They charge for almost everything and is not cheap, If they were so strict in keeping to their open hours ( they closet without notice and it feels nice to load your truck, drive all the way there and found out is CLOSED ) as they are checking permit stickers (if you don't have or it's expired they made you buy one right away or you will not be able to dump your trash) or using the super expensive orange bags (even when you going to throw out the trash yourself).
So glad we wasted a trip with our dump trailer because you couldn’t bother to update your website or voicemail that you would be closed on Thanksgiving eve, didn’t know that was a holiday
I see people complaining about trash cans being broken. That's not the responsibility of the Transfer Station. Casella does that. As for the dump, they are pretty quick, efficient and I actually love making dump runs. The employees direct you and move people through in a timely manner.
Haven't been there yet!
If you work for a living, they are not open.
Closed Sundays, closes at noon on Saturday, closes at 3 weekdays. I doubt these hours adequately serve the community.
What sense does it make that I have to pay $5 a year, plus the cost of the trash bags to throw away my trash if I can skip the $5 and not have to haul it myself?
Should do away with the PAYT bags if you bring it in yourself.
It would be nice if it was ever open during the hours but it appears that the hours posted are merely a vague suggestion and not at all an indication of when it will actually be open. Every time I've gone there it's been closed even though the hours posted say it should be open.
On Wednesdays my trash is picked up. And have had our barrels broken because the throw WM workers. So kind of them.
My sister-in-law is a senior citizen who pays taxes and buys these "pay-as-you-throw" bags to have her trash picked up just like any other Sanford resident. She puts her trash roadside for pick-up on Wednesday, also. But, the problem is WM hasn't decided which of the 2 trucks that go by her house, right after going by mine, should pick up her trash. So there it sits waiting to be picked up still. More than 7 times now. Do you think that the contract (we residents pay for) with WM Sanford can get their act together and pick up her trash? NO! Not yet. What's going on here?
Always easy ,always pleasant staff .
Better than having a dumpster and if someone thinks that bringing their bags to the transfer station is “hard” ,they should reconsider what is hard to do in life.
3 weeks of the last 4 I have gone to the Transfer station on a Tuesday and a Wednesday because they won't pick up on Shaws ridge, we pay for the orange bags, we seperate and recycle and it has become very frustrating hauling our orange bags to this place when the hours posted on the fence are not the actual random hrs. We pay heavy taxes and I'm tempted to leave my orange bags at the gate on days they are supposed to open!!! Our taxes and purchase of the recycle bags pay the salaries, just a bunch of B.S
