I had a great experience with Proton Tow Service. They were very professional, responsive, and arrived quickly when I needed help. The driver was friendly and handled my vehicle with care. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciate their fast and reliable service and would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs towing assistance.
My car was parked on vistor side, no warning just towed… they supposed to been open at 9am and no answer it’s 10am, I have stuff to do and need my car!! Smh. It’s crazy u can get ur car towed with no warning but can’t even open on time or answer the phone when it says you’re open. Pls one day fee $250 :/
I had the horrible experience of even coming in contact with this company against my will. My car was illegally towed with no notice from my apartment complex , and not only was I met with rude and willfully ignorant staff they damaged the car . I can’t even say don’t ever use them because they are a SCAM company they work with apartment complexes to tow cars that’s how they operate even after staying on the phone with the regional manager and confirming the day before that my vehicle was illegally taken they were still trying to lie and charge me $287 . With impunity they looked me in my face and tried to scam me . Stay far AWAY. I will be speaking to my attorney and filing a police report they will have to fix the damage ! Prontow Towing – 5035 Hwy 42, Ellenwood, GA 30294
I am writing to document an unprofessional and unacceptable experience with Prontow Towing. I arrived at 1000 Hidden Chase Apartment Complex at 12:30 PM, where I was initially provided the wrong tow address. After contacting the company to obtain the correct Ellenwood location, I arrived at approximately 1:30 PM. I was informed my vehicle was not on-site but would arrive in roughly 20 minutes.
When I followed up for an ETA 10 minutes later, I was abruptly told that I had to wait for a supervisor. Once the supervisor arrived, the situation became even more concerning. He informed me that my vehicle was at a different undisclosed location and then directed me to hand over my keys so he could personally drive my car back to the facility.
I suggested following him after paying the tow fee a reasonable and common-sense request. He refused and still would not disclose my vehicle’s location.
This conduct raises serious questions about transparency, accountability, and the proper handling of customer property. No consumer should be denied information about their own vehicle or be asked to surrender keys without clear justification. Based on this experience, I strongly advise others to exercise caution when dealing with Prontow Towing.

I wish I could give this company zero stars. My experience with PronTow was nothing short of a nightmare, and they appear to operate in an extremely predatory manner.
Be warned: this company seems to actively patrol lots in the morning, just looking for vehicles to hook. It feels less like a service and more like a hunt.
If you are unfortunate enough to be towed by them, the nightmare only continues. They demand CASH ONLY for payment, which is a massive red flag in this day and age. It's an incredibly inconvenient and shady practice.
To make matters worse, they will charge you extra fees if you need to retrieve your vehicle outside of their "normal" business hours. They essentially hold your car hostage and gouge you for even more money.
Based on my experience and the countless other 1-star reviews, there is no way to get a fair outcome with this business. They are unprofessional and seem to take zero accountability. Do yourself a favor and document everything if you're forced to deal with them. Take pictures and videos of your car before they touch it and after you get it back.
Avoid this company like the plague. Their business practices are designed to take advantage of people.
My vehicle was illegally towed from where I live. I recently purchased a vehicle and left the pass in dashboard I ask them nicely to bring it back, these people are crooks. Im reporting them to the state and bbb and filing a civil matter.
Worse business I’ve ever encountered. They are so slimy and shady. Damaged 1 of my vehicles badly and never even tried to fix it. I hope that they get exactly what they need! And the complex that they are working with is just as bad. I had a friend over for less than 10 min and car was towed.
They are sneaky. They told me they didn't charge for storage and then they did. They also charge for extras on top of the tow fee itself. And they and the apartment complex have an "agreement" that allows "the tow company to do their own inspections".
Car was towed from where I live over night. The company wouldnt work any deal even after I explained. In this year and these time nobody has $300 just sitting around to pay when you were in the house sleeping! If I were at a business then I would understand.
I wish I could give a negative star to this company. This company damaged my car and had the audacity to tell me they wouldn’t repair the damages. They cracked my windshield. There was still dust from the glass being freshly cracked. Then they send me a picture of my car and there was absolutely no damage. When I told the manager (her name is Tiffany) there’s nothing damage in this photo she proceeds to tell me “we won’t be fixing the damages and your free to do whatever you want to do”. She tells me this after I have been calling for over 2 weeks. Please be careful with this company and be sure you inspect your car before leaving the lot, take pictures and video…document everything!
Filing a Police report, reported to bbb, reported to ga consumers, and now my legal team is on it to file a lawsuit.
It may just be a cracked windshield and yes this is a black owned company (shame) but it’s the principle. You can’t take someone’s car, damage it, send proof then say there’s nothing you will do. Horrible!

This towing company is completely unethical and should be investigated by the Bureau of Standards and the appropriate state authorities. My vehicle was illegally towed from my apartment complex without any notice, warning, or valid reason. It was essentially taken without consent — the police even confirmed they had to locate the vehicle through surveillance cameras. This behavior is predatory, unprofessional, and unlawful. If you value honesty and integrity, stay far away from this company. What they did was not just wrong — it borders on theft.
PronTow is in cahoots with a company named ParkingPass. They work with apartment and townhome communities in Atlanta to tow cars that don't meet a long list of requirements such as up-to-date insurance, registration, vehicle registration with the community, etc. They drive around towing cars at 4AM while people are asleep, rather than by community necessity (i.e. blocking a driveway or complaint by homeowners).
Because I drive an electric car, the car must be towed using only a flatbed. When simply voicing this concern at PronTow, I was met with extreme animosity, unprofessionalism, refusal to provide proof of tow company insurance, and refusal to confirm the method in which my car was towed.
Towed my car while i was out at my cousins apartments for DAYSSS . Took my car on a sunday at 6am when thwy do not open until 9 . The police or apartment complex did not know why my car was towed & this company told me i had to pay $287 in order to get my car . As a visitor to the Commons helping a friend in an emergency, I ended up having an emergency this morning because they towed my car while coming to someone else's aid. SMH $254 WTF ? Neighbor's were knocking that they were towing my car, got outside and they were gone. Car couldn't have been 5 minutes away when I called them and at first they said they didn't have my car. Now it's $254 or else your cars mine hmmm ???♂️
This is a greedy, scam company they towed my sister car they said that she wasn’t registered but who registered everybody that come to visit them this shit is crazy.. When we found out they towed my sister car after we call the police the guy lied about letting the police know they had towed my sister car, they ride around all night and prey on people the is an apartment complex not a pay here park here. Yes I plan on seeking a legal defense.
Shady! My car was parked and my parking pass expired. Less than 24 hours later my vehicle was towed. I was gone all day , made it home at 11pm and by 4 am my car was gone. More fault to the apartment complex for allowing but to take a person's cars across town, charge them over 200 plus and only accepting money orders or cash shows how crooked they are.
I live in an apt complex and I've been out of town for over 2wks for training for work. I got back here after spending the night in an airport to a green sticker on my window. I called this towing company asking why they assumed my tag was expired when it's not even the end of the month. I ask could they get this green sticker off my window because I've tried and it won't come off. The audacity of assuming when they were wrong and the leasing office never sent our any notice of such. I understand why it's done but it would be nice to ask and not assume . If this sticker doesn't come off I will see them in court.
Every negative comment, please believe them. First and foremost, I blame the apartment complex they are partnered with because there is no way we should have to pay for parking as if we live in BUCKHEAD. Second, they pick and choose who car they want to tow without checking information. I know for a FACT because my car was towed and I’m barely home, but it’s an abandoned car in our complex that’s been here for almost a year that has not been touched…………….n also they charge WAY TOO MUCH to get a car out that has not sat for 24hrs. This company is a complete SCAM!! Read the honest reviews; they all state how shady this business is. Vehicle was allegedly towed for lack of parking pass at apartment complex. They ride around early morning preying on which vehicle they want to tow. Further more, they only accept cash or money orders to retrieve your vehicle. It’s 2025!! Which reputable company you know that doesn’t accept cashless payments? $200 plus dollars to retrieve a vehicle they towed 5 hours ago. A 1.6 rating tells you all you need to know about this shady company. Never seen a business was with a 1.6 rating!! Any apartment that partners with them to enforce parking regulations needs to really consider this business move.
Unfortunately, I've had the displeasure of having to chase them down due to poor hours, making me miss work. I don't see how the office, with few employees, are unavailable for you to retrieve your car in a timely manner but are awake at 3AM to tow, process, and impound your vehicle. Whereas I couldn't launch a complaint with the BBB (They aren't accredited.), the IRS, and other entities are available.
The Absolute worst company and experience ever for this to be a black owned company you would think they would be more professional they towed my vehicle from in front of my home at 4:30 AM Sunday when they she be sleeping or really towing illegally parked cars or cars who call in for a tow 254$ for what disgusting I hope this business doesn’t prosper at all. I recently experienced a flat tire, and my car was shaking badly. I had to pull into the nearest safe place, which happened to be the local Dairy Queen. Stressed but trying to stay hopeful, I went inside and politely explained my situation. I asked if I could leave my car there overnight until I could come back and get it repaired.
One of the employees kindly agreed and even texted the manager with a description of my car to keep them informed. I thought everything was fine.
When I returned the next day, my car was gone. I now realize I missed the sign stating that unauthorized vehicles would be towed, and I take responsibility for that. However, I was given verbal permission by an employee and was never told that the towing company comes after 10 PM no matter what.
When I asked the manager where my car was, he claimed he didn’t know. After more questioning, he finally admitted that towing happens after 10 PM but insisted that he had no control over it. He even led me outside, and while speaking with me, he began smoking directly in my face, completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
My mother later came in and asked to see the texts from the employee. He showed her briefly, but when I went back in to ask for a copy or even a picture of the message, he refused. He also wouldn’t tell us the name of the employee who gave permission.
Because of this poor communication and lack of responsibility from the manager, my car was towed. I now owe over $200 for towing and impound, all because their team did not clearly communicate their towing policy or stand by the permission they gave me.
I will be pursuing this further, including filing a claim in small claims court. Let this be a warning: if you're in an emergency and think you can trust this location to help, think twice.
I'm aware no towing coming is liked but they truly damaged my car... It was impounded because there was no parking pass that's my fault but upon walking on their lot to retrieve my vehicle it would not drive and a large puddle of transmission fluid was under the car. They dragged my car out of the parking spot in order to turn it around and hook it up from the front in doing that they disconnected the CV axle from the transmission and all the fluid came out. of course they’ll never accept accountability.
Pronto Towing was completely wrong for towing my registered vehicle. The apartment complex had them bring the car back because they were dead wrong—but instead of returning it to the spot in front of my home where it was originally parked, they had the nerve to leave it somewhere else on the property without telling me.
That careless decision caused even more anxiety and delayed my ability to contact the police and have the vehicle removed from the stolen car list. After a long and stressful day, the way this situation was handled was completely unprofessional and inconsiderate.
The fact that they towed a legally parked, registered vehicle in the first place shows a lack of accountability, and their trifling way of “resolving” it only made things worse. This entire incident could have been avoided with proper attention and basic respect for residents.
Money hungry! They wait until the middle of the night while residents are asleep to come and take their vehicles off of private property. There's absolutely no parking where we live and so we, the residents, all just kind of figure it out and make it work. No one should have to park their vehicle up the street and around the corner just to get to their unit. We have children and single women having to take that long walk sometimes late at night and its not safe at all considering the climate of the world today. I woke up yesterday to take my kids to school and myself to work and my car was gone. Unfortunately I had to pay $254 just to get it back from them half an hour away! They just left the complex again and tried to tow a car that was parked in the blue lines next to a handicapped spot out of the way of traffic and were met with angry residents who are sick of of them. Just money hungry and cowardly waiting to sneak up on some money while people sleep. Disgusting!
