DO NOT BRING YOUR TRUCK HERE They are going to have it sit for a month and not finish it or take it in for connecting rings on EGR and coolant tank good luck on your WARRANTY and keeping your driver for 250$ parking Diagnostic instead of telling you how long is going to be they are going to tell you waiting on the parts and try to keep you for 3 months

My truck been there since 12/1/2025 and still haven’t been able to fix it! It’s been a nightmare since I took my truck to this place. I spend 28 k and they still haven’t fixed it yet, incompetence is the only word for this dealer. I needed a new transmission for my freightliner or so they said then it was other parts and now the computer is not accepting the new transmission, I’m frustrated and I’ve spend my life savings and after a month and half still not fixed.

At first it didn't seem good as I had a frustrating DEF system Derate issue. But the tech was knowledgeable and the mobile repair manager understanding to my needs as an owner operator. Make sure to communicate what you are looking for upfront as they will clearly explain how things will go so no surprises. I would have given them 5 stars but my appointment time had slipped through the cracks with a computer upgrade issue on their end. Which as a driver we know that scheduling issues are inevitable. But communication is greatly appreciated when they arise. I would recommend this mobile repair service as reputable and trustworthy. Also remember that the service guy didn't "create" your issues and treat them that way so we don't have tons of grumpy service guys out there.

Service Dept. Believe all the negative reviews here because they are all true. This place operates as if it only has one tech to work on trucks. Extremely slow. Strings you along for time. Will not commit to anything. Lastly, if you’re counting on them to keep you updated as to what’s going on…Forget it because unless you contact them you’ll hear nothing. Then even after you contact them you’re likely to not know anything more than you did before. The only reason they even got two stars is they are friendly even if they are unhelpful.

I love the people at Transchicago, the counter people at the Gary location are very knowledgeable and helpful. Especially Zack, i can always count on him to help me in a timely fashion.

I had an issue with the Transmission on my 2022 Cascadia that another dealer in Missouri couldn't resolve. Thanks to Ashley Williams, my problem was finally solved. Excellent Customer Service! The service department was up front with us on when they could get the unit in which made it easier to determine what to do with thew driver. Unit was completed in a timely manner just like they stated. I would use Gary, IN location again, hands down. Extremely courteous and professional. Thanks!

We got our truck in there on Monday for an easy fix they started the diagnostic and the codes were still there after test. The problem was the dozer valve went bad. It was an after treatment code of an scr closed loop. We had to go in there Thursday to tell him what to do after sitting there for almost a full week. After we told them what to change and they did the scr test again, then it passed. Update the Dozier valve was not the problem. It was the one box going bad and all the other freightliners chose not to touch the one box except for premier truck group in salt lake City. And they make a lot of money off of all the forest regions they do so if you're having that continuous light take it to the premier truck group of salt lake City

This dealer always seems to find a new way to mess up my orders or make me struggle. I ordered parts for delivery and was never delivered. I called the dealer to check up on the order and the person didn’t know why it wasn’t sent out and made excuses. I advise people to use another dealer

Simply... I need the EGR and all clamps and gaskets that go with it... I was with the parts guy for 30 minutes... When I finally got them, I was missing gaskets... And again, the waiting line and games continue. I hope that guy is here on training or something similar. I hope... Boban, Shop Manager, 10-4 P.S. Sorry for writing this kind of review, but I lost 1 hour just to get the parts... too much (plus I had quote for this) In the end, Paul found everything in 2 minutes... I understand everything, but time is money. Thanks Paul You know that better than I. P.S. 😂 Paying is now much easier and faster.

We dropped our truck off on 1/15/25 for warranty work. It's been there for over 6 weeks now. Every time you call, they are waiting on parts. Then they need additional parts. Depending on who you talk to, an ETA can vary from tomorrow, to "I'm not sure when". It is by far the worst dealership I've dealt with. Hopefully, they can cover my truck payment while it is sitting in their shop.

Maybe if they hired some competent work force, the things would be better. Last Friday were told the truck's will be done the same day, only road test will be done on Monday. Called on Monday, said the tech is working on the truck and that road test should be done by the end of the day. Called them this morning, they stated the truck is done, they have to jump it and let it run, since engine repair has been done. Called them 5 mins ago, they stated that parts are ordered. Ashley does not know where she currently is, Kevin from service is not answering. Absolutely one of the worst dealers out there!!!!

Absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable!!! Brought my truck in on Tuesday and as of Saturday it’s still not been diagnosed!???? I know exactly what the problems are and what needs to be repaired. It needs some replacement places, which have to be ordered. The most frustrating part is this is the third time I’ve brought my truck in for basically the same reasons. Guess it’s me for thinking this place deserves my business and you should consider that before you come here!

Had to come here for repairs that were incorrectly done at a different location. What started out to be at least a week down time turn in to a same day job with minimal cost. It appeared they actually moved some things around and got in the same day and out about 12 hours later. Started with the guys that did the write up. Managed to move me up. Then the service manager and shop foreman I assumed worked me in. I don't suspect they do this with everyone, nor am I suggesting anyone expect this kind treatment. It's just this time and this day, things worked out for me. Much thanks

Wars service you can ever experinced!!! Service order103018555 Rear frame shifted left. truck have manufacture defect and 254mi on the odometer. They newer inform it's not covered on warranty and newer give estimate repair coast. Just tell me cannot relice teuck without payment. Update: Got reimbursed

I was next in line for the will call to pick up my parts. It took 45 minutes. When finally received them, I went to pay to the cashier, I realized 1 part was incomplete. I asked cashier to exchange it or not charge me for it, she told me to wait in line again and have my bill changed. I ended up buying incomplete part because I didn't have time to wait for 10 people in line. I just don't have time and patience for places like this.

James and Louis were incredibly helpful. Saved me a lot of money by finding the parts i need without having to buy anything unnecessary. They also got me the parts so much quicker than any other dealership i called. Highly recommend!

I have been calling for 3 days simply to get them to turn in paperwork for my warranty. Seems they don't like working with warranty companies here. Another customer told me the same thing in the past. Everyday they tell me they are turning it in today.

I deliver deck set trucks here (Gary, IN). Been doing it for years. They had some real problems with organizing and staffing. Their undecking area was a total mess. Many drivers told me they avoided this place. Not sure what went right, but all that has changed. New management? Employee attitude is upbeat and accommodating. New truck receiver staffing is spot on. They don’t seem to be overwhelmed anymore. Our work area is organized and cleaned up and they bend over backwards to work with us. Not sure how you all figured it out but somebody needs a raise! Thanks Joy for all you do for us.

They had the part that I needed to get my cruise control back in working order. The parking lot is a bit crowded so be careful if you are going there with a trailer.

It took 12 days to complete a 12 hour job. Like other reviews mentioned, rather than be upfront, they string you along with plausible stories. They were "just finishing up" starting around day six. I kept making plans as if this were reliable information, which ended up causing additional chaos and expenses that I could have avoided if they had been honest. This pattern continued until the last day. They already had most of the morning to complete the work. When I called late morning, they told me they were just going to test drive it and be done. When I showed up a hour after calling, my oil pan wasn't even on yet. Then "less than one hour" ended up being over two more hours from that point. I will never do business here again.
