TVM in Caldwell is the furthest recycler from where I live but it's the only place in the entire Treasure Valley that I will take my scrap metal. If you are taking your metal anywhere else, I guarantee you are getting ripped off. TVM makes it well worth my while to make the drive across the valley. These guys are honest as it gets and I mean they don't know what it's like to be sheisty. Pacific Steel and United act like people are stupid and then really insult you by offering about one forth of what your material is worth. United doesn't even know what extruded aluminum is.
I've been a machinist for 35 years. I know my metals. I also scrapped 20,000 lbs. a week for two years straight (no bullshit). I have scrapped aluminum and copper all my life and I'm telling you, TVM in Caldwell is the only respectable recycler in the valley.
They had a mix up with my load and I sat thru lunch.. that is until the fellas in the front caboose lol offered to buy lunch due to the mix up. It was greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas for the great hospitality. Awesome gesture!
Stopped by and dropped off cardboard. The guy on the phone was really nice and was cheery in person; jumped in to help me move the cardboard with a smile. I think they have weekend hours now too, so that other review is mute.
