I couldn't afford to fix everything that was wrong with my new used 2012 VW Jetta... but they were able to fix the major issues and get my vehicle back on the road (and gave me a list of needed repairs)! This is my new repair shop! I will be going to them for everything my car needs! Thank you for being such a great business!!!

Called and easily got a scheduled time to get brakes and rotors for my car. Took it in and they inspected my brakes and told me I didn’t need any at this time. Took advantage of the coupon for an oil change which I needed. Was advised of some additional items for consideration for maintenance on my car but not pressured to do it immediately. It’s refreshing to have someone who will be honest with you about what you do and don’t need to maintain my car. Will keep Performance in my phone for future work and let others know who they can go to for their car maintenance

I cannot express the level of gratitude I have for Matt and his crew. My daughter and I were on our way to Southern Illinois for a memorial service when my car had issues. After checking with the local dealership and getting nowhere, we found Performance Auto Care, on google. We were immediately at ease after talking to Matt and explaining our situation. Matt kept my car, loaned us a car and sent us on our way. He stayed in touch with the status of my car after checking it out thoroughly. We made arrangements to pick it up on our way home. Picking up my car, dropping off the loaner car went smoothly even for a Sunday. I am so thankful to have found such a competent, caring, and reliable auto repair shop. Thank you Matt and crew!! I have an 09 Mercedes that had a steering column issue that no shop near me could fix. Mercedes was going to charge a fortune. Performance auto helped me get a wrecker service that came and picked up my car and brought it to their shop. They explained everything that was wrong to me and checked the car all over to make sure everything was in good shape. They kept in touch with me through the whole process and fixed everything I asked them too. I highly recommend them. Great care with my car and professional service. Thank you to all who work there.

I recently had an appointment at Performance Auto for an oil change and tire rotation. Unfortunately, I had a long wait, which was frustrating ! I paid my bill, and mentioned my disappointment to an employee. He immediately informed the owner, and to my complete surprise, the owner reimbursed my entire bill ! He later called me to confirm that he had personally taken care of it ! I was honestly shocked. It’s rare these days to find a business that takes customer service that seriously. He said the long wait should not have happened, and wanted to keep me as a customer. That kind of integrity and accountability says a lot about a family-owned business ! I highly recommend Performance Auto.

Mistakes Happen. Accountability Didn’t!

I originally took my vehicle in because I was told it had a rear main seal leak, a repair that was estimated at approximately $1,600. After diagnosing the vehicle, the shop determined that the issue was actually a failed oil drain plug and repaired it accordingly. I appreciated not being charged for an unnecessary rear main seal replacement.

Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there.

My vehicle was in the shop for over a week, and when I got it back, the radio and backup camera system were no longer functioning properly. The backup camera now stays on continuously. What is most concerning is that I brought the vehicle in for an oil leak diagnosis and repair—nothing involving the radio, dashboard, camera, or electronics. I still have not received a satisfactory explanation as to why those systems were disturbed in the first place.

In addition, the dashboard was not reassembled correctly, and the console cover over the 12V outlet no longer closes completely. While those issues may seem minor, they were not present when I dropped the vehicle off.

What disappointed me most was not that mistakes were made, but the lack of accountability afterward. Mistakes can happen in any profession. However, when a customer entrusts their vehicle to a repair shop, they expect honesty, professionalism, and ownership when something goes wrong. Instead, I felt like responsibility was shifted away from the shop rather than acknowledged.

Hopefully, the cost of dealing with these additional issues is a small price to pay for learning which businesses truly stand behind their work. Unfortunately, this experience reinforced many of the negative stereotypes people have about the automotive repair industry rather than helping change them.

I hope the company will handle future customers’ concerns differently and place a greater emphasis on accountability and customer service.

I came here to get a full inspection on my new used Benz I purchased and i’m very happy with the service. It was quick , reasonably priced, everyone was friendly and there was a waiting area with snacks and a tv. I would recommend this auto shop and return here in the future for any service I would need. They had better customer service than Mercedes Benz and that says a lot ! Thank you so much be blessed.

Fantastic and very professional operation. I took my Chevy truck to a dealership for a variety of issues. They wanted over $700 in just diagnostic fees and could look into for over a week. At the advice of a neighbor, I took it to Performance Auto Care. They identified and repaired the issues in 24 hours for substantially less than the dealership wanted to just take a look. On top of that, they were pleasant, professional, and communicated well. I’ve found my new auto shop!

Everyone knows it’s difficult to find a quality, reliable and most importantly trustworthy mechanic. I came across this business after a handful of auto shops not being able to diagnose the issue with my Kia. Including two separate KIA dealerships.

Performance, offered a free diagnostic and offered an extremely fair price for parts and labor. My car ran like new again!
I’ve been back since for other maintenance issues, and frankly won’t go anywhere else!

They provide full detail/ breakdown on what your issue is and what to expect. These people definitely know what they’re doing. Very professional and extremely helpful. If your issue will need to take more than a few hours or a full day they let you know up front and offer a loaner vehicle (if it’s available) as your car is being worked on.

This place is really good, unlike a lot of other auto places, they tell you the truth and even go above and beyond. Their customer service is friendly, I like that they do good work. Awesome and I highly recommend them.

Great experience at Performance. Solid work, good price (even came in lower than the quarter) and excellent customer service. They even have the friendliest shop cat I’ve ever met- and when you find out they bring him home every weekend so he isn’t lonely you know you’re dealing with good people!

The resonator on my son’s Thermal exhaust received damage when he ran over something on the expressway. Performance was able to work with company to order the parts required, install the equipment, and had him back on the road quickly. Communication was great throughout the whole process and the work was done correctly and in a timely manner. Extremely satisfied and would highly recommend their services.

They took the time to look over my car and its issues while also informing me on what was being done and what was found. Really felt valued while being there not just a customer spending money . They also had great prices. I recommend them for my repairs and upkeep if needed in the future .

Driving from Huntsville, AL to Columbus, OH when car lost zip and engine making strange noise. Found this shop on Goggle with great reviews....they deserve it! Friendly folks who got the job done. Turned out it was a bad fuel injector. I pulled in at 330pm, they diagnosed the problem, got the parts, and had me fixed up and out of there by 5pm. They had a huge garage with lots of cars being worked on but they bumped me to the front of the line and did their best so I would not have to spend the night. They offered me a car to go get something to eat if I wanted and gave me the remote to watch whatever I wanted on the large screen TV in the lobby while I waited. This was outstanding service by some wonderful and courteous people and I can't thank them enough!

Performance Auto Care was amazing! I had a small issue with my wife’s car and we were able to get the issues resolved same day. Didn’t realize how close these guys were to our house. Very professional and knowledgeable group of guys. Will definitely revisit for any other car needs

I have a car that sat in my driveway for a few months and needed several repairs. Performance completed all repairs and the car is running well. All work/estimates are communicated through email & text, as well as a phone call if needed.

Eric and his team not only are great mechanics, but great people. My 2019 Atlas had an engine misfire, they tried everything to keep me from getting a new engine including machining heads and taking it apart and putting it back together so many times that John can do it blindfolded now. After the first try the big problem was fixed, but still had a bit of a misfire. They still didnt give up and finally found a rocker that was off by so little you couldnt tell with the naked eye. Fixed it right up.

They ended up having my car for a couple months working on it, worked with me on the price and even gave me a loaner for the entire time they had it! Runs like a top now and I couldn't be happier with them! Highly recommend them and if you have a V6 Atlas and the chdck engine light comes on, take it there, they are officially experts on this engine. VW will just charge you $10k for a new engine, these guys care and wont steer you wrong!

This shop was recommended by a dealership i was having issues with, they kept my truck for 10 days then refused to service the vehicle. Highly unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend taking my vehicle here. So instead of accepting responsibility for terrible service you get on the internet and lie. No one ever screamed at anyone and your sweet Michelle made promises that she did not keep, she explicitly said that she would guarantee I had a great experience with your company. And thank you for admitting on the internet that changing a valve cover gasket and an injector seal is beyond your capacity. This should be an indicator of your Mechanics level of competency. Like I originally stated DON'T BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! NOT ONLY DO THEY HAVE UNQUALIFIED TECHNICIANS BUT THEY DISPARAGE THEIR CUSTOMERS INSTEAD OF JUST OWNING RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THEIR INADEQUANCIES!

Performance Auto Care took care of my oil and filter change on my Mercedes C300 excellent service along with a wheel and tire rotation up front about other items that needed attention in the future but not pushy at all highly recommend this business

I would recommend Performance Auto any and every day. Not only was every single person I came into contact with, whether it be in person or over the phone, was kind, patient, and informative. They got me in and out the very day I called for an oil change and to fix a MASSIVE oil leak (9 quarts in 2 days, it was bad). My husband has already decided to switch over to them from his dealership after my experience here and I would highly recommend Performance Auto to anyone. We will be back!

We were on our way to New York for a funeral when the EPC light came on and the car starting “limping”. We called Performance Auto Care and asked if there was any way they could check it out for us.

The fit us into a an already full schedule, did an analysis, diagnosed the problem, quickly ordered parts, and had us back on the road that afternoon.

The exceptional diagnosis and repair were only surpassed by the incredible willingness, honesty, and kindness of everyone from the young lady who made room for us, mechanic who performed the work and the owner who allowed/assisted them to rescue us at a really difficult time.

We were blessed beyond belief by their help and they have our wholehearted recommendation!

We needed to get our car checked and fixed quickly. Performance found the issue and returned the car the next day. They shared a few things we could address on the car, but did not press us to do unnecessary work. I appreciated their professional, friendly service and the cost was exactly what they said it would be. We plan to use Performance for all our repairs now!

They helped me out in a huge pinch when my throttle body on my car went out and they were able to get it in same day to get the part and then had my car to me next day completed. Not many places can do that. Not everybody's situation is the same but for me they managed to do it and they did a heck of a job doing it and are very friendly and family oriented and have an amazing cat

Excellent job! I'm very pleased with all the wk I'd request and everyone were consistently professional! Clean establishment and the staff were friendly as well. Knowing my wk request might take a day or two, I was given a loaner vehicle (per request) to drive while my vehicle was being repaired....I was a bit skeptical of the loaner, but it got me back and forth from where I needed to go! I would definitely recommend Performance Autocare !! Thks!!

Performance Auto Care did a great job on my corvette. My major problem, an engine misfire, was turned into a minor fix. They fixed it and called me back in two hours. The entire staff was professional, courteous and friendly. Pricing was fair and honest. 5 star visit.
