I live out of state. My elderly mom needed her car repaired. She took it to Homes Auto I’m on a recommendation. I had wanted to do some recon before she took it somewhere, but that was too late. It ended up I couldn’t have been happier with the service. Steve took care of the multiple issues as well as keeping us both informed of what was happening. He was kind, honest and communicative. I highly recommend Hughes auto!
I took my car to Holmes in January 2024. They were recommended to me by Stuart’s. $2500+ later, they did not fix the problem. I took my car there 4 times. They couldn’t figure out what was wrong. After a period, they stopped returning my messages. When my car finally broke down (overheated with engine oil in the coolant), they didn’t want to talk to me about it. Needless to say I wouldn’t go back.
Steve Sr and Steve Jr are nice people. But if u have anything wrong with your car (as opposed to just a tune up), I recommend that u go somewhere else.
Brought in my newly bought used Volvo for service as it was running rough. Asked them to get it running/dependable for me and they did exactly that. Knowledgeable service work and honesty was what I appreciated the most, will definitely bring the car back again for any other needed service in the future.

 the owners son backed his boat into my grandson’s car at the shop and promise to fix it
never fixed it so my grandson settled for getting parts through shop and doing labor his self (no paint job and no insurance company). We have pictures
My grandson went to pick up his pay check ,they still owe him another one too they refused his pay $580 and about 500$ for first week worked they refused and kept for the Bumper said in exchange for the accident. Well now we’re calling Holmes shop insurance and calling it in on there ins claim
My grandson, never missed a day and took Brow beating daily from the Son and he actually threw a wrench one day and barely missed my grandson‘s head. Yesterday he had eneough and just said I m not going to work like this any more and the step mother agreed never said a curse word and left

And never miss today as I was told by the Owner when I paid for a break Job my grandson did on my z71 bill not two weeks ago they must have trusted him they let him drive the expensive cars

$169 hour labor rate, and was told the dealer is much more. That was a lie. The dealer STILL isnt that much, and i would say avoid this shop for lack of ethics and honesty. Proof of bill attached.

Holmes worked w me to install unobtainable parts I was able to source from salvage places and my sources in Dubai.
They helped me diagnose some engine problems.

I bought an older not running C- Class that had been sitting in someone yard for 5+ Years, Vehicle started once and stalled 15 seconds later.
They were extremely helpful in allowing me to have the vehicle towed in the day before Thanksgiving. they were able to drain the gas (which in 5yrs had turned to water in the tank and get the car to a nicely running state whereas I was able to drive the 100 miles back to my house with it.
They were professional and friendly in helping me to begin restoring a vehicle for someone who was from out of town
I don’t trust them. Dropped off my 2014 BMW X1 at 8am per their request and was treated like an inconvenience by I’m assuming Steve Jr. Received a call from Steve Sr. a few hours later with a quote for $3000 for an oil pan and 1 coil replacement. I was told it would be $900 for labor alone on the oil pan. Even if the labor were $100 an hour why would it take 9 hours?? I immediately had it towed to another specialist who quoted me $1500 for the oil pan replacement and all four coils and an oil change. Literally 50% of the cost. I’m glad I went with my instinct to not do business with Holmes as the mechanic I took it to told me he receives calls from Holmes every week asking him for advice. Bottom line...they’re unprofessional, over priced and rude. Don’t waste your time or money!
Steve and his father are great guys there business is awesome they fixed my bmw 745 I when other places wouldn’t touch it if you have a bmw Mercedes Volvo Range Rover Land Rover any foreign or domestic car or truck go see Steve Sr or Steve Jr there prices are very reasonable and service is quick a two thumbs up

WOW WOW WOW is all I can say, This place is GREAT & very HONEST. I drove from VERO BEACH to Edgewater to have them work on my car & they saved me over $400.00. From the minute I spoke with them about my AC issue Steve handled with Total Professionalism & had my issue diagnosed within 20 minutes. He was DEAD ON with my issue & fixed for less than $100.00 after being quoted almost $525.00 in Vero. I will drive back with any issues I may have in the future. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL THE CREW !!!!!!! Total and complete rip-off artist. They not only charge you high labor rates, he then makes you pay extra for parts, meaning he gets a part for $50, he will charge you $100 for that part. Stay away...Go to Myron's a couple miles south on Route 1, at least they are honest!
Worked with Steve a long time on a number of vehicles. Always leave feeling it is done right and though I never have needed it if I had to he is always willing to do anything to make it right. Good mechanics are hard to find and this is one.
