I was traveling from Louisville, KY back to Buffalo, NY with an overloaded trailer (roofing material I bought was much heavier than anticipated). I had borrowed a buddy's deck-over flatbed, rated to 12,000 lbs, but I had more on it than that.
On US-71 near La Grange, one trailer wheel decided it didn't want to be part of the trip anymore. It flew away on the highway. Tore off the lugs and left me with 1 wheel on driver's side and one hub sans lug bolts, both wheels still attached on passenger's. Very dicey. Was riding on one tire and a hub on the driver side. Could have been a horrific accident.
Was a mile from exit, so while on phone to AAA (they can't rescue trailers, but were very helpful finding me potential help), I inched toward exit on the shoulder at 1-2 mph. AAA gave me LuLu towing as an option. Luther answered immediately, about 10pm or so on a Friday night.
When I explained to Luther the situation, he instructed me on exactly what to do. When I expressed doubt about taking off the hub of the missing wheel, Luther told me he'd meet me at the Pilot gas station at the exit I was crawling toward, to see for himself. Using his tow truck to lift the trailer, he removed the busted hub and worked to try to free the remnants of lug bolts (no luck). He gave me a shopping list of what to buy, exactly the trailer store to go to for parts (I went with new wheel hub and new wheels; I needed four new wheels/tires to replace the existing, which were substandard). Told me to call him when I had all the parts together.
I checked into a hotel an exit back, after midnight, and got much needed rest. The next morning, Saturday morning, Luther came with another of his crew to change that hub and all four wheels. Because the trailer was so heavily loaded, it was a two man job (two tow trucks, no less); tow truck lifted one part; big floor jack lifted the axle. Then it was like a pit crew: first the driver's side, then the passenger side, the two of them replaced what had been on the trailer with all new wheels/tires.
Here's the kicker: Saturday LuLu Towing is generally closed; it's their day off. But because I was an out of town traveler with a broken trailer, he and his his partner came on their day off to fix it for me.
For all that, the total he charged me was $250. In 2026! 2 guys coming in on their day off, plus the night before ... he could have said a much higher number. I wouldn't have loved it if he had, but he had every right to. His concern for me was palpable. His knowledge was very helpful. His efforts were above and beyond. Very caring, very helpful, honest, and so reasonable.
If you're ever stuck in a jam near La Grange Kentucky, call Luther! You won't be disappointed!
Broke down off I-71 traveling to Nashville. Luther helped me out, got there fast and towed me to the parts store in Louisville for a reasonable price. Him and his wife are super nice people. Thank you for your help, wouldn't have made it to Nashville without it!
Broke down on a Saturday weight was less than 30 minutes. Everyone else quoted me three to four hours. Driver Timmy was courteous and professional friendly to good care of my car while loading and unloading

We had a blowout on the side of the road. Not only was I asked if everyone was OK but he allowed us to use his lift so I could get a tire back on. Good people are hard to find but these people are top notch!!
I was nice and stuck in some gravel he came through within 15 minutes of calling and helped l me out and made sure that I was good to go.
Pricing was extremely fair, service was prompt and he was friendly to chat with and work with.

I was impressed with how helpful the people at Lulu's were. He got the car to us quick and filled me in on a bunch of things I didn't know about my vehicle. Their pricing had to be the most reasonable I've come across for a tow. Luther also took the time to adjust the trash bags we had to put over the inoperable windows so the interior wouldn't get soaked.
My service truck which is a 2018 F350, had engine issues and I didn’t want to risk doing more damage driving it to the dealership. I called Lulus the day before and requested a truck in the morning, he was right on time, we got there in good timing, no hassle, fair pricing! Our car broke down and we needed to have it moved to a mechanic’s shop. Lulu was recommended by the shop. He was ready to tow it when we called! It turned out that the added coolant moved into the engine and it started. We didn’t need to tow and Lulu graciously declined any payment.

Tonight my sister was on the side of the highway after blowing out her tire in the midst of pouring down rain and pitch black darkness. Being a woman and alone would have scared just about anyone. Great towing experience, had my car shut off on me on Highway 53, he was there in no time and got the vehicle to my house in as little time as possible. Very professional, courteous, and friendly. Definitely would recommend them for your towing needs!
My daughter locked herself out of her Nissa Extera after work and we went to O'Reilly in Lagrange to get a lock out kit and met an employee of Lulu's off the clock who offered to help us out since O'Reilly didn't have anything. I have known this guy for about 5 years now. He's the best prices around for the service he provides. He's honest up front and he updates and calls you while picking up your vehicle or whatever you may have him doing. That takes alot of stress off people. Everytime I had to use triple a it was stressful bc the drivers don't communicate well. But Luther is the bomb dot com okay. I recommend him to everyone literally. Never met a more respectable tow truck driver than this man. So go lulu's towing! Yall number one!

My vehicle had an anti theft malfunction with the key causing my vehicle not to start & need a new key along with programming. I’m pregnant while my husband is in South Carolina for work so I was extremely lost to say the least. Luther let me know the issue when he got to me. Then towed me to the dealership I bought it from, unfortunately they are were absolutely no help. I called Luther again & he got my vehicle safely where it needed to go to a different authorized dealership. He was the least stressful part of the entire experience. I could not say thank you enough to this man!!! Communication was amazing, very honest & transparent in pricing, his knowledge of vehicles was wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about this business.

I live in Crestwood and needed to tow my vehicle into St. Matthew's and wanted to use somebody local. I found Lulu's Towing and gave them a try. I'm very happy with the service and professionalism, my driver Tim was very friendly and courteous. I will definitely use them again without question.
A few days ago my husband and I clipped a deer on 71 North near LaGrange. After some of the scariest moments of my life I'm happy we were able to walk away (including our daughters German Shepherd), avoid hitting anyone else and avoid causing any chain reaction behind us as we went off the road and immobilized my SUV. Luther arrived at the scene presumably called by the police officers who were called out to help us. I was shaken and in shock, worried my husband, grandpup and I would be stranded until my very pregnant daughter (due the next morning) picked us up. Luther assured us it was no rush, he gave me his card when I had no clue where to tow the car and let me know he'd hold it and that I just needed to have insurance call him to arrange the future transport to a mechanic. I'd highly recommend Lulu's You can just tell they are good and honest people. I am incredibly grateful for his kindness in a moment where I was not quite myself.
My daughter tried to turn around in a driveway and got stuck in a culvert. It was really bad…. I called Lulu’s at 10:00 on a Saturday night and they were there at 10:15. We can not thank Luther enough for the extra time and care he took to get my daughters car out with no damage. He could have just dragged her car out, tore out everything underneath, and been on his way. He went above and beyond, doing absolutely everything he could to save her car. Absolutely the best service I have ever experienced, after AAA left me stranded in a dangerous area on 1-71 south with a flat tire for 3 and a half hours and making every excuse with they couldn't get a tow truck to me. I called Lulu's and they were literally there in 20 minutes. Driver could not have been more professional drove me to Florence, KY. Price was more than fair. I bought a vehicle off of someone and it didn’t run. I was in a bit of a pinch. The vehicle was about an hour away from me so I contacted this towing company.
