They had fixed 2 wheel bearings of mine a few weeks ago, turns out one of the new ones was a bad part. When I called they got me in as soon as they could and changed it under warranty! Very friendly people and great service
Obie's was so kind to our daughter and us when her car quit in Dubuque. They towed her right away and worked with us, getting her car back up and running. They communicated with us 100% all the way through this process from first call to end. We are an hour away, and it was so relieving to know someone cared.
My boyfriend and I were traveling to Dubuque/Galena and our muffler came off the car. Called in the day before and they were sweet enough to fit us in! the repair was fairly priced and they were so understanding of the pinch we were in. So different than the mechanics back home in chicago, i wish i lived by this place to come here all the time for my cars repairs. Tyler fixed our Chevy and it’s running beautifully!! I saw a review on here that said there’s “rabid animals” or something, absolutely not there’s a sweet cat named Princess!! This place is quick, honest, and clean. i 100% recommend!!
Really disappointed with their service. My alternator quit working, had it towed into the shop. They installed the new alternator incorrectly as well as messing up how the gear-shifting functioned. I know this as I videotaped how the engine was running with the new alternator, shared it with auto experts from Chicago who diagnosed that it was installed incorrectly and should not be driven, and that wires appeared to have been pulled out on the engine. Obie’s Charged me for the tow back to the shop even though the car was undrivable. Re-charged me for the work to pull the alternator out again and install it correctly. The owner - after two weeks of trying to call him - finally called me back. He took no responsibility for charging me twice and for the second tow, or for the car’s odd performance with the gear-shifting after I picked it up. He said he fixed it correctly although he admitted he had never even looked at my car. He would not adjust the bill for the towing cost or the cost to pull out the alternator for the second time to fix it correctly. I do not recommend this company and will be sharing my review broadly with my network.

I was recommended here and regret ever trusting these untrained people with my car. The first time I got an oil change & they started my car on fire! Then they tried to redeem the poor service by offering me a free oil change. The next time I go in they’re late & I almost left which now I wish I had. I had them do the free oil change & have them check out a noise coming from the front engine area, not to alarming of a noise but just wanted them to check on it since I was about to go in a long road trip. Later in the day they call me to come pick my car up & said they couldn’t figure out what the noise was.. I pick up the car & they charged me $180 even though they did not diagnose the problem!!
There facility is filthy & have aggressive animals on the property. They’re also the owners of a strip club & slummy landlords in the Dubuque area, these people have zero morals & will rip you off!
I wouldn’t recommend anyone stepping foot into this place, save your money by going somewhere else!!
It’s very refreshing to meet great people. I pulled in with a tire issue and left feeling like there is still hope that down to earth, incredible people are out there. Thanks y’all for being so kind!
Our Uhaul truck broke down and they were able to get the part overnight and get it up and running the next day because they understood the urgency. They communicated effectively. Couldn't be happier with the above and beyond service Tyler provided.
