Never picks up the phone, called 4 separate times, they then canceled my scheduled appointment 2 hrs before the appointment with no listed reason and just expects me to still pickup and install my own tires. Can't even cancel the order until it arrives. Went to NTB and they got it done in a day.

A bit surprised that this Walmart Auto does not do oil changes for luxury vehicles. No disclaimer when making an appointment. Fuel and time wasted. Is this why Walmart doesn't carry the oil filter for it. Who knows? Just never ran into this being an issue. Nonetheless, the manager explained and resolved which supports the 5 star plus. Walmart need inform customers with a nationwide approach regarding what vehicles and services are specific. No guesswork. Like that direct calls are answered, rarely voice machines kick in and attentive associates willing to help and assist.

arrived at 1 PM for a 130 appt. for oil change was not started until 3:21 PM was not informed that they were running behind until I asked what was going after the 1hr if I was told they were three hours behind, I would've left and last time going to this location? I asked them to check the transmission fluid and they said OK but when I looked at my receipt, they didn't check it at all. And also, they canceled my original appointment To make it seem that I came late

THERE'S a reason there are a lot of 1 star reviews. This locations is terrible, and very slow. Took 1.5hrs to do 4 tire changes, then they didn't even put them on as I'd requested (the blue stripe shows, which I'd explicitly asked them to NOT do). And due to a shop screw-up, they cancelled my appointment just before I arrived, which meant I had to repay for the installation. Truly sucked, especially the 2.5 hr wait, noting that nobody else had shown up between the time they'd cancelled my appointment and when they took me - so my 2.5 hr wait was NOT due to their other screw-up.

HORRIBLE SERVICE went in for a tire installation service with an appointment at 12 and I added a tire rotation as well they told me it was going to take an hour and half for the service I left into the mall and I had to call twice for them to update my app I went in 2 hours later and they said it was 81% done, walked in at 2 and I saw the mechanic take the 1st tire off, they were so rude and after they were done at 4 pm they laughed at my face when I said I did not want to pay the 10 dollars due to them wasting my time and lying to my face about the service HORRIBLE SERVICE NEVER GOING BACK THEY ARE REALLY REALLY RUDE WALMART STEP IT UP WITH WHO YOU HIRE

I made an appointment for 12:30 and they didn't get finished with my car until 4:30. They also didn't check or top off any of my other fluids in my car and told me they didn't do that. After I pointed out to them that it says right in their sign that they do, they told me to ask the manager. He then told me they can only see if there are other fluids in the car but can't check to see if it needs to be changed. I've never had such an unprofessional experience getting service done in my car before, and I don't know why they can't perform the job they are hired to do. I will be asking for a refund when the store manager is in because now I need to go somewhere else.

Incompetent operation. To get a tire replaced under Road Hazard warranty at Hanover, MD required 4 visits to the store and still had to mount it elsewhere since appointments are booked weeks out and walkins mostly refused. They cancelled my order twice without notice, once because the new employee didn't take payment and once for no reason. They don't answer the phone for the most part. Even if they had tried to mount the tire they wouldn't have been able to balance it since the tech reported their machine had been down for 3 days and they were working to repair it. Walmart needs to allocate time for and accept road hazard walkins, train better, and answer the phone.

I arrived at 10:33 for my 10:30 oil change appointment and my car wasn’t serviced until 12. There were 4 technicians at 11 it still took 2 hours for an oil change. When I got there, there was only 1 car in the bay two technicians were present. My mileage sticker wasn’t updated after waiting so long I had to walk back in to get a sticker to write down my mileage myself. The cashier for the auto center was very nice. Something has got to give with the auto technicians I shouldn’t have been waiting 2 hours I tried to take my car at 11:20 I was told they were draining the oil. I still didn’t get my keys until 12:30. Also the techs don’t do everything that comes with the oil change like refilling the fluids. Do better Walmart! You guys have many complaints about the auto center and still no positive change.

Tire replacement appointment was 8am. It is 11 am now I’m still here they are not even working on it. Very disappointed. Never ever come back to this place

Worst service I've ever had. I had to get a tire changed on my wife's car because it had multiple nails in it. So I took her car to the service center at 7 when they were supposed to open. I say supposed to because no one was at the counter. I went into the shop and asked the mechanics, and they said there's nothing they could do until the guy at the counter shows up. Ten minutes later he shows up. Not bad, but it's a sign of things to come. I tell him that I need one tire on the driver's side rear to be replaced. He puts the order in, and because I didn't have an appointment, I'd have to wait. Fine. They have a waiting room. After I had been in the waiting room for a while, and older gentleman leaned in and said, "Have you seen anyone at the counter?" We chatted for a bit, and he said that he had been at the shop the day before at 7 to get his tires check and no one had helped him for half an hour before he left. Another bad sign. So they start working on my car. It goes pretty quickly, pay the bill, get my key and go. As I was driving home, I noticed that the low pressure warning was still lit up on the car. Strange. I got out of the car and looked at my tires, and they had replaced the rear tire on the passenger side, so the bad tire was still on the car. I went back to the shop and explained to person behind the counter--a different person from the one who helped me in the morning. She went out and talked to the mechanic. She came in and said that they'd put the old tire back on and put the new tire on the driver's rear side, and it wouldn't cost me anything. BUT THE MECHANIC WHO HAD TO DO IT WAS GOING TO TAKE LUNCH FIRST. IT WAS 10 AM. I got the text that work on the car had started at 11:20. The next text that said it was done came at 11:24. So I had to wait over an hour to get a job that took 4 minutes to do. I got my car and my key, no payment. Started the car and the low tire warning light was still on. I went back inside and asked the woman at the counter if I could borrow a tire pressure gauge to check to make sure all the tires were fine because I could reset the warning light myself. She asked the mechanic and came back with the message: He had tried to fix the low pressure warning but it "didn't take." And we don't lend out tools, you'll have to buy a gauge off of the floor. If you can't do your job, don't tell people to spend more money at your shop to make sure that you didn't completely mess things up. I had to waste almost 5 hours of my day trying to get a job that could have taken 4 minutes done. Worst service ever.

TRUST THE REVIEWS, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR TIRE INSTALLATION. I got a great price on tires but the installation experience was horrible at the Walmart Auto Care in Hanover Maryland (Arundel Mills). They left one of my original silver valve stem caps on, installed a black one and left the other two off. The tire technicians were joking around and using very foul language that you could hear in the waiting area. After my tires were installed I had a wobble vibration in the front at about 65mph, it was obvious they did not balance my tires. I decided to take my Truck to the Costco at Arundel Mills and have my tires balanced by competent tire Technicians. The Costco Tech said that all of the tires were not balanced properly. IF YOU BUY TIRES AT THIS WALMART WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T LET THIER INCOMPETENT TIRE TECHNICIANS INSTALL THEM. I WOULD ALSO NOT TRUST THEM IN DOING AN OIL CHANGE OR BATTERY INSTALL ON ANY OF MY VEHICLES. TRUST THE REVIEWS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

They can’t even do a simple battery change without messing up something else on your car. For one, I don’t understand how it takes almost a whole hour to swap out a battery. Its crazy how we can do our own oil changes, fluid changes and make sure that our cars our in good condition when it’s done but this shop decides that it’s a good idea to not only take an oil cap off, but then proceed to not put it back on and not even perform a quality service check before sending the car back out to the customer. Then when you call the service desk, they want to act condescending and act as if we don’t know what we’re talking about. They all move like they’re a bunch of airheads. They’ll tell you that you’ll “get a call back from a manager” but in actuality, it’s just crickets. Even at the front desk it’s a headache just simply trying to schedule an appointment because everyone wants to act like they don’t know what they’re doing. No one here actually cares about your car, they just care about sitting there and collecting a paycheck. I would recommend only coming here to buy parts and nothing more.

I know we all expect bad service these days, but this place takes the cake for the all time worst servce experience: Last year, my wife had tires installed. Right after we left, the tire pressure light comes on. We take the car back and are told that they "fixed the problem" 2 days later, the light comes back on, and again we take it back. This time we are told we had a nail in the tire. They "fix" it again. Stupidly, a year later, we take our second vehicle back to the location. I brought in the vehicle on a Monday and waited over 2 hours. While waiting, I observed 2 employees watching and listening to a video with vulgar language while both laughed and used bad laguage themselves, quite loudly, in the presense of customers. I finally went to ask about progress and was told that we entered the wrong car in the order, so it was never completed (I know this was not true because our walmart profile listed both vehicles and the tires we purchased matched the size of the selected vehicle, which happens to be a mini van). I asked why they did not inform me, as they had my number and I told them I would be in the waiting room. I could see the van from the waiting room as they moved it from the customer parking to the mechanic shop area. It was on the mechanic car lift for over an hour, so very strange that after all that time, they realized it was the wrong vehicle on the work order, then they took it down?. I was told to come back the next day and would be prioritized. I showed up on Tuesday and waited another 2 hours. During this time, I observed 3 employees talking to each other, one of them said to the others "3 more hours until I get out of this hellhole, cannot wait to go home" all this with about 5 customers in line. My car finally had the tires and I left. An hour later, the tire pressure light comes on, when I took a look at the tires they installed, I noticed the caps on both valves were never replaced. We called back and told to come back yet again the next day. I arrive on Wednesday, after another 2 hours, I am told that the sensors were damaged and that is why the light was on. Seems strange that it happened right after I left, maybe the technicians damaged them, but of course, they take no respnsibilty. We went back because the cost for tires and installation were far lower than any other place, but I guess you really do get what you pay for, I would rather spend more to get better service and a better experience. I wish I could give zero stars, but the lowest is one. Never again!!! stay away!!!!!

⭐ 1/5 I had the worst experience ever at this Walmart Auto Center. I went in for a simple oil change, and they completely wasted my time—over two hours—without even changing the oil. The staff was extremely rude and disrespectful, especially one white male employee who was just unprofessional in every way. To make matters worse, someone deliberately threw water inside my car, and I know it wasn’t by accident. This level of behavior is unacceptable. It’s disgraceful, not just from the employees but also from the management who clearly allow this kind of treatment to happen. I wouldn’t recommend anyone trust their vehicle with this place. You deserve better service and basic respect. Shame on the staff and shame on the management.

I just wanted to check to see if they had a set of tires on hand. Lady said she had the tires but I asked if it was available to pickup. She put me on hold for 10 minutes and never came back. I thought maybe something was wrong with the phone so I hung up. I waited a bit and called again. No answer. Called a little later and no answer. I’ve been taught that customers should not be on hold for more than a minute or two. I was also taught to ask if the customer to please hold. If I was busy, I would ask the customer that they may have to hold for 5-10 minutes or that we would call them back when time permitted. I guess Walmart does not teach their receptionist those common courtesies.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! A notice to others that need good and reliable tire service. As other low star reviews - go somewhere else if you don't wanna be pissed off. I should have paid attention the the low 2.9 reviews. First, they didn't carry my tire size, so I had to order them online and have them shipped there-not a problem. Secondly, after purchasing my installation appointment was made. I arrive to the appointment, sat in the waiting room for and hour and a half- thinking my car was being worked on, only to have someone come tell me that they can't get my lug nuts off because they're swollen. What? This is a tire center, how come you don't have the proper tools to service/ install tires? So the guy suggested that I leave and drive to Advanced Auto Parts to buy new lug nuts, then go to a gas station and pay them to remove and replace with the new ones, and then come back to Walmart so they can install my new tires. Wow, I will "never" go to or reccommended Walmart Tires Center to anyone. The staff there is too laid back, don't care attitude and horrible customer service. *** The young man Terrance was very kind to me*** give him a raise or promote him to manager. If not , I hope he gets another job where his customer service shines more because he is in a terrible work environment. Don't go here viewers. You'll be waisting your time & money.

I would like to thank Terrence at the Walmart Auto Service Center. Despite the Center not having our car's battery in stock, he was still courteous, kind, and proactive to help my sister and I during our time there. Not only did he provide great recommendations (including the Autozone on Annapolis Rd), but he also help jump start our car for us to get there. Thank you!!

I should have read the reviews BEFORE I booked a tire appointment at the Arundel Mills car center. I dropped it off a little early, but here I sit two hours later with no end in sight. I asked about 15 minutes ago, but was rudely treated by the associate with the scraggly red hair(Jonathan). I was told that they had a lot of appointments come in and that my car wasn't first. It was just getting in the shop almost two hours after my appointment and apparently I should not inconvenience the associate by asking about it. Big mistake coming here! UPDATE: it took a very full 3 hours for them to get it done. I wasn't the only one standing there waiting and unhappy with service today.

Unacceptable Service and Disrespectful Staff at Walmart Auto Service Center** I'm writing this review at 3:17 pm, while still waiting for my car to be serviced after having an appointment at 10 am and 11 am for an oil change, tire replacement, and rotation. The experience has been horrible and the staff have been extremely rude. Walmart needs to address these issues immediately. I arrived at 10 am, and despite having an appointment, I waited for half an hour before anyone even took my information. I had clearly requested two specific tires to be changed, providing written instructions to avoid any confusion. However, the staff member who took my order refused to let me review her notes to ensure accuracy, and as a result, the wrong tires were changed. Technician Dale, who handled the tire replacement, failed to follow the notes provided and changed the wrong tires. When I tried to correct him and guide him to the correct tires, he became defensive and shouted at me, saying he wanted to "just do his job." This was a clear display of disrespect and zero customer care. After that, my car was pulled out and parked for 30 minutes with no explanation, despite still needing an oil change. I asked another technician what was going on, and she mentioned that Dale might have gone on a break. Even after he returned, my car was still left unattended, while the service lane remained clear. This is unacceptable. I urge Walmart management to take immediate action to improve the customer service and accountability of their technicians. This experience has been frustrating and exhausting, and I will be looking for the manager to report this issue in person. **Walmart, you need to do better!**

I had an appointment for a tire change at 8am. I get there a bit early and the door is open, but the office is empty. I give it a few minutes, no one’s there besides ONE mechanic. I ask him how long it might take before someone comes to check my car in, he doesn’t know. Two more people come in (one with an appointment that’s also at 8) and luckily two store managers notice us. We’re told that they’re severely short staffed and although there’s one mechanic already there, he can’t work by himself (makes sense 🤷🏽♀️)…but they’re not sure if or when the other mechanics and the auto center managers will get there. Myself and the other person with an appointment had tires sent to the store; we ask the two store managers if they can find our tires and put them in our cars so we can go somewhere else to get them installed…they don’t know where the tires are or how to log them out of the system. The only other option is to come back at 10 and HOPEFULLY someone will be there. I live nearby so I go home and come back…still no manager. At this point, I just want my tires on so I go ahead and check my car in, do some shopping while I wait. An hour goes by and I check my car’s status on the Walmart app…they still haven’t started. I ask a woman who was waiting before me how long she’s been waiting, she tells me two hours and they still have yet to service her car. At this point, I ask for my car key back and my tires, I’ll find somewhere else to get them installed. To say this was an inconvenience is a MAJOR understatement. This auto center is EXTREMELY short staffed and there’s no communication between employees or customers; it seems like the managers hope and pray that employees come in. Please, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!!!!

Too inconsistent and you must have Patience to deal with them. I had my 2020 Chevy Equinox serviced there twice. Both oil change and tire rotation. First off, scheduling an appointment online is useless as they seem to treat everyone like walk ins. You usually have to wait a considerable amount of time for someone to come to desk to the service desk to greet you. They do not allow you to get an Oil Change and Tire Rotation in One Session. You have to schedule Separate Appointments therefore it will most likely take multiple days just to get an Oil Change and Tire Rotation. The first time I got my tires rotated the Technician pop the tops off 5 of my wheel lug nuts and didn't say anything about it. I later found out about this. I didn't return or complain. I instead purchased replacement lug nuts and also Wheel Locks to have them install the next time I have my vehicle serviced. That next time was Yesterday (Oil Change) and Today (Tire Rotation). The oil change does not include Air Filter Replacements. Thats a separate fee. I asked for both my Engine and Cabin Filter to be replaced. They did not have my Engine Filter in stock. While they were rotating my tires today the Technician had the Desk call and ask how I wanted my wheel locks installed regarding how many on one tire? We are in the DC Region where vehicle tire thefts are on the rise and have been in the news lately So how does an Auto Technician not know how to install wheel locks? All together and Oil Change, Cabin Filter Replacement, and Tire Rotation cost $114. And they didn't even refill my Windshield Wiper Fluid. Bought and installed the Engine Filter myself. For that price, my own labor, outside cost, and the fact that it took multiple appointments to get it done, I rather now go back to getting my vehicle serviced at a Dealership.

Although I expressed extreme patience, this service was completely horrible. I purchased my tires online, and the installation wasn't available until 10 days later. Walmart canceled my purchase because i didn't pick my tires up prior to the scheduled installation (absurd). I spoke to a manager who told me to come in at 7am on Sunday, to beat the schedule appoints, since i was no longer on the schedule. Upon arrival, no mechanics were on duty, but 1 service manager. By 9am, only the 8am scheduled appointments were being honored. Some of those customer tires weren't even available. The manager who told me to come in at 7 never arrived. So, i left Hanover MD and drove back to Harford County. I ended up paying a lot more for better service. Never again.

Absolutely unacceptable failure of service and unprofessional manager. Needed 2 new tires on my Honda Odyssey and knowing they were busy made an appointment (as soon as they opened), nearly 2 weeks in advance. Arrived at the appointment early and knowing they were short staffed came prepared for a wait. After waiting nearly 2 hours I was told that they would not be able to change my tires afterall because the only lift capable of lifting my vehicle was 'covered with tire storage'. Apparently my vehicle (a pretty standard modern midsized van) isn't able to be lifted by 5 of their 6 lifts and they weren't aware of the issue. After some discussion I asked for a manage, not looking for compensation but rather just some assurance that they would make adjustments to their processes so it didn't happen in the future. The manager was extremely unprofessional and after a very very brief exchange stated that identifying these issues when people make appointments would be 'too hard' and I just needed to "go somewhwere else". Extremely dissatisfied in what happened but more annoyed at the flippant dismissal by the manager on duty and disregard for their customers time. Additionally, while I was waiting I saw them tell multiple people they were only doing appointments today however when some came up for walk-ins they would slide them in. No consistency at all. Lastly, important to note that just because you have an appointment doesn't mean they will see you at the appointment time as they are routinely working off workload from the previous day.

If I can give them less than 1 star I will definitely do. Save your time and go somewhere else. Costco tires is the best place to go to. It was a very bad experience, from the first day I picked up the new tires that I ordered online and had an appointment scheduled on pickup day to install them... But cuz they couldn't take the lock nut out, I wasn't able to install it on the same day.... They asked me to go to the dealer to take the nut out....what? Then I came back to install.... Good luck finding the front desk guy to check you in.... Always away from the desk.... Like 2.5 hours to complete the installation..... 4 weeks after installing the tire, one tire keeps getting deflated and I need to add air... Every week... Came back to check it and they couldn't find the problem.... It happened again and came back 2 more times to try to get it checked again... But they didn't let me in cuz they can't take cars after 3:30 pm and they work by appointments only even center hours are till 7 pm so I asked to schedule me but they replied they can't do it from the store!!! Tried to call in but they never answer the phone I will never come here again

I ordered 2 tires online and made the appointment to get them put on at the same time. When i got there for my appointment they were about an hour behind. No biggie because they were short staffed. The manager checked me in and told me my rear tires was good. Once the guy got on my car he tells me i need 2 rear tires as well. I told him no they're good. He kept pushing the issue but i declined. I also asked to plug the passenger rear tire but they told me my tread was too low to plug it. They then come in and tell me they had to break the lug nuts because they couldn't get them off. So i would have to purchase new ones because they don't have them in stock. Then a guy (a mechanic) who wasn't working on my car tells me i need brakes and rotors. I asked him how does he know he says he glanced at them when the guy was installing my tires. Then he proceeds to tell me that he does side work. When i asked his name he would not tell me. The manger is the only person who i would give a good recommendation to. I will never go here again. Update Today I went to get my tire plugged at a tire shop and they told me my rear tires was good and they plugged the tire. Also they told me the other shop stripped my lug nuts so i will need new ones. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES would i visit this location again. If i could give them O stars I would.

Make sure to buy a pillow and blanket while you wait. Getting 4 tires installed took nearly 2 hours. Took my car 30 mins after my scheduled appointment. After driving home, 2 of my tire sensors stopped working, which worked perfectly fine before. Of course, they told me I can schedule an appointment to come back so they can take more of my money from a problem they caused. Took it to another shop and they informed that the walmart mechanic broke the tire's valve stem along with 2 of my sensors and to never get work done on my car there again.

Exceptional Walmart Experience My recent experience at the Walmart Auto Center in Hanover MD today exceeded my expectations. The store number is 03490. I had to replace my tire today due to a slow leak and was able to quickly make it to the store. I was greeted by the Department Manager Lloyd who not only quickly assessed the issue but also went above and beyond to ensure that I was back on the road as soon as possible. I came in to replace 1 tire but ended up replacing all 4 due to Lloyds inspection of the DOT symbol and tire dry rot of all 4 tires. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional, and his customer service skills were beyond exceptional. I also had the opportunity to meet the service manager Maurice Taylor who was also exceptional. If you are looking for excellent services and a great on your tires, visit this location. Also, I saved a ton of money with the installation. I called a competitor and they quoted a price of $40.00 to install 1 tire. With Walmart, the installation was less than $60.00 for 4 tires!!!! I highly recommend this location, see Mr. Lloyd and Mr. Taylor, they are exceptional!

I would absolutely rate “0 stars” if possible. I waited an 1.5hrs for an oil change that I didn’t receive because they didn’t have the filter. This was never relayed to me while standing in their view during the entire duration of them “trying to figure out the filter situation”. The entire mechanical staff made lackluster excuses as to why it took so long to come to the conclusion, despite knowing the make and model and having access to the information as any auto-service provider has. I would avoid any type of service outside of tire mounting from this establishment and even that may be a stretch after encountering the staff. What makes this so ludicrous is that I keep a spare filter just in case, so this could’ve/should’ve been avoided after arriving and checking the vehicle in. Also, the waiting room is rather unattended to; hence me literally hovering around my vehicle and service desk. Truly deplorable experience.

I had an overall very positive experience at this Walmart auto care. I had called around to a few different Auto Care Centers and kept being told I needed an appointment, which would be weeks down the line. I just so happened to stop by this Arundel Mills Walmart and was immediately taken care of. I first went on a Saturday afternoon. They had me in and out in under 2 hours and there were a few cars ahead of me. I ended up going back the next day, on a Sunday to replace my other two tires. And the place was empty. They had me in and out in 45 minutes flat. Highly recommend

This review reflects the work performed for new tires, this review does NOT reflect the customer service at the counter, (which was poor). All four tires were installed perfectly, balanced and TPS sensors working perfectly. The tools in my trunk were respected and none missing, everything was put back in place, including the spare, (instead of just throwing the spare in the trunk of the SUV, it was properly installed back on the bottom of the SUV). Great installation experience and great tire prices.
