You’re told to drive onto a scale, then somehow BACK ONTO THE SAME SCALE AGAIN with NO ROOM to do it. Everyone is confused, traffic is jammed, and nobody knows what the hell they’re doing. It’s unsafe, disorganized, and beyond frustrating.
And the biggest slap in the face?
I dropped off OVER 300 POUNDS of material and got paid $27.
Yes. Twenty. Seven. Dollars.
A complete waste of time, gas, and effort. The fact that this place has a 4+ star rating is laughable and seriously misleading. Save yourself the headache — GO ANYWHERE ELSE.
I've been coming here for the last 4 years since I got into electrical work. I've always gotten around $1.50-$1.85 per pound on my scrap wire. I went in today with some scraps, it was a mix of thhn and thwn etc.. sizes #16-#6. All stranded copper wire. I got paid out .65 cents a pound on it for "communication cable." I went back up there and tried my case about it and was told the owner would call me and I never received a call. I know you guys want to make money and you're a business, but I've been coming here for a while now getting consistent money from it. I do truly think that you guys are just trying to make a few extra cents off me since I've brought this SAME wire before and been paid for spaghetti wire. I'm going to find another recycling place and see if they can do better. You guys have been good but I'm not gonna get stiffed. Sorry.
They do not answer the phone to force you to come to their place... but gas and the price of scrap... one can not go all around town to look for the best price.
Give my review a like if you agree that this first visit I had with this company was unfair.I wash in a rush that day so I didn't have time ti go over the receipt.When I got home I noticed there's nothing noted about the pressure washer engine?.I contemplated a few days on whether I should post this review and I decided I should just to make people who aren't familiar with this line of work to be cautious and do research before hand
This was my first time here and I'm unfamiliar with prices of the metals.Whoever that was that helped
me at the scale (middle age Hispanic guy who was assisted by a youger guy)because I never got his name.But when I first got there he asked me asked me about 2-3 times "Is this your first time here?"After I left I thought about it and I'm sure he took me for a ride because of my lack of experience or knowledge.Especially after looking at the receipt and not seeing the pressure washer engine and that the intercooler (clean aluminum) was only 12 lbs.
He thought I wasn't paying attention but the scale wasn't even registering any weight when he was placing items on it.Is this normal?But I also have a list of the items I brought and a pic of the receipt to show how honest that guys was
Those items were
1)Peterbuilt I intercooler with the end tanks cut off.My friend that gave it to me said it should be about 1 dollar a lbs with the ends cut off.Weight was about 20-30 lbs
2)Pressure washer engine no stand or accessories
3)A car battery (approx 600 CCA)
4)About 5 small metal brackets and a few small aluminum ones
5)Dirty car radiator
6)2002 BMW 325i dual mass flywheel
I got 20 bucks for all that ?After I went home looked up the average prices of these metals here in Georgia and most prices on this receipt are way lower

This is a small scrap yard but they are very easy to deal with and more than fair. Seemed to be a great group of folks and helped get some of our heavier items off with their forklift.
I have been dealing with Julian and Mario for several years. The are the hardest working people around. They go the extra mile to help me unload, payment has always been fair and have always been professional. It's hard to find that these days with all they have to put up with. They rate a 10 out of 10.
Laid back atmosphere and fair on there price per. Pounds.. this place is convenient to the public and everyone try their best to meet your expectation.
ive been going here for years but here recently they have changed.... I took some scrap up there and the total was $30 and some change i deposited the check directly into my bank and the check was rejected do to some unfortunate problems from here when i contacted them about it they told me to bring them the chack back and the would issue a new one and reimburse me the $12 my bank charged me for the check.... When i got there they just told me its not on them and its not there problem and to go track down there bank and then called the cops on me so im now out the $30 check and the $12 fee.... There are other recycling places that wont steal from you and i would recommend trying some where else
Didn’t know what to expect my first time scrapping but thankfully Julian was very helpful walking me through the process and different types metals. The prices were also very good. Will definitely use this place for any future metal scrapping.
Great staff, in and out and done, very well run place competitive payouts for salvage.
I've been selling junk 30 years from my family business, once I met these guys never thought of using another place too sell my hvac leftovers, and I could go anywhere.

My boyfriend and I stopped by here to see if they had any scrap sheet metal that we could use for a DIY project we were working on. They let us look thru what they had and didn't charge us anything for the 4 sheets we picked out. Very nice folks!
Do you ever think there's no one left out there in the world who is just a good old honest person??? Or business?? Well let me tell you I've found both! I lost an expensive ring at Green Point Recycling today and the guy could have put it in his pocket and walked away, but no... this man went to the parking lot and looked around for it and then called me to tell me he found it. Use this business for all your recycling needs because hard working, honest people are hard to find these days!!!!
