Do you own a shitty dust covered car that hasn't moved in months? Even without the proper parking tag dont worry they won't touch your car! These greedy predators only want the new shiny cars that can gouge the cost of towing. Did they look to see that my tag had fallen on the floor? No. Did they act like it was a big inconvenience for them to get my car out at 445am? Of course. Have they driven by my car nightly for the last 2 years with a custom license plate? Yes. But one night the tag fell and they swooped in like the vultures, they are. Can I add pics of dusty car they drive by nightly? No. Can I add pic of my hang tag on the floor? No. Can I add pic of my apartment building reimbursement of the unnecessary $320 tow bill? No. And they bent the hell out of my license plate. BTW the $320 bill, my car was on their lot for less than 5hrs & I walked to the tow lot in less than 10 min from where it was towed.

1 star — Updated Review I’m rewriting my original review in response to the company’s reply, which is completely false. I have audio recordings that directly contradict what was stated. Under Maryland law, I’m entitled to retrieve my personal belongings from a towed vehicle under supervision—no payment or title required. Despite that, I was told I needed the title and was then refused access altogether. That is not only wrong, it’s unacceptable. Based on my experience, this business operates in a way that feels dishonest and intimidating. I strongly advise anyone dealing with them to bring a police officer or legal representative to protect their rights and ensure proper conduct. I will also be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and any relevant licensing or regulatory agencies. Businesses that rely on intimidation and disregard the law should be held accountable.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolutely terrible experience. The staff at this towing company are extremely rude and unprofessional. From the moment I spoke with them, the employees had a foul mouth and spoke to customers with complete disrespect. They act like customers are beneath them and talk to people as if they’re their slaves. On top of the horrible attitude, they overcharged me on multiple things and did not clearly explain the fees. It felt like they were just trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of the situation. Customer service is non-existent here, and the way they treat people is unacceptable. Avoid this company at all costs. There are plenty of other towing companies that will treat you with basic respect.

It is with great sadness that I leave this review. I did not have a pleasant experience with this company. Mr. Ralph was my tow truck driver and he was very unprofessional. I only needed to be towed one freaking mile and Mr. Ralph was very upset that the dispatcher at Jim Elliott's assigned him to me because my call came in less than 30 minutes before his shift ended. The way he acted, you would have thought the service is free. My mom talked about her father dying in the 1950s and he said, that he was not going to "pay and beg too." I am not a charity case. I have a master's degree, a sister who is a surgeon and our father owns lakefront property. I apologize for my car breaking down at an inconvenient time for you. Bad-mouthing his employer telling me that his employer doesn't even give him two days off a week. Why do I need to know this? I tried to get Frankford Towing, but the dispatcher told me they had nobody who could help me and recommended Jim Elliott. I stand ready to show my receipt and bank authorization to anyone who thinks this is a false review.

I used Jim Elliott’s towing service for my Tesla model 3. Dead battery trade-in The Driver TJ was so helpful was able to get access through the front bumper to unlatch hood and then again jumpstart to have access to be able to open the doors to get my valuable stuff from inside. Thanks a lot Tj I truly appreciate it 😊

Called from NY on a Sunday afternoon to tow my daughter's car in Baltimore to Mr. Tire for repair. They were fast, pleasant and reasonably priced.

TJ was awesome! He came here promptly on the same day I called and worked with minimal space. Somehow he got my car started for just enough time, to get it out so it could be hauled onto the tow truck. He was friendly, prompt, professional, and reassuring the whole time. 5 stars, and a huge thank you :)

My employer hired this company to transport my toolbox (a 56" box with a hutch) from my home to a shop in Timonium. No issues then. Transferred to another shop in Perry Hall and this time when we used them, they damaged the top of my hutch beyond repair. Claimed they're not responsible for any damages which is complete crap AND also tell us that they're trained professionals. When we called to inquire about the damages they told us "while our people are trained professionals, this is very common when transporting toolboxes". If it's so common when transporting toolboxes, maybe you guys shouldn't be in the business of moving them. Would rate 0 stars if I could.

On March 14, 2025 I called for a tow. I was quoted $125 to be towed and $5 a mile. They insisted that I give credit card information over the phone, I reluctantly gave it to them. I called to cancel my tow as I didn't need them anymore because I drove myself home. THEY STILL CHARGED MY CARD (fraudulent)CLAIMING A" SHOW UP FEE" the driver never showed up, never talked to a driver and they never stated that it would be a "show up fee". DO NOT GIVE THESE SCAMMERS YOUR CARD INFORMATION BY ANY MEANS! GET THE SERVICE FIRST. VERY DISHONEST AND SHADY BUSINESS PEOPLE!

The driver was trying to get me to run off the road or hit another car. Got in fro t of me shining the huge lights in my windshield so I was blind. When we finally so.ehow reached the red light,he yells at me to turn my high beams off . First off,he wasn't even in front of me ,he pulled in front real quick as I was approaching a red light. Second of all ,you're in a huge flat bed tow truck,in in a tiny car

I was recommended by a Volkswagen dealership to use this towing company and was charged $250 to have my car towed from Sinai Hospital to the Parkville dealership. When I inquired about the cost, I was told it would be a flat rate of $125. However, I was charged an additional $50 for a wait time that was never communicated to me. When I asked the manager/owner if he recalled telling me this, his response was, "probably not." I was also never informed about the $5 per mile charge. I requested a refund, but was told no and encouraged to leave an honest review. I told the dealership they should reconsider their partnership with this company. According to Google, the route is only 9.4 miles, yet I was still overcharged. I plan to report this business to the BBB. In these difficult times, it's disgraceful to see small businesses take advantage of hardworking people. I would have been better off using Triple A. Learn to communicate more effectively so there won’t be any confusions. Thank you.
