I did an engine swap on an old Volvo and then could not get it to run. Ken and the guys at OTP took on the task of making it start, despite the fact that obviously the car was not yet buttoned up and still a bit of a DIY mess. They quickly found the problem and got it to run again, without charging me an arm and a leg. This is not the first time I've been stumped by something and they got me through it. I highly recommend this shop and will use them again for sure.
Took my car to OTP Automotive after having engine issues causing the car to burn through oil very quickly. I originally took the car to the dealer that I purchased from since I had also purchased a warranty through them. The dealer would not inspect the car, but instead told me I'd have to wait until a check engine light came on or until the engine failed. I took it to OTP for a 2nd opinion and they were able to diagnose the problem and quickly fix the problem! They also worked with my warranty company to have the repair covered under my warranty. I highly recommend!
My favorite auto repair shop. I've been using them exclusively for about four years. They have kept several vehicles safely running for me and my family, and are always there to give good advice. I recommend them to everybody I can, including my close friends and employees.
Went in for an oil change and tire rotation, Charles was very friendly and a great help.
Price was also very fair, less than the average quick oil change shop.
When I returned to pick up my vehicle, the tires ended up being in too rough a shape to be rotated and I wasn’t charged. I appreciated the gesture, as another shop may have just done the work and charged me regardless without notice.
Dropped car off because it was dying in the middle of driving. Had check engine light and knew it was related to electrical system. My code reader said ecu issues. They told me there was no check engine light when they started it and asked if I had cleared the codes. No I did not. Said it was good to go after 2 days and I see the receipt and it says that they cleared the check engine light and recommend to drive it until it shuts off on me driving down the road again… best part is they sent pictures of the diagnostics and there is a total of 28 faults in the electrical system. Did not seem very professional and like they don’t know what to do.
We can’t thank Ken and guys enough for helping us out of a bind. We were camping…several hours from home, and our battery started acting crazy. We went straight to O’Reilly’s for a battery, only to find out the battery swap was a little more complicated than we were willing to do on the fly. I called Ken based on a Google search, and he went out of his way to get our issue resolved very quickly. The customer service was outstanding. If we ever have another automotive issue in the Winder area, we will be back! Thanks, guys! God bless you!
I would recommend to anyone my wife bought a car and next day check engine light came on OTP not only got us in asap but also found other issues left by the dealer and fixed them all while making sure the warranty paid for what they should . I will never take our car to anyone else

I hired OTP Automotive to do a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle since I do not live in the area and they far exceeded my expectations. Their system to inspect a vehicle in very thorough and customer focused. The report included faults found, pictures and even a video. Charles is the person I dealt with and he was extremely helpful and willing to discuss the car and inspection thoroughly and ensure that I was as informed as I could be. Highly recommend OTP automotive!

I have always had issues with every shop ive ever trusted my vehicles to and was skeptical with OTP when they first started working on my mustang, I purchased my car from carvana and started having issues immediately, drove it a couple of times and before i knew it heard a terrible noise and realized my motor was blown. At this point i was terrified the warranty would not cover this motor and id be in the hole 15k+ in repairs but charles and his team fought to get me a new motor in the car and get it back on the road with no issues! I am beyond grateful with charles and the crew at OTP auto! They are transparent, professional, charismatic and know their stuff, i am grateful to have found them because from now on i dont need to look elsewhere for any other mechanics! From a simple oil change to a motor swap to even custom modification installs theyve got you covered! I give them 5 stars because thats the most i can but i definitely wish i could give them 10!

Didn’t get to talk to the mechanics that worked on my car but thank you to them for their work that they did put in. If you have a warranty and the people are just jumping through the loops, they will most definitely get it set straight in order to save you money! OTP was great replacing a motor in my son's Ford Focus. A local well know dealership had the vehicle for over 8 months and we did nothing but go around and around. They would say one thing and do another OR just never return my calls/emails. We have an extend warranty on the vehicle and when they submitted the claim it almost VOIDED my warranty based on the reasoning for the failed engine. The dealership was never able to give me a reason to why the engine failed with only around 30K miles on it. I was able to get my extended warranty to pay 3K and the dealership was going to charge us almost 10K to replace the motor, so we would owe around 7K. I took the car to OTP for a second opinion and within a few weeks the car had a new motor and was ready for pickup. We had to pay a little over 2K to have the motor replaced, much better than 7K. OTP is very honest and easy to do business with.
I can not tell you how much Ken and his team are awesome in explaining issues with my car in lamines terms. They explained everything to me in terms I could understand. ( I know where to put the gas )...This is the only place I'll take my car. Thanks to the team at OTP !!
OTP Automotive saved my 2015 Range Rover! Ken and the guys there have an amazing level of detail in their inspections. They located a "hidden" brittle coolant tube that was already failing and if left un-replaced could have cost me an engine.

When my e46 m3's finicky SMG transmission finally gave out I knew it was time to swap it to a manual. I was reluctant to find a shop to do the swap as I have had some bad experiences with "performance" shops in the Atlanta area; and to this point have done all of my own work. I reached out to OTP based on their google reviews, and I am very happy I did so. I spoke directly to Ken (the owner) who provided me a reasonable quote within a reasonable time frame. Ken also took the time to explain all the different options for a manual swap (which there are many) and the benefits and drawbacks of each. I explained that I wanted the car done as soon as possible, and dropped the car off. Ken and one of his techs even stayed an extra 20 minutes after close to help me push my bmw off the trailer, which goes to show how dedicated they are to their customers. During the swap, Ken personally kept me updated on how things were going and when we encountered issues due to part and labor shortages, Ken worked with me directly to resolve the issues in a timely manner to my satisfaction. What I appreciated the most about this whole experience is that I was never talked down to in a condescending way, or treated like I didn't know what I was talking about. Ken is an enthusiast and you can tell he loves what he does. OTP is about 90 minutes away from me, and I would happily take my M3 there again. Thank you Ken and your awesome team of techs!
Ken is a great mechanic! We take our 2006 Volvo here and Ken is very knowledgeable on all of the details of Volvo ownership. Service is always super quick and communication is on point. I'll even likely shop for a newer Volvo soon since I have a good shop to take it to.
I’ve had OTP do a bunch of stuff on my e93. Ken and the whole team have been solid with everything from routine maintenance to performance upgrades. Honest and Knowledgeable. I go 40 miles out of my way to have my car serviced here and spend the extra money to take an Uber home b/c I trust these guys.
Back in April I flew up to Atlanta to pick up a new to me M235i. The dealership it was at just so happened to be down the road from OTP Automotive. I had heard great things about the place from friends and on ATLBimmers. I contacted Ken ahead of time to see if he could fit me in for an oil change and was more than happy to do so. Ken is extremely friendly and knowledgeable on these cars and went out of his way to to make sure I had a great experience. 11/10 would use him again and recommend anyone in the area to use him.
I had contacted Ken after a buddy of mine had recommended him. I've done everything to the car myself so I was a little reluctant to leave it with just anyone Ken made me feel like my car was in good hands. I had a few studs missing going through the turbo to the exhaust manifold and few messed up threads. Ken and his crew would have had my car done right on time had it not been for the wrong gasket delivered from the dealership. Everything was completed beyond my expectations they even replaced a few bolts I had missing from the heat shield over the manifold. Needless to say if I ever need work done to my car again I will gladly be making the hour and 15 minute drive to Ken and his crew. Preciate all the work yall did.
My friend and I purchased a BMW and immediately brought it to Ken with a list of repairs we wanted done after Ken was highly recommended by friends and other bmw owners. I was excited to transition away from extensive work I have been doing on my BMWs to focus more on building my career. When I brought the car in, Ken said with such a laundry list, I can set a budget that he will try to fix as much as possible with the budget and call me for additional funds needed. The discussed budget was $600. I liked his plan because it felt like there would be some progress made on the car quickly. Ken called me back within a couple days and informed me the things he could address. The only mention of price in our phone call was $1000 for redoing the whole cooling system, $90 for some hood cables, $50 for an exhaust and “cheap.” I told him not to do the cooling system because I will fix it but to “see if he can take care of the check engine light, headlights and exhaust.” He never called back about those things, although one of his guys did call about the headlights needing to cost one or two hours extra. I asked the guy what the current price is to see what the extra cost would amount to. The price was already $1300. It shocked me. I was told Ken was on vacation and the employee didn’t know anything about the $600 budget. I felt misled and Ken never called back upon his return to clarify. I called a few days later to check on the car with Ken and the current price was confirmed to be over double the budget. In that conversation he told me I had already agreed to do all the repairs and he thought the price was no concern. In the end I picked up the car with Ken saying he sees where I was confused but still having to pay $1200 for the $1300 of repairs Ken didn’t quote to me. His excuse was he didn’t see how I thought a tune, exhaust leak repair, and hood cable repair could cost $600. TRM did some programming on my car and I have nothing bad to say about them or about Ken’s repair quality. The complaint I have is on the communication which is half my fault for trusting Ken so much. Ken wanted to completely cut off any future business from my friend and me after we discussed how we felt there was a miscommunication. With that said, I highly recommend having Ken email over a quote before asking him to do any repairs.
EDIT: a month later I went to pass emissions and found out my check engine light is disconnected. It looks like OTP never fixed my issues with the check engine light and instead shut off the light. It seems like they wanted me to pick up the car with the engine light off. I called the shop when I found out I was having the transmission park reverse neutral code as they were supposed to tune my car as a manual instead of automatic. They did not recall if the check engine light was was working when I brought the car to them. I do not recommend OTP automotive or TRM based on my sketchy experience.
Ken has my business as long as I have a need for a mechanic. He is honest, professional, thorough and his services are reasonably priced. Finding a good mechanic that gives great value has always been a chore, but I know as long as Ken is around I don't need to take my vehicles anywhere else. Thanks OTP!
I came here because my truck was making loud noises, Ken checked it out and determined that he wasn't equipped for repairs and helped locate a place better suited for that repair. I returned this week when my truck started running rough and this time they were able to repair it in a timely manner. Fair prices and Very Honest. I would definitely recommend them in the future
It all started with reading all of the great reviews, and a quick stop by to ask for a repair quote. The owner made a great impression right off the bat, and then gave me an amazing price to do the extensive amount of work on my car. Two days before the scheduled repairs were to begin, I broke down in Augusta GA and he went out of his way to get the car back to Winder to begin the work. I am a OTP customer for life. I've taken my E36 M3 to Ken at OTP Automotive a couple times now. The OTP crew is extremely knowledgeable in the BMW game, as well as other cars. One day I freaked out because my window went off track, thinking its was going to be 100s of dollars in repairs I started looking for where to take the car. Sure enough OTP was able to fix it for a GREAT price. I've had to take the car for some suspension issues and it was fixed very quickly. Anytime I have a DIY question Ken is kind enough to answer.
Sure enough, just bought a new Lexus LX470 and I know where i'm going to get the car all fixed up (Including a FULL timing belt job for a great price)!
