Well, I'd give Joe 5 stars for being friendly - and zero stars for his work. My car has a failed sticker now for over 6 week,s I had a catalytic converter put on by Joe, said to drive it 100 miles or so, I did, drove it all the way to Nashville to visit family, then knoxville and back to zachary. Getting Bank 1 Threshold issues. In Other words, its the catalytic converter As i scanned the computer and everything else is ok. I paid 2400 dollars for this. I went back and Joe said he'd take care of it, that was 6 days ago. Funny how life works , isn't it? I thought Rip Off Mechanics went away in the 70's 80's - guess not here in Zachary - I wrote a check to pay for nothing, so I am going to contact bank, get money back , and go across the street to Bryans Place and get his fixed. By the way, Joe don't even own a computer to read codes, as far as I know. PFFT.
I had a very bad experience when I took my car to Mr. Joe. He kept it in his parking lot for almost 3 weeks without repairing it, then tells me he’s waiting for a part to come in which took almost 2 weeks. My car is still not repaired. Never do business with this guy again. And he was paid to fix my car, but it’s not fixed. Bad business.
Joe Brown and his mechanic did a great job on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler exhaust system and catalytic converter in the past few years. They are kind and honest people that I would recommend to anyone who needs work done on their vehicle.
I enjoyed the service Mr. Brown did on my car. I explained what was going on he checked out my issue and what was wrong g with my car. He is very nice and courteous to his customers. Keep up the good work.

Me being a female I believe they took my payment and played me I went there to replace two Cadillac converters which was $1,800 within a week my car was still doing the same exact thing and when I called them they said they were too busy to get me in but yet and still I paid my money for two brand new Cadillac converters and my car it's still doing the same thing I would not recommend anyone to go there with major work because they are not good at what they do and they keep your car longer than expected and they're very unprofessional
Customer service is absolutely amazing! They are very kind and the prices are very reasonable. If I have anymore issues with my car I know where to go.
Changed 1 catalytic converter, didn't tell me there were 2, changed wrong one, couldn't fix after multiple visits, Doesn't own or understand code reader for check engine light, totally unqualified to be trusted to complete a repair, there's a reason the same broken vehicles have been sitting there for months/maybe years
It has been a year since Joe brown auto king has had my car, and originally only was supposed to check and see why it was running hot the day they took my car the told me it needed a new engine and they had one available to replace the old one and they were in the process of taking it out I explained my current financial situation to them and was told that they would work out a "payment plan" that would get me back in my car it seams as if one of Joe's mechanics sometimes wanted something other than money and when I wouldn't give him what he wanted he put my car on the back burner when they did do work on the car it always seemed it cost more than originally when I question this it was said that I was responsible for replacing the catalytic converter that was bad in the engine they provided my brother was with me when Joe was telling me that and ask if the engine was good since the catalytic converter was dad and was told that it was later on down the road when they claimed to hav had my car ready to pick up I was told that it was running but had a small oil leak and that they needed a another day to fix the oil leak welp somehow they ended up taking the engine apart only to find out it had damaged rod bearings and that they would have to have them replaced my brother was very adamant on the fact that that was a internal part of the engine and that I wasn't paying for the replacement of the them came the stories o the mechanic is sick his son baby is sick his son is sick we cant find him we will take your car to another shop to have them fix it wher is has been sitting for about 6 months I finally paid all of the money owed to Joe brown auto king and months latter my car still sits at another shop in a state of dis repair and I keep being told next week I will have the car fixed and still nothing my car hasn't moved I wouldn't recommend that anyone take even a child's power wheel to this place
Wouldn't waste my time here again took me almost a hour to get spoken to then got skipped by the dudes homie then 2 hours later i finally get told your next only reason i didnt leave my truck was blocked in
Nowhere else I'd go for exhaust work. He's done two custom jobs for me; both have turned out well. Very busy shop but work with Joe and he'll take care of you.
Their the best in town hands down, they will get your vehicle right and help you understand what it going on with your car & let’s not forget to mention the prices are reasonable... Very good people.
BEWARE, IF THERE WAS A SPOT FOR ZERO, THATS WHAT IT WOULD GET, WENT THERE WITH A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, JOE "THE OWNER" DIDNT EVEN USE A SCAN TOOL TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, INSTALLED CATALYST CONVERTER, AND ASSURED ME THAT WAS THE PROBLEM, DROVE FOR 5 MILES, AND SAME CHECK ENGINE CODE CAME UP, WOULDNT DO ANYTHING FOR ME, SCAMMED ME OUT OF 650 DOLLARS, DONT GO THERE,
