Yard is clean and organized. 5 cents a pound for super clean shred is a joke. Brought in 1800+ pounds of clean iron and got $91. To be fair my normal yard was closed and they were open.
Brought in a 50 ft aluminum hose and was told it was “irony stainless” with a weight of just 0.100 lb , which felt incredibly off. I left with $1.40 for what should’ve been multiple pounds of scrap. No explanation, no material breakdown, no option to separate, just a quick weigh-in and cash out.
The wait was about 30 minutes despite a short line, and the layout of the yard was chaotic. There were obstacles and what looked like tire hazards scattered throughout the driveway, making it tough to even pull in without risking damage.
If you’re not a seasoned scrapper, it’s easy to walk away feeling shortchanged. Not a place I’d recommend for casual or first-time visits.
Driver nearly killed 3 ppl just now on orange Ave.. this truck, hauling shop junk it seems, just swerved at a car with a family of 3 nearly driving them off the road into a wall
Was there on a Saturday at 12:48 the guy was already turning all the people away when it clearly estates that the business hours is until 1:00 pm am I wrong for saying this and giving 2 stars on service
I have been scrapping steel and junk for 42 years now originally from midwest I must say the people at scrap systems try to be fair on prices and are helpful and polite every time I go there from the scale to precious metals to the back of the unloading yard keep up the good work and thankyou I recommend your salvage yard to everyone mike schultz sr
It was very much well worth the trip so if you got scrap laying around copper ,aluminum . it's in your way take it there and get you some money honey gas going up everything going up get paid
We had an awesome adventure scrapping an old chain link fence today. The scale weighed us exactly as the scale at the county landfill on young pine road. Their scale is 100% accurate. The lady running the place was very knowledgeable and helpful. We’re out scrapping metal now and we hope to be back as soon as possible. Went in to drop off some motors and aluminum. Good price. Effortless. Above all this is the most hospitable business of any kind that I've been to in a long time. Everyone was helpful and did not mind talking to you. I wouldn't go anywhere else to scrap.
Extremely Rude and unprofessional. I will never ever return!!! I was cleaning out my dad’s estate. Extremely low prices for metal. I was told by a Scrap Metalist that he doesn’t go there because he gets more money for his metal else where.
I've been cleaning up my parent property for a couple years now. The people that work here have always been friendly and helpful. Never had bad experience and I've been there over a dozen times.
Staff is extremely rude and talk to people like they are worthless. So many other scrap yards to good where people actually treat u right. Don't waste your time here.

I've been to a couple recycling yards the ppl were ride and not helpful. Tried SSI and the ppl there were very nice and helpful. Never once had a bad experience from anyone there in front office or in the scrap area.. everything runs very quick and smoothly even on the busiest days.
Rude Rude Rude... I called... Wasn't on the phone a whole 30 seconds before the lady got rude with me... As if I was annoying her by calling her place of business and asking a question. Someone with such an attitude should never be the first person of contact for ANY business. I'll take my business elsewhere. Thank you!
Called up to see what the current price of aluminum was and the woman on the phone was very nice. When i got there the guys handling my aluminum were nice. I asked where to go with my ticket and they said pull back around to the office. I pulled up on the scale at the office and the lady behind the counter asks me not to park on the scale. I hop in my truck and pull forward so I'm off the scale. Then the manager literally comes out of the office to yell at me. Tells me to go park over there and if i don't I'm not getting my money. I told him i was only parking where i though i was suppose to and maybe they should make a sign that says parking. I'm sorry for the people there that have to work for that guy. They have like 5 scrap yards in 5 mile radius take your metal to TMR instead.
Thought I was trying a different place but it's the same people that were by the citrus bowl (Brothers). Total rip offs. They think people are stupid. Every time I go here no matter how much I bring, they end up giving you around $30.00. I bring expensive clean aluminum and no matter what , at the end of the weigh....same everytime. They must think everybody is a $30 crack head. Same rip off guy at the scales everytime. The guy has a nasty attitude. He's rude . He said my bolts were stainless rather than Aluminum and that was a lie. Over 100 lbs of clean aluminum and they give you a receipt and you end up with $30.00. They lie about the weight, and the cleanliness of your metal. This time was the last straw...I took my scrap off the scale and loaded it back up in my truck and will never use them again.
The staff are rude and unhelpful. This was my first trip here and nobody there is friendly or helpful. In fact, the employee who unloaded my metals from my trailer damaged it. I also observed him yelling and cursing at another customer.
This place will rip you off. I brought a bunch of #1 copper, clean no fittings or sodder. They told me it was #2 because it was oxidized. I also brought a bunch of mc cable in aluminum sheath, they said this was mixed metal and wanted to give me .13/pound. They also only paid me .27/pound for my air condenser fins because they said “they were ironny. This place like I said, is a rip off. Go to Landers recycling instead to be treated fairly.
Pretty fast to get in and out of this place. It's fairly clean as most orlando metal recycling operations go. They pay well for all of the pool heaters and pool motors that I gave them from time to time.
