They were somewhat difficult to work with. I paid a $50 core charge and they tried to give me only $30 which was kinda ghetto of them. Lady at the front wasn’t very friendly. After a significant effort on my part,I was able to get the correct transmission that I paid for from them. They’re doing something right and have a good amount of business coming in each day. 11-14-2023 @4:00 ,waited 7 minutes & 23 seconds, she picked phone back up said BARLOWS, I SAID I WAS WAITING FOR HER TO GET A PRICE OR IF THEY HAD ONE OF A fuel pump, etc. SHE SAID OH, HUNG UP ON ME. I CALLED BACK AND IT KEPT GETTING PICKED UP, HUNG UP PICKED etc for 3xs. I guess they don't need the business
This place is great! Been doing business with them for over 20 years. It is a salvage yard, you go to get used stuff and that's exactly what they sell you. Thanks Christi, Johnny and the rest of the crew.
I Called Barlow's and needed a Coolant Reservoir for a 2009 Chevy HHR, the lady said they had it and come on down, I was quoted $35. I told her I was on my way, and when I arrived, I seen a sign that said cash only, a female customer pointed me in the direction of a nearby convenience store with a ATM whereas I could acquire the need cash for the part I would be acquiring from Barlow's, I came back and waited what seemed a half hour I had observed some pretty Aggravated mechanic's coming in and out of office with the aura of high anxiety. Finally the gal said once I returned from having a smoke, that my total cost was $37.45 and the part was on the floor in front of counter where I paid her. I picked up part after paying and put the part in car, then looked under hood of my vehicle, to see how it would bolt in. After I arrived home, I went to get part out of car, and gather tools, when I noticed that they had (Mechanic) taken and cut around bolt area without removing the bolts,, leaving no place to attach the replacement reservoir once placed in vehicle leaving only the option of mickey rigging the reservoir in the area that it would fasten? Why would they be doing this, as a consumer you pay pay for a part, whether used or new, it should be complete, I am very disappointed in there practice, and will notify the BBB, and the Indiana Attorney General's Office as well.
I was lyfting a men to this place to get one tire as a driver I had to wait . They took a hour and 20 mins to get him a tire he needed . Told him they would be with him in 5 mins after 19 mins of arrival and as a driver I was patient
I love you guys expect for the last time when u gave the me the wrong side part but overall u guys are yayyyyyyyyy saved more than a few of my cars keep up the good work guys!!!! Oh yeah shout out to the lady up front to the cashier she is so nice
I received exactly what I needed. The cashier was very nice and the business was very well organized for a junkyard. An employee even carried my tire to my vehicle and put it in my trunk. I will definitely return in the future.
I called this #junkyard before I came out there to purchase a #headlight for a 2005 #chrysler #sebring. They said they had the light. I go there and tell them what I need, since they don't take parts off until you get there. I waited in there over an hour for a #headlight, A HEADLIGHT, are you serious? They come to bring me the headlight and I know that light is for a Stratus and not a Sebring or a different year Sebring, but either way, it won't fit the car. I show them a picture and they go back to get the light. Then this guy comes up with a headlight for a 300m. Now these people deal with cars and parts every single day, how hard is it to get me the correct part? Or did you think I would just hurry up and take it since you wasted so much of my day? Nice try, then leave me stuck with a part I can't use and can't take back because you conveniently don't refund people's money back. They go back one more time for about 10 - 15 more minutes, and say the one they had was broken. They offered to order me a new one, and I declined. So if your looking for a place to waste your day at, this is it. Otherwise I would recommend a different place.
Typical auto parts junkyard. Crew is nice, however, and really helpful. Don't expect a clean lobby, or anything fancy, but if you need parts at a good price Barlow's is a great place to go.
Very nice people. Will help you if they can. They had my part cheaper then what anybody else had it and there was only one other person in Indianapolis that had it.
