make the transfer and it was easy. All I had to do was sign it! Before the salesman left, I noticed five or six places on the car where the paint was chipped. I’m very particular about my cars so I brought it up to him. He promised me he would go back to the dealership and talk to the general manager about what to do. The general manager was prompt in contacting me. Speaking of the general manager who’s name is Randy Gibson, I cannot say enough good things him. He’s been in the business with Honda for 16 years and he’s one hard-working guy. He was helpful, attentive, reliable, and communicative with me about this paint issue. He even gave me his cell phone number. Randy works very hard and is there almost 7 days a week. I doubt he ever gets a day off! Honda is very fortunate to have him as their employee. In conclusion, this was a 10 out of 10 experience. Even if it’s a little bit of a drive for you to go to his dealership, it’s worth the trip. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful service for leasing a vehicle. It was a little chaotic the last two days as all the documentation needed reached me separately and lengthened the Turnaround time. Had a really good experience working with Michael and the Sales/Finance team at Pohanka Honda (Ed and Hakeem). I was ready for a new car, and visited Pohanka Honda to check out one of the models I was interested it. Same day, I walked out with a car that met my needs and got a great deal. The team was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all questions I had as a first time buyer in a way that I could understand. I would absolutely recommend checking this dealership out.

I’ve been going to Pohanka Honda for about 10 years now, and they’ve always delivered great service. I came in late in the day for an oil change that was estimated to take about two and a half hours, but they had me finished in just about an hour. Kevin, my service representative this time, was excellent—friendly, professional, and clear about what was done and what recommendations I might need in the future. Usually, Marcus takes care of my vehicles, and he’s always great too. I really appreciate how Pohanka Honda keeps me informed with follow-up calls, honest recommendations, and quality service every time. Thanks again to Kevin, Marcus, and the whole team for always taking good care of my vehicles.

Was trying to find a dealership to help me purchase a car and send to Hawaii. Ivan was the man who helped me through this seamless process. Ivan is caring, patient and ready to answer any questions you have as soon as possible. Searched many dealerships and Ivan gave me the best deal out there. Shipping the car to Hawaii was a process but Krystal from tag and title was a pleasure to work with. She helped me get all my paperwork at a fast pace even all the way from Hawaii. Will highly recommend this dealership.

Update: I saw the response from Pohanka to my review which is outright ridiculous. Each customer who provides their experience, I see it is a rebuttal in an attempt to explain the situation as opposed to taking accountability. My car is driving perfectly fine as it was when I first arrived to the dealership. I came to have my electrical system reset. It’s not about accepting anything. There are currently no issues with my vehicle. If an head gasket was needed normally there are lights on the dash, smoking and or leaking from the vehicle, rattling. There is no indication that work Is needed nor did I see pictures. Along with the guy outside saying I needed 3 new tires with brand new tires on the vehicle. This place is nothing but a money grab. Thankfully you did not get mines! Again ladies beware! Worst Pohanka in the DMV by far! I will never come here again. Woman beware!!! Service Manager Micheal Romero, Tech 314, along with service Rep Sam all displayed unscrupulous behavior. They tried to charge me over $6,400 for work that I did not need. I was told that my keys would be withheld from me until I paid the faulty diagnostic test. Sam provided a number to roadside assistance in which he stated was the number to corporate. When I returned to my car my electrical matter had been fixed which I’m sure did not require a diagnostic test. In fact this was something that I could have completed on my own. I never received my car wash which was supposed to come with the diagnostic test: Reciept displayed wrong tag number and indicated that I paid cash when I used my card! Another tech came outside and could not explain why I was told that a Head Gasket was needed! The dash reflects no lights after I declined the $6400 fee and threatened to call corporate! Stay away!

Had my First oil change for my new Ridgeline at Pohanka in Capital Heights. My service rep/concierge, Jackie, was outstanding! Met me at the door, took my info and keys, and showed me to their waiting area. The waiting area was large, comfortable and they had free WiFi, phone charging , coffee and snacks available. All employees were courteous and professional. My overall experience was very positive. The repair tech completed a detailed inspection sheet along with changing the oil. The reason I will be returning to Pohanka for future vehicle service is more because of my positive personal experience with the staff, mostly Jackie, rather than the facilities. Which were great, but their people made the experience a positive one.

My Incredible Experience at Honda Pohanka – Thanks to Sean Gorham I recently had an amazing experience at Honda Pohanka that I just had to share. This marks my fifth Honda, and I truly believed that nothing could top my 2018 Honda Accord Touring 2.0 Turbo—it was hands down the best car I had ever driven. Honestly, I wasn’t too excited about the newer models at first. I didn’t love the redesign and felt like Honda had already reached perfection with my last car. Everything changed during a routine service visit for an oil change. While waiting, I got to try out their brand-new massage chairs in the service lounge. Let me tell you—those chairs were incredible. I spent over an hour relaxing in one, and it made the wait feel like a spa day. I didn’t even want to leave, but of course, they finished servicing my car quickly and efficiently, as always. That level of comfort and care alone had me already feeling impressed before I even looked at a new vehicle. Later that day, I received a call from Sean Gorham, inviting me to come test drive the new 2025 Honda Accord. At first, I wasn’t interested—my car was running great, and I wasn’t looking for something new. But Sean’s professionalism and warm attitude convinced me to stop by and take a look. Initially, the new model felt so different from my 2018 that I wasn’t sure about it. But once I gave it a proper test drive, I was stunned by how sumptuous the ride was. It was smoother, quieter, and more refined. The suspension handled the road beautifully, and it felt more like a luxury car than a sedan. Then I learned it was a hybrid—and I was skeptical. I never thought I’d own a hybrid. I had always imagined hybrids as those cars that shut off at red lights and awkwardly restart when you hit the gas. But this Accord Hybrid is nothing like that. It transitions between gas and electric so smoothly, you can’t even tell. Whether I’m idling or accelerating, it just moves—no hesitation, no jerky restarts. It’s honestly genius. But the most jaw-dropping part? The fuel economy. With a 13-gallon tank, I’m getting nearly 550 miles on a full tank. Compare that to the 330 miles I was getting with my 2018 model—and you can understand why I was blown away. And don’t even get me started on the 12-speaker Bose sound system—it’s by far the best audio setup I’ve ever experienced in a Honda. As someone who’s always gone for the top-of-the-line Accord, this one still managed to raise the bar. What truly sealed the deal wasn’t just the car, though—it was the people. Sean Gorham went above and beyond. He was patient, knowledgeable, and truly excited to show me the new Accord. From the loan officer to the manager, the entire team was polite, professional, and welcoming. The whole process felt smooth and enjoyable. Now, two weeks into owning the 2025 Accord, I’m still discovering new features. I can download apps like Audible, stream Prime Video, and even watch a movie or TV show from the 12-inch display—all from the comfort of my car. If you’re in the market for a new car, or even just curious, I highly recommend heading over to Honda Pohanka and asking for Sean Gorham. He’s the reason I left with what I now call the best car in the world. Big up, Sean—you’re the real MVP!
