I had a great experience with this dealership and how it was ran. Bill was super helpful and made everything easy to understand. The service was top-notch, and I felt like they really cared about getting me the right car. I'd tell anyone to go there if they want good service and a friendly person to help them out.
Probably the worst shop ive ever been to. I had an audi a4 that needed some simple diagnosis for smoking out the exhaust and hesitation issues. I highly doubt this dude even looked at my car because all he told me was it was all in the CVT. As far as i know a fuel trim code and HPFP codes are not transmission related lol. I then went again (silly me) for a new starter a few months later. It took this dude THREE WEEKS to even look at my car and i had called numerous times and had just been put off every single time… eventually i had gone to look at my car just to find it sitting on the top of this hill covered in salt and bird poop which is exactly what i wanted from a nice shop experience. Next day i called a tow truck to get my car picked up and moved to a different shop and the owner bill has the personality of a cactus so he gives me this very short “it would have been done today” and that was all. This dude does not like to talk to people at all and told me it would’ve been done the next day after i sent it in so i kinda lost his trust in the whole finish up thing. After i had taken it to a different shop and had it professionally diagnosed and repaired it turns out it needed a few grand put into my Audi. Would've been nice if i got the right diagnosis the first time. This guy is sketchy and has absolutely no personality whatsoever. Id highly recommend finding another shop to work on your Audi or VW but he doesn’t work on those VWs anyways because “they're not the same”.
I can’t say enough good things about the team at Custom Auto Repair! My son is at UW-Platteville with our Q7 and when it developed the PCV screech this crew knew exactly what to do. Their fix was fast, reasonable and they even picked my son up to get the car. We have 2 other Audi’s and will be taking all of them to Custom in the future! Thanks guys for taking great care of us!

Great guy to work with and buy an Audi from. I took our Q5 back for some break work a year after buying it and he noticed it was overdue for an oil change so he threw one in for free.

Bought an Audi Q5 from them and have loved it! They do a really nice job and make sure you’re satisfied. Have had some minor things with my car but they have been great at getting me in and always getting to the bottom of the issue. When I leave I know my car has been fixed the right way.

Stopped here with an unexpected issue, on a long road trip, with a 2 yr old. No appointment and no time to wait. The owner took care of us immediately and helped get us back on the road asap. And wouldn't accept payment for his trouble, saying it was no big deal. His kindness, friendly nature, and help was a big deal to us though. Unreliable. Mechanic was unable to diagnose a simple distributor issue. Took my vehicle to another shop and they fixed it without drama. Left my car at CARS for a week to have a new exhaust put in, and the owner forgot to do it. Showed up to pick up my car as agreed and the owner wasn’t there during operating hours, so the business was closed and I was stranded. Weak apology two days later didn’t cut it. Nice body work on a paint job but I will never go back. Beware.
Great service! He has been servicing my whole family's cars for 4 years. He's honest and knows how to work on Audi's. Goes above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of!
Had my Audi 2001 worked on here several times. They were able to keep it going everytime an issue arose and bring life back into it. My family and I expect quality service, and they deliver on that. This is the only place I trust my vehicle to be serviced, and when the time comes to take it to the shop, I'll be bringing it here.
I have had several of my vehicles repaired here over the years and I have never experienced a single issue. Amazing place and the people are very friendly and easy to work with.
Everything seems great until you find massive issues with the "repairs" on the vehicle that they JUST worked on. Deny deny deny. They do not stand behind their work or the cars they sell. Instead of working with the customer, they blame the customer. You might somehow get lucky and get something that they didn't completely cobble together to make a quick flip, but I'd choose anywhere other than here when buying a car. Buyer beware.
Places like this is the reason used car lots and mechanics leave a foul taste in many
peoples mouth. They will sell preowned cars with substandard (and incomplete) work. When notified they throw it back on the customer instead of offering to resolve the issue. It's not just a shady practice but can also be an extremely dangerous one. I would not place my children, family or friends in one of their vehicles. The money is more important then the saftey of their customes. What a shame.
I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy let alone friends and family. Their mechanics shotty work could have gotten someone seriously hurt if not worse. They refuse or take any responsibility. You have been warned.
Horrible service and poorly repaired! He sold me a car on 6/11/21 put a used head on it told me how confident he was in the repair when it turn out his mechanic can’t even check if all the bolts on the head they claimed they didn’t touch! Pulled the valve cover off after a massive oil. Sent him videos ans pictures of the leak was called a liar. I have been an Audi tech for 5 years and worked on Vw for 7.. he’s very poor when I asked if juts to cover my parts so I can fix the car. He then decided to block me on Facebook. Do not buy or take your car in for service!
Bought an Audi from them a year ago in 10 days and haven’t had a single problem with it I would highly recommend going here and their very reasonable on their prices they will negotiate and give u the best deal they can good people too go check em out !
Bill and his team know cars. I am not a car person myself but I trust Bill and his team to work on all my cars. I have bought cars from Bill and he has always been fair and gave me the best deal he could. And I trust him with everything from oil changes to major repairs. I tell everyone I know to go there. Never had a bad experience with Custom Auto.
Justin always does a great job fixing my car. He is consistently able to make the necessary repairs at a fraction of the cost. Yes, as others have stated, sometimes used parts are utilized. However, they do use new ones when used ones won't do the job. For example, a local dealership explicitly told me to not have the dealership fix it as the part alone would run me $400, as their policy requires new parts. They told me to have someone else do it, someone with more flexibility to use cheaper parts. At CARS, I got exactly what was needed for a third what the dealership quoted me.

My experience with this business owner was horrible. Wish I had never taken my car there. If I could give zero or negative stars, I would.....unfortunately I have to put one star to be able to post my review. Doesn't even deserve one star!
I've taken my car here multiple times and have not been very impressed by the service or friendliness of the workers. I've been mocked a lot for fixing things on my own and they have never been very helpful in fixing my car themselves. I have an Audi Quattro which they say they live and breathe but they couldn't seem to figure out some problems I was having and told me different answers at different visits. I was very excited to find someone to fix my car but they have tried to take advantage of me many times. I do not recommend this shop.
