I was a Florida resident moved here back home to Chicago. I purchased a battery which is a diehard gold battery as I needed. Unfortunately, the elements here in East Chicago, Indiana/Chicago are very cold. My cranking amps were below the expected expectation however, this amazing team took care of me. Installed my battery and made sure that everything was good! Thank you to the amazing team here. I really appreciate what you’ve done.

Every time I’ve come to pickup parts I always seem to get a new employee or one that’s in a bad mood already. The last time I came in will be the last time I set foot in any Advance Auto… I came to return a CV Axle for lifetime warranty, it was part number 3 since the CV boots keep coming apart causing premature failure, they wouldn’t warranty the part. They admitted the last warranty replacement the cashier made a mistake and put it as a return, they claimed I must’ve gotten credited which I didn’t, I received my replacement and they took my original receipt so I no longer have a proof of purchase. The employee admitted it was their mistake by the last cashier and they show in their system that an exchange was made but can’t warranty me… so what’s the point in Lifetime Warranty if you’re going to deny it when your parts are defective? I’m out $120 for an overpriced CV Axle that I believed was going to be better quality due its price and warranty but instead I paid 2.5x the price for a part that could’ve been purchased online for cheaper. Since they won’t stand by their products I’ll just take my business to AutoZone, O’reilly, NAPA and RockAuto… literally anywhere else but Advance Auto Parts.

They never had a correct parts or tools When you go in there everybody Just stare at you when They should be helping you the guy with the glasses on he just sell you anything incorrect parts Find you another Store or go to Auto Zone

Horrible Customer service! First didn't get greeted when I walked in. So went and got wht I needed walked up to register. Cashier didn't even speak. Her tshirt said Molly she caught an attitude cause of a coupon. And wht really did it SHE Was so WORRIED ABOUT SCARFING DOWN HER SANDWICH EVERY LIL SECOND. She might as well of started liking her fingers gross!🤢🤢I WAS GOING TO HOLLER some one give this girl a break. Her whole metelllity was so unprofessional. Must know some at this store cause her behavior sucked ! Will never go bck here . Hope Corporate sees this as well .

Nice place to buy good quality auto parts. Manny a good salesperson. The part I ordered came little late but I am happy with price. They need to stop putting phone customer on hold longer times.

I have to thank the staff at this location for showing amazing customer care and also for showing incredible empathy for our family, while unexpectedly changing an alternator. They helped us with everything we needed to get the job done while on our way to Miday airport. They went far beyond customer care! Thank you Crystal. Vin. And Nickolas!

Erica was very rude to me at the East Chicago store someone was supposed to bring my items out for curbside service because I'm disabled and when I called in she wasn't very nice as I was trying to explain to her and she put me on hold and left me on there so I had to assembly wheelchair and go in but once I got in I explained to her and she got smart with me when I got in there but Johnathan was a great help made my experience a lot better he should receive employee of the month GREAT JOB JOHNATHAN!

Well not very organize !!! You stand in line and people walk in and get serve. Then you move to open register and they talk on phone while you wait!!!! Then you pay and they don't even put your purchases in a bag!!!!!! I need not say more !!!! Will not go back to that store !

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in today to utilize their UPS drop off a Hispanic male worker with black glasses and bald spot (wasn’t wearing a name tag) refused to help me because “it was above his pay grade” to check in my package. He screamed across the store TWICE for another worker to help me, no one answered or came. Finally a female worker who happened to notice I was waiting to be helped, helped me. I will never use this location as a UPS drop off or pick up again or for auto parts. WORSE customer service ever!

This was the only store in a wide region it carried a very specific part that I needed. When I got the part home and tried to have it installed on my car it turned out to be the wrong model. I called the store manager and mentioned that the part they had given me did not fit my car. He told me it was against to store policy but he would refund my money. I went back and without fail he refunded my money. Great customer service like this makes you want to come back.

We broke down on our way home from Chicago this passed weekend. Crystal and Vince helped us with parts and tools to get us back on the road and home safe to michigan. Great customer service these two provided. Made a very stressful situation into an easy experience with 2 great employees. Thank you!

This is one of my best plays myself as a mechanic I'm always depending of a good parts I cannot afford to just go ahead and put a replace or put any parts that I know it's not going to be in a great shape or a good part with Advance Auto Parts would provide that service for me of course he does that's why I'm there all the time

Helpful and attentive service. Oil and filter are always on discount. Only $36 to replace the fully Mobile synthetic oil and filter to my car.

Today I had an emergency and Advance Auto did nothing to help rectify the situation. I placed an online order for my son, he needed an alternator at that moment, his car was being worked on the moment when I placed the order. He went to the East Chicago, Indiana location to pick it up. He gets there and the manager Claudia would not allow him to pick up the order. She told him he needed my Id and the credit card used for the order. I was at work during all of this so there is no way for me to be there. I called the store and explained the situation she did nothing I offered to fax over my info to show the order was authorized by me she said they didnt have a fax machine. So after going back and forth I finally had her cancel the order. So my son left with no part and his car still not working. I have never been so mad. What is even move crazy the night before I ordered a battery at a different location and my son picked it with no problem. Clearly this company needs to update their policies to better help customers. I just know after this experience I will never buy from Advance Auto again
