Called this morning because the shield under my car was hanging down & I also needed an oil change. They got me in right away this afternoon and I was in & out in 1/2 hour. Excellent service & reasonable price!
I planned to take my car to Des Moines to get it looked at, but unfortunately that didn’t happen due to my car not turning on. I called Mark Hansen towing the following morning asking for it to be towed and serviced in one go. I was told when the owner would arrive and he came within that time, was very friendly upon the initial meeting. Also, the price to tow it was very reasonable, I would definitely recommend!

All I wanted them to do was mount 4 tires and balance them but I had problems with my air tire sensors they figured it all out got it done got everything back on the road everything's working great tires feel really good at 75 miles an hour down the road. Keep in mind there's 2 Hansen automotive places one is tires and brakes the other 1 is more motor stuff and other things but together they can do most everything you need for a car or a truck.
AWESOME is my word of choice!! I locked myself out of my Jeep there in Ames. I call Hansen's and they were there in 15 minutes to unlock my car!! THANK YOU SO MUCH Mark!! They are on my list as top notch in service!!
Hands down the best place in Ames for all of your auto needs. They are honest and very reasonable!! I have all of my auto work done at Hansen Sinclair and Mark Hansen Cars. They have done everything from replacing motors to oil changes. I will not go anywhere else. 5+++ rating.
Always provide excellent service. They will pump your gas and clean your windshield when you go to get your tank filled. I trust them to not rip me off when I take my car in to get repairs. I've never had a bad experience.
Came in to have tires changed and they politely pointed out that I needed additional service (alignment) that they were able to schedule quickly and for a reasonable rate. Friendly service.
I'm not sure what to think about this mechanic. Needed to get a blower motor replaced on short notice and they got me in and had time for brakes and an oil change. Price came in under what I expected. Now for the reason I don't know what to think. After they serviced the car it only blows cold air out the floor vents. I took the car back and they said they couldn't get the car to replicate the problem. I picked it up in the afternoon and had to go pick my kids up. Less than 15 minutes (about 20 miles) into my trip home the blower stoped blowing hot air and started blowing AC cold air. I should mention I'm from out of town so given the time of day I was unable to turn around and take it back. So it makes me wonder much time they actually spent trying to replicate the problem.

Waaay above and beyond, so helpful, plus the shop is so well kept. Looks like a living museum. Even pump-side service! Mark Hansen is the most trustworthy and upfront guy. Everyone inside were so friendly and helpful.
Have taken my vehicles there countless times, never had a bad experience. If it doesn't need to be done you can trust that they won't force the issue. At this point I have blind faith that the repairs and pricing will always be good and fair. Would recommend to any/everyone. If I ever move away from Ames this will be one of the places I will not be able to replace.
If you are looking for an honest mechanic, I highly recommend Hansen's Sinclair. They didn't oversell me on things that "could" be done, but focused on the issues at hand. I also felt that the cost for repairs was fair. Give them a try and I am sure you won't be disappointed!

I used to live in Ames while attending college. I always took my vehicile to Hansen's to be serviced and to fill up my tank with gas. It was amazing to drive through my old town this past week and see many of the faces from 10 years ago! The employees are always friendly and HONEST! I would definitely trust them with your vehicle if you find yourself needing to get it looked at.
