ALWAYS NEGOTIATE !!! I called to get a quote for my '05 Nissan Altima, and they told me $450, but I negotiated the price up to $500. I knew they would pull a fast one when they got here which was why I pushed the price up to $500. Low and behold, the driver gets here, and he doesn't even speak English, which I think is by design. He went on to tell me that the catalytic converter was "EMPTY" and that would lower the price, which I knew was total bullshit, by the way. They send a Hispanic guy who doesn't know English, so when you negotiate, there's a misunderstanding of communication, which I wasn't having, so I made him call the supervisor who spoke English!! Before he hands me the phone to talk to the supervisor, they have a conversation, and I'm pretty sure they were plotting on how to screw me. The supervisor got on the phone and tried to tell me the catalytic converter sounded "EMPTY," which led to the lower price. They try to get you by saying it's "EMPTY" because there's no way for any of us to prove that it isn't. They do a tapping test to hear if it sounds full or not and judge from there. I had the car for 5 years so how can it run that long without the working components? So, to make a long story short, I stand firm at the original price of $450 and close the deal. If I didn't negotiate beforehand they would have tried to get me at $400 or lower. I'd rather break even than lose any more money off of something they're going to make a few grand off of in the long run !! Ultimately I needed to get rid of the car anyway and didn't want to spend time looking for another junkyard to haggle with since it wouldn't have been worth the time.
The moral of the story is "ALWAYS NEGOTIATE" because in the world of buying and selling there's ALWAYS deception and you can't trust anyone !! Protect your best interests and stay true to yourself.

SCAM! READ OTHER REVIEWS. Told me car the did not have original catalytic converter & showed me a picture of one on line & then showed me mine & said it had been changed out.. I told him there is NO way as I've had the for almost 200,000 miles( I'm 2nd owner it had 38000 miles on it when purchased at Hyundai dealership) We had agreed on $530. and he offered me $300. I told him the car had already been sitting...It could sit a lil longer.. He finally gave me $475. The next morning I put my VIN# in and pulled up my cars original catalytic converter which my car HAD! I called immediately & was put thought to voicemail & left message. Called again today to get my $55. and Got the run around again..How do people like this sleep at night?? THEY KNOWINGLY tell people the catalytic converter isnt original when it is to low ball !!!..READ other reviews.
If I could give zero stars I would. Furst they promised pick up and no called no showed. Then second time it was very late show 39minutes past window and they promised $550 for the car then on arrival the tow truck driver said something about the catalytic convertor wasnt original one , which not sure that was ecen true and although car intact and runs only offered $200. Bait and switch price. Other sister companies dont do this. Unfair. Very unhappy. Apparently after reading these reviews they do this a lot based on all the reviews below. We will never use this company again. It was late and dark is only reason settled. Regret now. We had other quotes and should have gone with them. They guaranteed quote price at minimum 300 to 400 even if car isnt exactly as thought. Karma will catch up eventually. Maybe they will read this and give us another 100 or 200. Shame on them. All these people on here scammed in reviews. God doesnt like ugly or thieves. Dont know how they sleep at night. BBB should know about this.
The driver was nice. However, I know I got hustled. I was entitled to the $500 as I was initially quoted and should have did more research before signing the papers. Even though the Cadillac converter may have not been the original to the car, it still had platinum. Lesson learned and will never happen again if I have to junk a car. As a widow, I told the driver of my husband passing, this was unethical but see it’s a cutthroat business. This will never happen again and hope this helps someone else they may try and take advantage of.
Looks like a scam, they didn’t ask me any questions besides the make and model of my broken-down car and they immediately offered to pay $600 and drive 2 hours to pick it up. Their alleged office is also located in the hood.
I was offered $550 for my car but the tower offered $150 when he got there, and said my car didn’t have original catalytic converter. But I insisted my car with the original catalytic converter and three good tires left. After haggling, I managed to get $210.
I want to let people know that the price they give you on the phone won't nearly be the price offered to you. This is car scrap place and please walk away if you don't like the price they offer.

horrible service just terrible never will be doing business again don't listen that match price they tell you cause its all LIES!!! they tell you they can match but once the driver comes the take pictures and then lowball you the most they can and dont even get me started with the service over the phone they are very rude and don't care for customers i asked the lady for 5 minutes and insisted she'll only give me two cause im wasting her time overall worst place!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After haggling, I managed to get $100, but to anyone thinking about using this place, know that the price they give you on the phone won't nearly be the price offered to you. Be prepared to have another car scrap place in mind and walk away if you don't like the price they offer.

The driver Jose that came and picked up my car completely made the experience top tier, I was a scattered mess and stressed between kids and loosing my id, messing up the year and make, he not once made me feel judged and was very calming despite the chaos I was dealing with. He also pushed to get me my money's worth when regulations weren't met for the amount I wanted. The whole experience was easy, fast, and could even joke around, extremely understanding of a single parents struggles and I for one am always uncomfortable and get anxiety around strangers especially new people at my home, but not once did he make me uncomfortable and his calmness along with the owns comprising abilities made everything flow with the quickness would have went even quicker if I wasn't a whole mess and loosing everything ...would def take my business back there just for the experience alone
Do not use this company. They tell you one price on the phone and when they get there, they will tell you that the catalyst coventor is not the original and only give you a little bit of money. And the whole time he (Luis) is telling you that he is sorry he don't speak English.
This company needs more guys like Jose my truck had sentimental value and I put a lot of time and money into it it was going to be my daughters first vehicle . He called his boss and then tried to talk me down on the price that was previously agreed on since he had found that the catalyst converter was an aftermarket which I had no clue being that I bought the truck from a used car dealer and I’m not a mechanic . If I could have figured out the problem I would have kept it . I was just about to say no deal and Jose was understanding and eventually got me the right price . A lot of good memories are with that truck I was sad to see it go. Thank you jose with your help your definitely one of a kind. I hope me and my daughter can make new memories with the next vehicle we find.

Jose was a good driver. I was offered 560 for my 2007 Ford focus from an online company. I was truthful in the information I gave about the exterior and interior if my vehicle. What I did not know is that exhaust convert was not original. I was told the price would drop 150 so I expected a price of 410. I was offered 250. I disputed this with the driver and after his understanding he offered me the correct price. I gave him a tip which I don't normally do because he could see what was being done was wrong. Thank you for being honest with me.

Yesterday I needed to find a tow/salvage yard to sell my car to. I called this company and they were very courteous and professional over the phone. They sent a driver out at the specified time I requested, The driver Jonathan called me and communicated and verified information and also gave me his ETA. Once he arrived the other company I was getting my car from out of the impound had a delay of about 30 minutes to release the car to Jonathan. Jonathan waited patiently, which I appreciated that because he didn’t have to wait I’m sure he had a busy schedule. Jonathan was polite and professional and was also kind. He shared his concern of my daughters car accident and stated he hope that everything was well with my daughter. That meant a lot because the accident my daughter had was very serious. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a tow or to salvage your car
