Went in to get my AC fixed and got charged $700 to be recharged which is absurd when my brother got quoted ($200), 2 weeks later ac goes bad again and then got quoted another $900 to fix the repair but they couldn’t at least give me a better deal to fix because they claim they couldn’t find the issue the first time. I told them my frustrations because i paid $700 for basically no reason and they told me “at least I paid for the information needed to get my truck fixed”. Overall they’re not good or trust worthy and will take advantage to Rob you your money because I had to come back twice for the same issue within the same month with just more money added.
Don’t go here, these guys will steal your money. They guess at what the problem is and don’t stand behind their work and on top they are rude when I I called to resolve the issue the guy on the phone hung up.
Helped me a lot with my truck it was very expensive to repair before the holidays but they worked with me and took good care of my vehicle definitely will recommend and I appreciate them for coming through to do a great job

I recently took my mom's car to Gallegos Auto Repair and Towing for an oil pressure light issue, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Carlos was fantastic to deal with—professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem, and the car is running smoothly now. I highly recommend Gallegos Auto Repair and Towing for their excellent service and expertise!
Don’t go here. These guys are a scam. Took my vehicle there for a simple check engine light. I paid for a diagnosis. These guys told me that I had water mixed with coolant and needed new head gaskets, along with providing me with a whole list things that needed to be done to my vehicle that a second opinion later confirmed didn’t need to be done to my vehicle, at a price tag of approximately $4500. I obtained a second opinion from Meineke and it was confirmed that I didn’t need new gaskets, along with many additional things on their estimate. They attempted to take advantage of me because I’m a 52 year old single woman who knows nothing about vehicles. Thank goodness I obtained that second opinion!
I have used this business in the past and recently discovered that they used other than new parts for my repair. I had a fuel pump replaced in my F250 and when it wasn't working properly (because it was the wrong pump for this truck) that there wasn't a warranty on the part. My new mechanic told me that the only way this would be true was because they used junk yard parts. I had the pump replaced by a different mechanic and the proper pump and the truck runs like it should. I have since heard similar stories from other people about these guys.
I have used Gallegos Auto Repair a couple of times since moving here to The Treasure Valley. Both times I have found their work very satisfying and reliable. True Professionals at their work and not trying to gauge their customers. Both times I used them they pointed out areas of concern, but informed me that it is just something to consider. I am older now so even though I could do some of the work myself, I will continue to use them, just because they are Honest!
I’ve been taking my car here for years and never had a problem. This time I took my car in because it was idling pretty bad. It sat there for about 4 days before they even decided to look at it. When they finally got back to me they told me I needed a list of things that was going to cost me well over 2000. Half of the things they told me needed to be fixed I had already replaced not even 3 months before taking it to them. They also changed their policy about inspection fees and hadn’t bothered to tell me about it before having them check out my car. Which I wouldn’t have minded if they had told me considering I had been taking my car to them for the last 5 years. On top of that they charged me for multiple ridiculous fees like a hazard fee for disposing of hazardous things like oil when they were to not touch my oil considering I had just had it changed before taking it to them. Come to find out after telling my grandmother about this monstrosity, one of their employees stole her change bag out of her car when she took it to them to get it fixed. And it was never handled properly. Awful awful place. Never go here
Misdiagnosed my vehicle. Took it in, they told me my engine was blown and needed to be replaced and quoted me pretty high for the labor and parts.
I do some shopping around and try to get a second opinion, turns out it was only a spark plug and wire that were faulty.
Seems to me like they tried to charge me for a motor replacement but only fix a spark plug and wire.
Went here for a emissions test. The gentleman at the front was very nice and helpful. He came back in and told me I was good to go. Gave me the paper that I passed. Explained to me that it was already sent to the DMV and that I was good to go. After paying for it. I was in my truck thinking about how I am gonna refer people to this buisness. Very professional
I broke down in Oregon across the state line from Nampa. I was towed and refered by Jim's Sinclair ( thank you!) To Gallegos . They were wonderful and got me right in, checked it all over and fixed me up within a couple hours for a very reasonable price. Courteous, friendly, great service and value . Highly recommend them!!
They have always done excellent work on my truck. I dont shop around for better prices,so really can't go there. I have total confidence in them. Important to me
We took our vehicle in for an emissions test. We called first to find out what was required, wait time, etc. The gentleman that answered the phone was kind, professional, and very informative. Once we arrived, they had us in and out quickly and efficiently. Thank you!
Tow truck driver told my wife to drive her wrecked car with a damaged radiator over the ditch they crashed into and after she couldn’t make the first time he said hit it harder. When I called the managers they didn’t even apologize and denied that it happened so I will not use them again!
If I could I would give zero stars. horrible customer service the driver Jorge was incredible rude over the phone, an when he got there he was laughing an being extremely rude about my vehicle saying it looked horrible ,an I like to break my car ,an as he was towing it onto the truck he dragged the back bumper on the road an sat there as he was doing it an you could hear it dragging but he did nothing as I said to stop he did not listen then when he dropped my car off at the shop he just put the keys on the counter an left didnt tell them any information. when I got there they we confused because he had said nothing. HORRIBLE place I would not recommend at all. Will never go threw them again for towing.
I had to get my BMW towed from ontario to boise and the worker i got was Jacob . He did amazing , did not scrape my car at all (BMW's are low) i highly recommend him && the towing !
We had taken our truck to Einsteins for an oil change. Within 2 miles our truck started having issues. We had to change the motor. Tino got it done for us. He has done work on all our vehicles.
He is not the cheapest but he doesn't try to upsell you on extras. He tells you the issues with your vehicles and gives you all the options.
I trust them to fix my daughter's car before a cross country trip.
This company had excellent service when every other tow company had at least a 4hour wait time these guys showed up after working hard all day he shows up after hours with a smile on his face and put my mind at ease I will definitely recommend this company. Shout out to Jace the driver that showed up with a smile to tow my vanborghini after hours
Worst experience ever!! They gave me a great price at first and they took my vehicle. After more than a half hour in the waiting room they say that they given me wrong info on pricing and raise the price with no negotiations just apologies. Waste of my time!!
These guys took care of me on a weekend when no one else would. Professional, quick, organized, and fair prices. I would use these guys again and recommend them to anyone.
They are a rip off.. They charge way to much and do nothing. The diagnostic test are jokes. They are in no hurry to fix your car, but are fast to charge you. My car stayed here a month and not even touched.. Stay away.
Honest and quality work! Tino is top notch Mechanic and great guy! Won't go to anyone else! Guaranteed if you get quotes you will see they are very reasonable AND they will do the job right! Quality for sure. We have had them work on our Chevy Suburban/ Ford Ranger/ and Dodge Ram Diesel
They do quality work, yet AFTER the work was done, (timing belt) I realized I overpaid by a few hundred dollars. My advice: shop around, and be assured these guys know how to work on vehicles.
I had issues with my vehicle and it was pouring down rain and I had my four year old nephew with me. I asked if there was a way for them to take me to a gas station or let me use a phone. I was turned away and had to walk in the rain with my nephew to get us help. Luckily a honest man stopped and gave us a ride. Who does that?

They figured put what the issue was and put the parts in wrong , probably because they were too busy trying to milk more money out of us for issues we didn't ask them to look at , that didn't effect what we went in for.

I would definitely recommend Gallegos Auto Repair to anyone that is having trouble with their vehicle! Before I took my Chevy s10 in to them, it would die coming to a stop and other little problems and when I got it back from them It was working like a grand new champ! Fast and reliable work and any little problems that I thought I had, they said to bring it in and they'll take a look at, and they did! Thank you guys for all the hard work y'all did to my truck to get it like new and make it run like a CHAMP!!
Gave me a price to do some work, I agreed to price, he did the work and came back and said that his price had changed without consulting me first. Bait and switch. Mechanics are crooks anyways but I would suggest taking your car to someone who is up front and honest about their pricing.
