My mom's truck was in there 6 months 1 time she got it out.Drove it one month and then it went back in there for almost a year now my mom's done past away. I feel like he's holding her truck hostage.
Took my Equinox in with a problem Hales wouldnt repair but instead wanted $2000 to replace a part. Rick was awesome to deal with. He fixed the problem in one morning for a couple hundred bucks. Needless to say I am extremely grateful!
I had my wife’s 2018 Cadillac XTS transmission repaired by the recommendation of nephew. The car was there for 1 month June 21 to July 23 getting repairs. $1000 down $2,296 on completion. The cost was over $3,200. A warranty was given. Later a shifting problem was with the transmission that Grisham said would take approximately 4 hours to repair. It is now October 1, 2024. The warranty don’t show credibility since all other his customers have shown priority. Completing the paid repair on my transmission don’t hold priority with him because he’s been paid.. We are now pending going into the 3rd month of an incomplete repair of my transmission.He finally started the warranty work that he claims was to take 4 hours. Wife was concerned he would keep the car as did in the past. He finally scheduled to began Monday the 7th. At that time he began the 4 hour repair October 7th. During repair he broke a part on fuse block he needed to order. Part was delayed and reordered. Part arrived October 15th. He informed my wife he would finish car sometime during the week. The 4 hours is going on 2 weeks. Grisham is not a man of his word. He is a crook that claims to be honest. He will not get a recommendation from me and you would be wise avoid this man.
Few years ago I took my 2000 Honda accord v6 with the b7xa automatic transmission to have it rebuilt. Took it in and it was apparent that it was going out. Slipping and hard shifts. Got a call a few days later wanting I think $800 or $900 to start the job and buy the rebuild kit. Car was there for over 2 months. Picked it up and was still the same as it was before. Final bill including the 8 or 900 to start the job was $1950. Only thing that was changed was the exterior shift solenoids. Fluid was still burnt with metallic particles in it. So please definitely get a second opinion or have a reputable shop replace your transmission entirely. Definitely don’t recommend this shop
This guy is a crook, he will take your money and stop responding once you try to ask why he hasn’t finished a transmission that he was given 1 1/2 years ago.
BUYER BEWARE - I purchase built Muncie transmission from Rick, paid him $1,550. He did not send me the part and he is ignoring / avoiding my calls and messages.

I had my first encounter with this establishment last winter. My heater core went out, Rick undercut or matched the repair cost. His pricing is fair, he goes out of his way to ensure affordability.
Rick is only person I come across who stand behind his warranty. He rebuild transmission of Lexus RX 300 more than five years ago & it work like charm until it was totaled.
Since then my all other vehicle including food truck don't know any other mechanic even though I have to wait for slot. He finish on time & cheapest by far than any other in this trade.
I will highly recommend him with ten out ten star.
These guys helped me out in a bind 3 hours from home. Very friends down to earth people that know what they are doing. These guys are top notch 10/10! If you need something fixed go to Grishams
Great guy . Truck broke down in july I'm from Georgia and was heading to Oregon on vacation. Had to buy new truck while there cause transmission went out . Long story short he repaired my old truck and it broke down again when I went back to get it .he repaired it again at no cost to me plus fixed a few other problems as well .Cant find that kind of service just anywhere . Highly recommend him .
Had my truck for a total of 3 months for the same reason and still can't find out what it is. He's the one who has done the work on it starting to get frustrating
Rick is very knowledgeable at what he does and goes above and beyond to make the work that is being done fully understood by the customer. I definitely recommend him for all of your automotive needs.
Rick has a passion for classic cars. Our 65 Impala Convertible now runs like a top and looks great under the hood. Sandblasting of the valve covers was a nice bonus he added.
