The deal was made over the phone to haul a bulldozer through several states. From Kentucky to North Carolina the service was was extraordinary the people we dealt with were professional, prompt and courteous. Brian, the delivery driver, went above and beyond to accommodate our needs.
Me and my husband were driving home from TN to OH. We ended up getting a flat tire in KY at 7:30pm. No one would help us or did not have the right size tire. Gene actually thought of an idea for us to make it home to our children and animals in time. We will always remember him and he also followed up with us after to make sure we made it. thank you!!❤️
Needed an emergency tire changed after hours and the owner stayed over just to wait for me to get there. Didn’t care a bit. Will 100% recommend these guys all day long.

We were traveling from Michigan to Atlanta when we stopped for gas. Our truck wouldn’t start. I called for a tow truck on Easter Sunday. Not only did the owner answer the phone but picked up several more times while attending a funeral. They towed the truck and said they would do their best to fix it the next morning so we could continue our trip. I received a call from them the next morning. They had checked out the starter and battery cables, cleaned and tightened everything and had us back on the road by 9 am. He only charged us $75 and said he would let the insurance company take care of the tow charge. I have NEVER experienced such GREAT service and caring people. Could not be more grateful for this place! We started hearing a very loud squealing noise from our tires on our 5th wheel and we had to stop driving. After calling almost a dozen places where no one could help us, finally called Thorough Truck and they came out in less than half an hour! Gene immediately took off our tires, did a full inspection and got us back on the road very quickly. We were very lucky, we thought it was the wheel bearings or our axle, but it ended up being an accumulation of break dust making the noise. After we got back on the road, Gene called us twice to double check we were ok and that the sound was gone - that is phenomenal customer service!! Thank you Gene!!
Gene is a wonderful man. He and his crew came to us stuck without ability to start our RV motorhome. Attempted to start but ending up towing us to his shop where the next morning replaced our starter and we were heading north to Ohio before noon. Greatly appreciated Gene and his crew.
Amazing service. Happily came out on a very rainy night and got us back on the road in an hour. The gentleman who helped us got under our RV (still on the interstate) got the spare out from underneath and put it on quickly and efficiently. Also very low cost when considering their speed and the conditions. Very pleased! Pleasure to do business with!
Would give ten stars if I could. Got warning lights on the dash last night (Sunday) of my 06 Ram 2500 and the thick smell of diesel. Was able to limp it to the next exit and park at the shell on exit 62. The kind lady inside (Glenda) suggested Thorough Truck. On a Sunday night, they had my truck towed and back to their shop by 7:30. Patrick, the tow truck driver was exceptionally kind, helpful and professional. I called the next morning but they were so busy they hadn't unforwarded the phone from the weekend. About 45 minutes later I get a call that my truck is already taken care of. I misunderstood Gene, the man running the show, that he would send someone up to my hotel (15 miles away) to pick me up. What I misunderstood was that the driver, Curtis, another exceptionally kind, helpful and professional employee was already on the way. The poor guy had to wait for me to get packed and out the door. The cherry on top was that the price of services and parts were extremely competitive for a normal day, much less a weekend call. Cannot say enough good things about Patrick, Gene and Curtis. Will go out of my way to have these guys do future service on my truck. Thanks again guys.
Very dissatisfied with the service. Had them move a shed for us to a house we just had bought. Still gonna cost us $500-$1000 to have someone with a bobcat come out and fix the yard back , not to mention having to pay someone else to put the shed where it was supposed to go.
I waited a number of days to write this review to make sure my impressions were correct and not tainted by the emotions of the time. However, my feelings on Thoroughtruck Truck Repair and Towing in Berea, KY have not changed. These guys saved our bacon. We were traveling from St Louis, Mo to Oak Ridge, TN in our Chevy Duramax when the system gave a DEF error. This error limited the distance you can travel at a normal speed. This happened on a Saturday afternoon after all the Chevy/GMC dealers were closed. We stopped at a couple of big truck repair places, none of which worked on pickup trucks or Duramax engines. Both places recommended Thoroughtruck. We called Thoroughtruck at about 3:00PM and thankfully someone answered (they are a 24 hour operation). After talking with them we decided to drop the truck off with them and continue with a rental. We left the truck with them and they were able to repair the heater in the DEF tank and coordinated with a GMC dealer to repair a DEF pump which they were not prepared to deal with. Thoroughtruck Truck Repair and Towing not only did a great job for us, they did it at a fair price. We were far from home and in a fix, but they repaired our truck or coordinated work on our truck without taking advantage of our situation. I would highly recommend Thoroughtruck Truck Repair and Towing.
Our car broke down on the side of the interstate and they were very quick and very friendly! Gordon was our tow driver and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer, more helpful guy to help during a very stressful time. 10000% recommend Gordon and Thoroughtruck!
We spent about 6 hrs on the side of the road, waiting on tows requested through our auto club. Thorough Towing was finally called & they were there within an hour. I can't say enough about how good they were to us! We thought we were just getting a tow, but the owner recognized & addressed our entire situation. We were out of state, pulling our camper, when the transmission went out on our vehicle. The tow driver, Warren, quickly hooked us up & delivered camper, vehicle, & us to the shop where we were met by the owner after hours. He assessed our needs & met them one by one. He offered to set the camper up in a safe place on the lot or take us to a hotel for the night. When we learned the repair would take some time, we really wanted to get a rental car & go home to IN, and he made that happen! He put our camper into safe storage, and had Warren drive us an hour to the airport for a rental car because local car rentals were closed for the day. And the next business day, he arranged for a mechanic who could do our car repair. That kind of kindness & care is unusual from a business these days, and we really needed the help. I highly, highly recommend this business, and I can't say enough thank you's for their help & for the spirit with which they provided it. They truly treated us like family! I could give them as many stars as possible, and it would never be enough!
These are good ppl. Had a tire blow out on labor day. I showed up at their shop in Mt Vernon, and Aaron got me in and out quickly. Great attitude and good conversation. Didn't make us spend a fortune either. I really appreciate these folks.
Jake was a huge help when It came to moving my building and a pickup truck. He was very professional and very delicate with my belongings to insure that nothing was damaged. Thorough truck will now be my go to towing company , when you need a tow ask for Jake.
This company goes ABOVE and BEYOND! On the way to Lake Cumberland our boat trailer bearing went out and made a hot, greasy mess! Caleb came right away to assess the damage - it was bad. Miraculously, they were able to fix it by the following evening at a fair price. We highly recommend them!

Our RV lost a wheel on I-75 near Richmond KY recently. Jake from Thorough Truck happened to see us on the roadside and offered to get us off the freeway, and offered to repair the problem at his shop. Although it took some time to find the correct parts, once collected the repair was done quickly and with high quality. Throughout the process, communications were fantastic, and the shop even offered to allow us to plug in our camper at their repair site to keep our fridge running cool. Friendly and customer focused, I would highly recommend.
100 percent recommend Thoroughtruck Truck Repair and Towing. We were travelling north on the I-75 from Florida back to Canada. We had accommodations for the night in Berea, Kentucky. About 5 miles away from Berea, at about 10:30 pm, a leaf spring broke on one side of our tent trailer. The tow operator, with a flat bed truck, arrived promptly, and towed the trailer back to their yard/garage. He was very courteous and helpful. By 8 am the next morning, we had already received a call that they had someone come in early to replace the leaf spring, so we were able to get back on the road to Canada early. The cost for the after-hours towing and repair was very reasonable. We saw the tow operator and the owner of this business the morning of the pick up, and they were both so friendly and accommodating. They even offered us freshly BBQed hamburgers! Thumbs up to this business for excellent customer service!!
Caleb and Troy are THE BEST around!! Our car was having issues and they were so fast and courteous in getting to our location, getting it fixed and us back on the road in no time! Just wanted to take time to thank Brian. He was behind us and seen the back tire on our truck go down. Even before we new it was flat he motioned us over. And there we were, almost dark, could not let the spare down and no lug wrench to change the tire anyway. But Brian had the tools and knowledge to take over and help us get back on the road. Wonderful experience. Car quit at Kroger. A Thoroughtruck employee off the clock (jake) was there came and tried everything to help me then gave me a card. Called and the guy was nice and helpful, had a dude named Brian come get me and had me up and home in no time. Brian was awesome. Went the extra mile to get me squared away and had good conversation. Will definitely go to ‘em again.
This is the best towing service I have ever used. I requested them through AAA because I have the utmost confidence in them to safely tow our vehicles. We needed our travel trailer towed and Caleb the driver handled it superbly, he was on time, and dropped it right where we needed in one shot. I would certainly use them again.
We were heading out of town from Ohio. Had some issues with our batteries, then we found out it was our alternator.This company went beyond my expectations on fixing our rv and made it safe enough to get us back to Ohio from Tennessee.
