Awesome experience with this shop!! They had very fair pricing and quickly were able to repair our car so that we could be on our way! Most definitely will choose them again!
If I could give this place zero stars I MOST definitely would! I brought my car in LAST MONTH they told me I had to wait 2days for a part services were $200 and to bring it back Monday. On Monday I had my grandmother take it in because I had work I gave her my card then when I checked my statements they had charged me 288.79. I didn’t even complain I understand prices can vary! But here we are a month later having the same issue! I called them to tell them what I was experiencing which resulted in them calling the police on me. After he told me bring the car back in. He had the car for 5 minutes and called telling me it 500+ for the services he recommended when I said I was about to come pick it up he then said “ok $95 for diagnosing the vehicle” when I asked to see the diagnosis he said “pay $75 and just leave????”
I refused both offers and he told me he’d call the police if I refused to pay and I sat down and I told him to call them then he said to “just pay $55.”
After going back and forth 30 min. My dad convinced me to pay the $55 but when I tried to pay the $55 he spiked it back to $95 because I was “yelling at him” (mind you we were yelling at each other) I told him I’m trying to explain myself and get some understanding. He said I was “trying to tell him how to run his shop”
I still refused to pay $95, and told him to call the police. He went and got his workers from the back they all came in. One of them eventually called the police. As he was on the phone with police the owner went back down to $55 while he was on the phone. I paid the $55 then STILL stayed.
When the officer arrived they all went back in the shop leaving me to talk to Officer Ruiz who told me this happens at this shop all the time.
So, I’m warning you all because I wish someone would have warned me!
I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received from this shop. We brought in a company vehicle to have the alternator replaced, and just 15 days later, we began experiencing additional issues due to improper grounding of the wiring—something that should have been handled correctly the first time.
When we returned to have the problem assessed, Miguel informed us there would be a $400 diagnostic fee, even though the issue stemmed from the original repair. No additional work was performed, yet we were still assessed a charge.
This experience has been frustrating and costly, and unfortunately, the vehicle remains unfixed. I cannot recommend this business based on our experience. Proceed with caution. I only gave it 1 review because it was mandatory in order to submit this review!

i went to this place 3 times paid over a thousand dollars and he still act like he couldn't find the problem just telling me anything to get my money its a scam do not shop there
Miguel is the best! I come to the shop often with plenty of cars and every time he helps out as much as he can. Quick and very solid work. Great on prices and will try to get you back on the road ASAP. Love this shop so much! Thank you🫶🏽
Great Mechanics!! Been going here for any issues that occurred on any of my cars and always does a great job. Work has always been accurate and i would definitely recommend this place. It feels good to go to a great mechanic shop and not worry about the work that's being done on your car.
Miguel has to be one of the most honest mechanics I've encountered in the years I've been going to shops. They do great work and they have quick service.
Destroyed my vehicle after I asked for a solenoid replacement on my last vehicle, charge me 800 for the job that lasted me 2 days the most, never refunded even anything although they singlehandedly destroyed it, I definitely should have sued them. If you were thinking if you should bring it in here, heres a wake up call, don’t. Even if it’s the Last option for a while, wait it out. Don’t relive my mistake. Wish I can give a 0/5 stars, garbage place.
I took my truck in October 2021 for a transmission repair. They charged me $1,400 and they only gave me a 3 month warranty and after picking it up it was fine but after a month the transmission stopped working again.I took it back and then they have the audacity to tell me it has no warranty on it when they said it had a 3 month warranty. They told me I had to get a new transmission that would cost me $2,200 in order for it to be fixed and from how needy I was for transportation I accepted and they took almost 2 months to fix the transmission and I was left with no car I have two kids that have appointments and I had to reschedule everything for my kids just to wait on my car to get fixed. Turns out I call them after a month and told them i Need to pick it up and they told me they returned the transmission and that it wasn’t fixed after all this time. Now I have to pay $650 for labor that they never did and storage fees for a car that does not work. PLEASE do not come here. The owner is very disrespectful and very aggressive. when all I wanted to do is make a deal with him and get my truck back and he refused to give it back to me.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
I wouldn't go back there. Opened an hr later than they told me they would but I had left after waiting half an hr.
Quoted me $65 dollars more than a place dowm the street from them & needed to keep it for a day. The other place had my alternator changed in 2 hrs.
Best spot in all of East Chicago the mechanics are nice and friendly and answer all your questions they do great work and is reasonable priced for the work that they do ..the owner Miguel and his wife are great and understanding don't see myself going to any other mechanic other than this place I been only coming here for the last 4 years and now my whole family comes here

I swear by this shop. I wouldn't trust my car to anybody else. Honest, efficient, and most of all trust worthy. On my Mother and my brother this is the the best Mechanic on the east side period.....

Went there to get my brakes and rotors replace. After getting them replaced my car started squeaking when I braked. I asked them to fix it but all they wanted to do was keep replacing the brakes and rotors which obviously weren't the problem if you've replaced them numerous times and the problem still persist. The owner actually bs me the second time I went in to try to resolve the problem. He told me that I had a cracked rotor and that was the problem. The issue here is that when I had my brakes and rotors installed by them I asked them to check all the rotors then and if any needed to be replace due so. If my rotor was cracked or needed replacement it would have gotten done at that time. Nevertheless, I paid for the repair hoping it would solve the issue and it didnt. The final time I tried to resolve the problem, the owner became very disrespectful telling at me over the phone trying to blame me for the defect claiming he has been doing this every day for over 20 years and he has never had this problem so it must be the way I drive. He insisted that I'm driving fast and them slamming on my brakes to stop. That is completely idiotic and false.
After that he rudely hung up on me. I wash my hands with this shop and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are better quality shops around for cheaper prices.
They also charge you a $45 a day storage fee. They don't store your car at all anywhere. They park it outside on the street which is public property owned by the city so how the heck do they have the nerve to charge a storage fee? The only thing being stored are you keys.
I Do not Reccomend this Place it says it Passes Emissions I took my Car to Get Repaired and it Still Did not Pass Emissions The Guys here Charge You to Take it to Pass Emissions also when Pepes Tries to Fix the Problem and Takes it to Emissions for Free I will not Be Bringing my Cars Here again They Overcharge Just to not Get the Job Done
Miguel is a perfectionist, also reasonable with prices and has the best service you need. You will not regret bringing your vehicle here.
The shop is very clean, and organized for the work needed. Toemy and Mona will run the office, they will treat you with respect and tend to your vehicle needs.
I highly recommend this shop. I've had 3 of my vehicles serviced here. They're also great with my Benz.
By far the best auto repair in northwest Indiana. Miguel and his staff are knowledgeable, talented, HONEST, and fair. They get the job done CORRECTLY and quickly. It cannot be done better.
