I’ve been going to this junkyard for almost 10 years now, I’m on my 48th vehicle, they have everything all the time everywhere. This is the only junkyard I’ve found that offers a year and 3 months warranty on electric parts. Not to mention the batteries and tires that are in good to great condition and you can had pick yourself.
Would never go back. The lady at the front desk was nice but the management is terrible. They basically strong arm you into not getting your money back. The sign says no CASH refunds, so we paid with card and they wouldn't refund anything. It's misleading and I wouldn't recommend ever going there unless it's the last last last option you have and even then I would hesitate.
If the sign said NO REFUNDS I wouldn't be leaving a bad review but they purposely mislead customers.
Sorry for the late review on these guys, but I've been coming here for several years now. Since 2002. I used to buy parts for my Taurus until it was time to send in the Taurus. (302k miles). That was a sad moment... Then it was the Avenger. No parts bought just drove the car in for sale. Sold 3 vehicles, and I have bought almost a hundred parts. They don't always have everything, but they haven't done me dirty yet. So I still come.
Love this place! Wouldn’t go anywhere else I’ve been coming here 25+ years easily and I won’t go anywhere else! Staff is always friendly and helpful, even other customers help each other out here!! 95% of the time I find what I need as well thanks guys for being a great place in the city of Hammond for all these years
Sold my truck then deposited the check and 5 days have gone by with a “accounting error” still haven’t received full funds. impossible staff to deal with. SELL YOUR JUNK CARS SOMEWHERE ELSE.
They were selling vehicles before and lied saying the vehicles had no major issue the transmission went out right when I drove off the Lott I do not ever recommend going here.
Usually really clean, the cars are mostly already lifted off the ground and the walk way is larger gravel rock, so it's not usually muddy if it rains. You will still have puddles though lol There is a $2 dollar entree fee to get into the yard also. Large selection of Cars, Suvs, and Trucks of most makes and models.
Drove over 2 hours to find out the car on their website is not on the lot for weeks now. Both Summit and Hammond locations have cars already stripped with no parts left to remove which should already removed for scrap. Waste of time and gas.
Supposed to be open from 8 am to 6 pm today and no one can answer the phone I've called 3 times and it just rings for 3 minutes until the call disconnects. Drove past on my way into work and there was people there so they're not closed...
Charged me to get in then I got 2 out of the 5 parts I needed small selection of vehicles. Was told a price over the phone then given a price double that in person. I ended up leaving the parts behind. Ridiculous. Waste of my time and money. Seriously unprofessional guy behind the register too.
The place was amazing. We drove all the way from Columbus to get a car part from there. The yard was well organized The service was better. We were helped by Ashley. See was amazing and helped us a lot with deals and the benefits of signing up.She also recommended us a great pizza place (House of Pizza) which was amazing. Jorge signed us up and was great very nice. This is by far the best pick n pull We have been to.
Success! I needed a motorized side mirror for a Jeep Liberty and they had what I needed. The lot is pretty organized, the map they provide got me to the vehicles I was interested in. Salvage yards can be hit-or-miss but this time I came away with a useful part.
Was happy finding most of the parts I was looking for and of course the half price savings for memorial day. Only mishap was the truck I was looking for was described in the incorrect color which mattered since I needed a bumper to match but oh well we're human after all lol
It's a junkyard where you pay to get into the yard and you pull the parts that you need and bring them to the counter for a discount not a bad place just be careful choosing the parts you're pulling cuz a lot of them don't have guarantees or warranties or refunds cuz they're pulled off as is and that's how you buy them I think you can pay extra to get a warranty
Not a great selection and over priced. I paid double here for parts compared to LKQ in Chicago Heights. I have gone here alot and just always leave like ive been taken. On a fluke i went to LKQ and it reminded me of a junkyard when I was a kid. Big selections and the entire light assembly i almost paid 75 for only cost me 18 dollars! Would not recommend pick n pull
It is organized. You go in tell them what you looking for. They get you the location of where its found and you pay your $2 per person fee. And you good to go. You have to bring your tools also and if you have a bag with you check them in before you step in.
It was excellent for me found what I was looking for👏🏽 most definitely recommend👌🏾
Friendly staff counter man was very helpfull on location of part i needed. Price was very fare . location was a bit deep in water but he warned me of that. Its a great place to go for parts for you car. I recommended anyone very fare priced. You made my day pick -in- pull!!! Of Hammond Indiana.
The customer service at this location is horrendous. I came in to try and pick up a few parts for my car and upon leaving I was harassed by who I believed to be a manager. He searched my toolbox from top to bottom upon leaving (which isn’t the insulting part). The part that was insulting was how he treated me very rudely. It was heavily implied that he suspected me of stealing parts (asking me about every single fuse or spare car part I had inside my toolbox) with the kind of attitude he had I don’t feel like he should be in any kind of management role. I won’t be returning here until I get treated halfway decent.
Fantastic place. Really clean for a junk yard. The staff were extremely friendly. I went in there early in the morning and instead of them being low on energy, they were full of energy and eager to help. Found the part I needed for my car and the price was better than expected. Finding the car you're looking for is easily laid out as well.
I have a Chrysler Aspen that needed a couple of chrome accent pieces. They looked in the computer and told me exactly where the two Aspens were the yard, and gave me a little map. Great prices and efficient service!
This is the most organized and cleanest salvage yard in nw indiana. I got a fender for my jeep Saturday and fortunately it was the exact color I needed after trudging through mud in 2 other salvage yards. Employees were very nice also. Thank you thank you thank you
I Would have to say that every time that I visit, That it's definitely pleasant. Just relocated to the area so this is the choice hey give as far as u pull it junk yard. I do wish that they had more of a better selection. when it comes to the Obs fords but hey what can I say maybe some day...Just not this day....But in any event paying the $2 to enter & come out empty handed is still a pleasure in itself.
Large assortment of domestic & foreign cars, trucks, & vans with REASONABLE PRICES. Clean yard, easy in-easy out. Check their website for prices & current inventory.
