I bought my home two years ago in Williamstown and have used Stanco many times . They are a professional scrap yard and there prices are as good if not better than the others. I will continue to use this scrap yard and recommend it to everyone.
This is a great place to take junk into I only live about 2 miles from Cohen in Walton Kentucky and I'll drive past Cohen to drive to Stanco everytime I will not go to Cohen to take them anything. The ones at Cohen are rude and very disrespectful they cuss not caring who is around like my 10 year old daughter. And River Metal's are just as bad too. From now on the only place I will go to is Stanco. And thank you Stanco and all of your employees for being respectful and courteous great people to go and talk too
Horrible customer service and they never answer the phone but try calling before you go because their hours are listed wrong. They open later than listed, they close earlier than listed, and they close earlier than listed for lunch. Go anywhere else but if you have to go here, make certain it's not their nap time and they're closed again. Hours listed are not correct...

With their recent changes, they have really stepped up their game ,it's much more friendly oriented to do business with stanco, prices are very fair, and it is extremely much more organized than in the past. 5 stars here. Keep up the good work !!
I won't take any scrap back to stanco... I took 165 pounds of solid brass to them which was going for 1.65 a lb. Because of a couple small screws I got 65 cents a pound... Never again
This place is always been ok in my eyes upon the last time i went to turn in recyclables the man combined my seperated parts of recyclables and called it mixed n uncleaned n i got only 1/3 of my profit for my items. There was a reason i seperated them to begin with so this really griped my well u know...
These guys are awesome they really do take the time to help you out when your unloading and make sure that your vehicle is not damaged in the process!!!
I took almost 20,000 lbs of scrap lawn mowers. Staff are friendly and the guys in the yard helped when some got in a bind. Threw
Out the small pieces. I've use them before so I know the Steel Magnolias I run B&D Mower in Crittenden I get a big load about every year. It worked for me

I called to get a price and see if they could take old cars 20 years old or older they said yes and they told me $155 a ton. I got there with four cars loaded to the gills with steel. When I rode around they unloaded me everything is fine so far. Then I went to get paid they gave me $116 a ton. And naturally I was furious!!! They will never see my face in there again I confronted them and they told me that that was for complete cars the cars were complete with some four cars don’t weigh 7 ton. Louisville Kentucky is paying $200 a ton. I lost more than $60 a ton for a short drive to Louisville!!!!!!! Let me remind you The people are a bunch of liars
They made a few changes since I had last been there. I like the way they are operating now better. Just follow the signs, and they will have you in and out rather quickly.
Worst experience iv ever had there if this is how your going to run your business I suggest you just stay closed. Iv brought dozens of loads up here throughout the years always had a good experience! Maybe you should worry about your customers as much as your worried about some BS virus! I left my cell # let's see if I get a call! I'll take my business elsewhere before ideal with this again
