My mom‘s shed got trashed by a tree about a month ago. So after the tree was removed, we had a smashed metal shed that we needed to get rid of. So I loaded it up in my van and took it over to OmniSource metal scrapyard. I had never been to a scrapyard before. The people there were very helpful and guided me through the process. It was pretty easy getting the vehicle weighed, taking the junk metal over to the pile and then getting paid afterward. The first time I came there were other people around trying to get rid of their junk metal, so I was there about 15 to 20 minutes. The second time I came back later that morning with the rest of the metal I had there was only a couple of other people getting rid of stuff. So, I was able to get in and out in about 10 minutes. I felt they were fast and efficient as much as any place could be considering the difficulties that must be involved. They were willing to take my junk metal and give me money for it. I felt it was a good deal.
I’ve always have had a good experience here and they have always been friendly when I have came in and they are always willing to help or give me the information I need and good prices and I like it here a lot!!
Wish I could put a 0 start I am so appalled at my experience. I just left and was trying to scrap a large amount but I need my wife to come for her ID. I told her to park in the wrong spot and before she could move a black employee with a gold tooth came out a started calling her an idiot, I told him to not talk my wife like that because you don’t talk to people that way. Then got in my face trying to fight when I told him to stop being so hateful for no reason. I said I’m sorry she parked in the wrong spot but is moving and that is no way to treat someone let alone a customer. And shame on your other employees for just looking and watching instead of trying to defuse the situation.
Had lot more scrap to bring but will never be back.
This is the worst place to do business with. Employess are rude, lady at scale is always barred tf out. Ive never been to a place with so many people not looking to do there jobs. The location on west st is great in contrast. Good workers and efficient system over there.
this was my first time ever trying to scrap metal. The girl with a short hair in the office was on her phone. When I pulled up the first time onto the scale I pulled off of the ramp and Went into the office where she was just sitting on her phone and then was told to go back up onto the scale and sit and then following the signs posted that said do not park or stop on ramp I went to move forward, very unprofessional and Not given any specific spot was just pointed and told to go that way did not even sell my scrap. I had my ID returned to me and I left.
I always have a great experience here. They always sweep the lot and new direction signs are awesome. They know me by name when I come in and if I need to have them use the crane to take stuff off they always help. I got them longs doughnuts last month and always bring in snacks or household good to give to the public.
.04 a pound for car batteries and the website clearly states .10 a pound. The website also states you can take old T.V.'s here and then when you arrive with them you find out that they don't accept old T.V.'s if I were a lawyer I would have a hay day with Omni Source.
Had a misunderstanding and these guys more than helped make a resolution. Super grateful they cared enough to get back to me. Thanks OmniSource & Brian Corley for reaching out and making it more than right.
Bait and Switch company. Thieves. Avoid at all cost. Only one star because I cant show negative stars! Called around for best price on aluminum cans. $.49/lb to $.55/lb was price range. Omni Source had the $.55/lb price. Drove there told to dump in a hopper and it would be weighed in machine. 18 lbs total weight. Only paid $.47/lb. Went in office to complain and was told by RUDE employee that prices drop. I'm supposed to believe the price dropped $.08 in 30 minutes?
Lowest price and lazy staff. You have to do all from unload to inside. Even you have to put ur scrap on weight scale. They are so rude. I love Omnisource S.West street location. Very cooperative staff and better price. Same company but different price and customer service. I hate that 25th street location. I will go back to S.West st location. Better price and better service.
OmniSource on 25th Street has the rudest people I've ever seen running the machine wouldn't give me my money and the manager and the guy running the place said to leave the place and never come back I called corporate office, and got my money if it wasn't for me call the corporate office I've never would have received my so whoever Scott is Iyou made him get on the computer and look to see that I didn't get no money thank
I would give this place 5 STARS , but their ATM machine was "out of order"....so, they had to print out a paper-check.......I mean, who has time for that??? We don't!!!!
This was a horrible day for me wet Drury my niece died the day before and something inside of me died today to right here in OmniSource but as a business they're great you should try it scrapping is good money
Do not go to Omnisource. Especially this location on 25th. I confidently took in 50 pounds of aluminum for them to say I only had 22. But I could not do anything because they weighed it on top of a conveyor, which immediately went into a bin, and the metal was gone and irretrievable to prove otherwise. Something was very wrong.
Will never be returning, they ripped us off for over $100, do NOT waste your time by giving them buisness. If I could give 0 stars I would, as it seems I was not the only customer who was stolen from. Fudged the paperwork stating that the stainless steel fridge, and other refrigerator were shredded sheet metal. As well as 58 pounds of aluminum gutters saying they were painted siding. As well as a copper bar being said it was shredded sheet metal. After bringing this up to the man in the receipt center, he would not allow us to take our buisness elsewhere and grab our items. He would not give us a price printout. Extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, all in all they are thieving cons and I will never be returning and I will be contacting Better Buisness Bureau in the morning.
The younger fat guy that’s always in the office,very rude and unprofessional after the man gave me a hard time over paperwork for the metals I hauled in my trailer,I guess he thought I was not going to provide paperwork,Unfortunately for him I did after that the man still came up with another excuse how his supervisor is on vacation and that he won’t be able to process the scrap metals.The truth is it was the end of the day and he was in a rush to leave and did not want to do his job now that’s the truth bad business,I have not returned since that day,I was a faithful business man and bought them business for about 5 long years it been almost 1 year and no return,my other business associates stop also they business with them, If I could rate them a zero I would but reviews won’t let you do it . Thank you Omni source for the change that I was put threw
Time. Disorganized the problem was all the way the scale office was being run. And the place was very muddy never going back there again. Sorry that I had to give them one star
Show up right before you close. Tells me he isn't taking anything else today and he already sent other people away. Glad I drove 30 minutes for this guy to send us away when you were supposed to still be open.
Showed up in my work truck with copper and aluminum. Company truck and uniform. Gave him a business card. They tried say the scrap was stolen. They made me clean nasty garbage out of their bin to fill it. Will not go back.
