The owners were very nice, but it took 6 hours to get started working on my car, then 3 hours later, I called them right before they closed, and I got the "I was just about to call you." I came to pick up the car and was charged a randomly generated sum.
20YEARS AGO I had my car repaired at a different shop… not repaired but it ran. Sounded horrible- like a Harley- complained and was told after the repair that’s just how it was going to be( my dad even knew the owner) I couldn’t see driving it this loud. On my way home I drove past Alonso’s. Stopped- unimpressed by the shop, but Alonso was sincere and I knew it. He fixed it by turning the distributor cap 180 degrees and charged me nothing-- I’m editing my prior post to update it and again let Alonso know 27 years later his generous kindness to help a very broke kid still is appreciated- Tim
My daughter recommended Alonso. She always got fare pricing for work on her car. So when my car wouldn't start I had it towed to them. Turned out to be the battery. The price was more then fare. Work was done in a day. I found my new mechanics.
Prejudice owner. Refuses to take debt cards because he evading taxes. He contracts with the State so he get paid with our tax money but does not pay taxes!
Alonso's is either grossly incompetent at best, or fraudulent at worst. Our employer, for some reason, directs body work repairs and general service issues to Alonso's. Their painters never match the correct black color and there is always excessive orange peel texture and dirt in the paint. Most recently, my front bumper was painted and they missed several areas with clear coat because they didn't take the time to ensure they sprayed the bumper from all angles. In another incident, they replaced my front control arms and struts with incorrect parts (the part numbers are never shown on invoices) that had to be replaced a second time by another shop after the car's suspension geometry and handling was affected. It's readily apparent which of our cars have received the "Alonso's special," and it's a miracle no one has been killed as a result of their work.
I have to say Alonso was a big help explained everything about the bill and what he had to do to get the bike back safely to the yard. Hey was trying to help us if we needed take the bike to the dealership. Alonso was great. Thanks for all your help. It was great talking with you.
Always a pleasure to work with the staff here! Informative and friendly they always let me know if it is worth the trouble to fix something or buy new. I appreciate all of their hard work!
Brought my 05 Yukon in for a 2nd opinion on possible Rear Main Oil seal leak. Decided to leave it because they were fairly priced. George was very friendly and to know they have been in business for over 20years says something.

Amongst all the busiest that is a auto repair shop, Alonso's of Orlando values each person individually.
Having great knowledge, realistic reports on what's wrong with your car and how they can fix it, doesn't make me want to go anywhere else.
This group came highly recommended by a new friend and has done a tremendous job with both of our old and difficult to service vehicles. We appreciate them.
I've been coming to this mechanic since i got my 1st car back in 2011 and my parents have been using Alonso's of Orlando for years before that! Always reasonable and always fixes any issues we have with our cars! We really consider them our family mechanic and they are very trustworthy. Would recommend again and again!
This shop facilitated the removal of my vehicle from an accident. I was left with an overall bad taste in my mouth from the way things were handled. I would not trust them with any vehicle I own.
Price was fair.. But always damages to my car or truck when returning to me...
2012 vw : ripped seats from mechanic coming in and out of car. When asked what happened, was brushed off and givin poor excuse.
2006 nissan titan: plastics broken on interior of vehicle.. after cable replacement.
George has worked on many vehicles of both mine and my family has been very honest and friendly and forth coming of what to expect and above all else took care of my vehicles until woking and looking back to its original condition I want to thank George and others that work diligently.
This towing company, charged me a ridiculous amount for towing my car, their excuse is that every minute of waiting was $20 + of additional fee, while the police was writing the accident report, this towing company was adding up + $100 to my towing fee, and the driver and owner were so rude when I started questioning why the towing fee went up that much..
Do not recommend this towing company.
Mr. Alonso: You DID NOT chauffeured me to my house, that is a lie, so who needs to be truthful is YOU. You took my car and me to the dealer which is what I paid for, you did not make any extra favors as you made it sound in your reply. You were very rude and your driver was rude as well when we tried to cancel the service since the cost was ridiculous expensive. What the law says about cancelling towing services when paying cash ? because your driver refused to let my car go.
I had my car towed here after an accident. Jorge and his son were so personable and friendly, I immediately checked to see if their shop was in my insurance network for repairs. It is not, but if I ever need anything done on my car they will be the first place I go!
Mr. Alonso has worked on my car, as well as, my daughter for many years. He is very congenial and reliable. He's trustworthy and will always give a fair price of a job well done. As important, George is fully accessible and very reasonable with scheduling repairs.
