This morning I go to new Smyrna Beach recycling off of Park Avenue trying to get rid of some yard waste. I have to stay on schedule. I’m a small business I get there and they tell me that they’re not taking yard waste on a Saturday. Who in their right mind would reject money coming into a company but instead, they rather take scrap metal and pay money going out absolutely unprofessional the kid running the scale walked away from me with an attitude when I was trying to talk to him and now I have to drive all the way out to Samsula when we’re supposed to have a convenient dump in our area in the new Smyrna Edgewatr area absolutely ridiculous thank you new Smyrna Beach recycling from Messing up my schedule and making me go out out of the way
If I could, I would not give them any stars. The women there are not friendly. They are rude and obnoxious. I’ve brought scrap there and they’ve scammed me out of the full price by calling it dirty. And do not even attempt to look at anything in the scrap pile For yourself. It is a woman run and it is clear that they do not know how to deal with the public in a good faithful way. I would not recommend them and recommend trademark metal instead.
Absolutely horrible! Staff are extremely rude and it is extremely disorganized. I would suggest to take photos of the scale when weighing in and out because they will short you by hundreds of pounds but they will deny any wrongdoing and refuse to correct their errors, so it is worthless. They put whatever numbers they want on the receipt which do not come close to the scale readings, falsifying documents is unethical and a horrible way to run an alleged "place of business". I would avoid this place because you will not only be scammed but disrespected and yelled at as well.
PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!! Brought a truck load of clean aluminum castings and failed to check the receipt. Shame on me. I assumed it was what it was but when I checked it later when I returned home they paid me for dirty aluminum .13/lb and when I went back they flat out told me dirty and clean aluminum was the same price. I called around and other scrap yards paid .13/lb for dirty aluminum castings and .35 to .38/lb for clean aluminum castings. My fault for not asking first but, live and learn. Won't be going back there again.
Im 9 months pregnant had five employees stand around as I climbed in and out of the bed of my truck lifting heavy items. Not to mention the things that were rang up incorrectly as if I didn't know what was what.
Complete waste of tax money employing their services because they have no value or pride in what they do. Make more of a mess than they help pick up. Worst of the worst when it comes to city services. Words can’t explain how garbage they are.
The people that run this place are very friendly over the other facilities in the area Paul is a great guy and helped me with loading highly recommended
