Very fast, and very efficient. I spoke with Katie Feazel in regard to our can situation, and weather difficulties we were having here at Bandanas. She was here within the 30 minutes, and took care of the problem immediately. It’s this type of service that results to reviews like this! Kudos to Katie for doing an awesome job, and kudos to Republic for great service 👏

Republic has treated my business very fairly and when I have a problem, I have always been able to get it taken care of as quickly as possible by reaching out to Katie. Bottom line is to treat everyone with respect and they will try to do everything within their power to do the same!

There's nothing positive except for the fact they pick up your stuff most of the time. My mother is moving and they are forcing her to pay 2 months at a location that will not receive any pick up/have any RT items there. Their phone number almost never gets answered. Get ready for 30minute+ wait times easily. Best advise? RUN. Dont get this service.

We have missed several times. As we are a restaurant, if the garbage is not cleared, there will be a lot of flies when the weather is hot. Besides, our pick-up day is Thursday. When they miss it, they have to wait for several more days. We hope their company can follow up and investigate the handling of this matter.

I have worked with Katie for the last couple weeks on getting some things changed to save the company I work for some savings. Katie worked with me and for me to get the best rate. Come out with a savings of $500 plus when she was finished. Very polite and patient with my question and concerns.

Company has raised rates twice in the last year without notification and service cost is excessive. They have not returned phone calls to cancel service and don’t allow you to cancel online.

Avoid them at all costs. Pick literally anyone else. We're currently on hold for over an hour as I type this and that's after pressing 1 to be called back when my place in line came up 20 minutes after the first call. This company is facing class action lawsuits for regularly increasing rates after certain amounts of time as a customer. As an example, I just found out I'm paying more than double my neighbor for the same service. My fuel surcharges and other fees are higher despite living in the same neighborhood less than a mile from where their trucks dispatch. Unfortunately they'll still be using that same fuel to now drive past my house multiple times per week without picking up our trash as we found a local company for even less than my neighbor pays.

Called before my payment was due in January to cancel service because I found a cheaper rate with a different company and was told that I could get a similar rate to the other company starting for that month but had to pay the amount currently on my invoice because it was already sent out and I would get the excess as a credit for my next bill with the agreed upon rate but upon receiving my bill yesterday was still being charged the higher amount not the agreed upon amount and had to call back to get the agreed upon amount set up again and was told that I was not going to get the credit that I was supposed to. Shannon in customer service and Jessica in sales were both very friendly. but Leslie the woman that I talked to in January needs more training or to be reprimanded if she lied and knew what she was doing because she gave false information or it's possible that Jessica just doesn't know how to apply the credit. either way call other companies to get better rates and if you find much better one call to cancel Republic services they will most likely give you a better rate. just don't believe that it will apply for the current payment period and that you'll get a credit on your next bill equal to the difference if you still have to pay the original invoice amount

They constantly refuse to pick up my trash. I've had to call and complain 5 times in the last 3 months, and it just happened again today. They continuously tell me I don't have thwir service and I explain to them it's lumped in with my water bill theough the small town I live in. EDIT: Here we are in 2025... The same problem continues to happen. I sent an email to the address that was provided when this review was first made. They replied, asking me if my trash had been picked up after I had already stated that was the problem. Two days later, my trashcan is still full and waiting to be picked up. 😡 Seriously, people... If you have a choice, DO NOT use Republic. This is ridiculous. I have to pay for a weekly service that they just pick and choose when to provide it.

Cancelled my account with Republic services before my next billing cycle, the Rep. Shut off the account and scheduled trash receptacle pick up for the same week so I would not be billed for another cycle. Everything all set. Get an auto call two weeks later saying my bill in overdue, I call and talk to a representative who says I owe 30 dollars for the pick up. I was surprised as the first representative didn’t say anything about a pickup fee, I asked when I could expect that bill and was told it would probably show up the next payment cycle in December. Ok fine it’s an irritating situation but whatever. I had the representative turn the auto calls off and told him I would pay when I got the bill. I received the bill and was blindsided by a 93 dollar bill. I was given the payment due date of 11/4/24. First I had to two bins, thirty times two is sixty not ninety three. Second since I called Republic I have had multiple calls saying my bill is over due. No it isn’t it’s due in November according to their email at this point this is harassment. Do yourself a favorite and avoid Republic Services like the plague. Terrible service, overpriced, greedy corporation.

I called & sent message in July telling you I did not want your service,and you have not picked up anything cause the trash can is upside down in the ditch. Pick it up I don't want your High Dollar service,and I wont be paying for it. If it's not removed I will have it hauled off. Final Notice!!!

Paid Republic on the 3rd of September and here we are on the 19th and NO service whatsoever. NO trash can, NO pick up NOTHING. But they took MY money on the 3rd. Something is going on on the Marion Illinois office and it needs to be investigated. Such bad business to the ppl who literally pay their paycheckds.

I called Republic Service to see if they could offer me dumpster service to a residential area that was previously under contract with another company. This area has a narrow drive between rental properties, and requires a front load truck. We had so much trouble with our previous company not picking up, that I needed to switch quickly. Blake Fox came out for a survey of the area and determined they could service is just fine. He made sure the drop location was exactly where I wanted it so I didn't have to be on site for delivery. He worked with me quickly and efficiently to make sure I had dumpsters placed the next day! I opted for 4 yard dumpsters instead of the 2 yards I was previously using, and I’m paying the same price as I was paying the other company, while getting double the space with Republic! I highly recommend Republic for their quick response time, and great customer service!

We have used Republic Services for years, Get our dumpster emptied the very next day most of the time. We keep them hopping and they never disappoint. Allen and Blake take very good care of us.

So I forgot to pay my trash bill, and they came and picked up my trash can. I called and they said it would be $136 and they’ll bring me another trash can next pickup day so I paid it. It has been two days since they was supposed to bring it and they haven’t. I called again today and they said I’m gonna have to pay $107 on top of the $136 I already paid. Absolutely ridiculous. This company sucks

Placed our dumpster next to our business but now refuse to access it to empty. Stuck with an overflowing dumpster!! Update: 4 weeks after placing the dumpster and 3x a week calling, getting multiple ticket numbers only to be told they would escalate my case, then get transferred to a senior agent, only to be told I would get a call back or visit from the local management team to assess the situation, no one ever followed through. Finally today I was told they spike to the General Manager and would be picking up my dumpster (Republic cancelled my service) today. Be aware some of the 5 star reviews are from employees.

Our service is in the Southern IL area. Customer service is terrible!. I cancelled our services per the terms of our contract. A month after our contract ended I still have a dumpster at our business. I have now spoken with FIFTEEN different people. Each one saying that someone will "call me right back" or that they will "expedite my request." Neither has happened. I can't get ahold of my actual sales rep Sabrina. Oh, and each time I call I get a new case number that nobody references with future calls. Nobody, residential or business, should have to go thru all this just to cancel trash service.

I used this business since 2015. The bill started at $66 every 3 months and at 2023 my bill increased to $178 every 3 months. Here are my many complaints about this business. I was told they don’t charge for recycling but they do. Always go calls saying due to unforeseen circumstances my trash would be picked up late. If the weather forecast was bad they would skip the week even tho we never got the snow that was “supposed” to get. Anytime you try and get ahold of anyone to ask why every bill had increased they would put you on hold til you finally give up and hang up. I finally got thru to cancel my services and now they are trying to charge me $125!!!! Just to pick up 2 trash cans. When I called to cancel my service the lady said she thought I was paying for 3 trash cans. I probably was paying more than I should have been charged!!! I called a local business in my town who only charges a third of what these corporate greedy people are charging.

Bought a rental property and was told the city didn't service with waste collection. I called Republic and set up the service. Turns out tye city does service my building so I called to cancel Republic and set it for 2 weeks ago. I was told by the rep that it would be cx and they'd come get the containers the next scheduled collection day. I just received a bill that they want me to pay and guess why? My service was never stopped. They told me to go ahead and pay it and they'll get this taken care of, no thanks. Why do I have to micromanage a multi-million dollar company? Update 2 months later: I am STILL getting bills and "missed payment" letters. This is becoming quite annoying now.

Almost every week, someone calls and tells us that due to unforeseen circumstances, our trash pickup was not completed for Wednesday. But would be the next day. It generally is the next day. This last week, over the holiday, they did not service our entire street—Fox Hunter Road in Benton Il. They came today, our regular pickup day. I think we deserve and I want a refund for last week. Leslie Heath 10767 Fox Hunter Road. Benton, Il. 62812. I spent 10 minutes yesterday morning waiting to speak to someone on the phone and 15 minutes today. Not waiting any more. They just don’t pick up. Poor way to run your business

They never brought us our garbage bins. Tried calling back and was told they were putting in a work order and we'd have them soon but we never did get them. Cancelled their service without so much as one trash collection or even a trash bin and we were still charged for that month of service. Their customer service takes upwards of 45 minutes on hold to speak to anyone so we just ended up paying them for absolutely nothing.

They just don't pick up our trash. It's sitting right there on the edge of the street and they just don't even come down our street. We are the only house on our side of the street that uses them, and the people across the street put theirs in the alley, so I guess they just feel they don't have to pick ours up. When you call to report a missed pickup they say they will send someone and then don't until you send messages repeatedly. I finally did get them to give us a 1 week bill credit after I threatened to bring my trash to their local office and dump it on the front lawn. Our city is looking into other trash services. Way too many problems lately.

I have to call once a month it seems for missed trash pick up. The truck gathers my neighbors trash, drives past my house and continuously skips our drive. My bins are at the end of the drive in the exact location they are supposed to be for easy pick up for the driver. Once I have a missed pick up I immediately call Republic services to report the issue. They ensure me it will be picked up the same day then it is not. The next day I call and I get the same story. The last time it took me calling consistently for five days in a row two times a day before my trash was actually picked up and that was just two weeks ago and this week once again it was not picked up. At this point I don’t know if the driver is on a power trip or what the issue is but this is not acceptable. I have a family of eight and have a lot of trash so I am having to load my trash in my Vehicle and pay additional moneys to drop off my trash that I’m already paying for. I am highly dissatisfied with the company and services they are failing to provide.

I have been a customer since February, and here it is in mid-July and I’ve had to call for a missed recycling pickup every time (but they got it right ONE time after I spoke to the local manager!). This time they not only missed the scheduled pickup, but they also missed the rescheduled one and the requested call from a manager didn’t happen. While it’s easy to blame the driver’s ineptitude, this is clearly a management problem. Republic Services social media person: Don’t bother replying to this and asking me to make another contact referencing this review. Just fix your damn problem that so many other people are reporting. I had gotten a little bit behind on my bill service was interrupted for 2 weeks I paid what they asked me to pay 2 weeks ago. Service was supposed to be picked up that following Friday. That was 2 weeks ago I have yet to get my service picked up trash is overflowing. I have tried calling them all week long 1st I was told they weren't getting out Tuesday because of the weather and then it turned into the week now when I call the phone is just busy. I pay $80 a month for trash removal twice a month and at the moment my trash is 4' over the top of the huge dumpster overflowing into the driveway to where the animals continuously get into it. if they think I am paying them another penny before they come and pick it up they are sadly mistaken

In the last month they have failed to pickup more than they've actually picked up our trash. Here we are again with another missed pickup but it's okay because they called and said they would pick it up next week on our regular day, wrong what are we supposed to do with another week of garbage with no where to put it? I get that we had inclement weather but it didn't move in until the afternoon they could have picked up Wednesday morning. With as much as we all pay they could at least do their job on time. I'm usually an understanding person but this is getting ridiculous. I'm tired of the excuses and customer service never does anything. The Marion Illinois office needs to be looked into.

Our trash was not picked up on our regular day (Wednesday) so I filed a missed pickup. I received confirmation that my request had been received and pickup would be within 48 hours. It is now Monday and still no pickup. Call customer service and I was told the missed pickup was canceled because the driver noted that the trash container was not out at the street. This is completely false when I was the one who took the container to the street the night before. Very unprofessional and dishonest.

Had them as our service provider for 15+ years. The charges every 90 days kept going up till finally it was over $300 per quarter. I cancelled service to someone who charges under $90 per quarter. Now Republic keeps adding on more fees including late fees and not responding to written letters asking them to stop, reverse fees and and close the account. They ignored that and threaten collections and legal action on $20. DON"T USE THEM I am turning them into better business bureau, and will post disputes with the credit agencies besides reporting this unprofessional behavior here.
