The company may have a good reputation, but they need to train their drivers in basic courtesy and common sense. A driver blocked the only vehicle passageway in a small shopping center by backing in to hook up a pickup truck. Instead of quickly hooking up the truck, the driver spent the first 10 minutes taking pictures while blocking traffic. I suggested that he park the wrecker first and then take his photos before returning to hook up the truck. He just laughed and continued to take his time, showing no concern for others. I notified dispatch in the hopes that this will prompt additional training and a discussion about common courtesy with the driver.
I called early on a Saturday, was given a reasonable rate and told a pick up time. The truck arrived before the estimated time, which is impressive!! Overall a company with a good system, always nice to see folks working in pairs for good training and service. Friendly dispatch over the phone, excellent communication, with me and internally. It’s never good day for a customer when you have to call a tow truck, but there was no stress and good service with this company! Thanks also to Oscar for being so cheerful in the morning!
Pagan was provided by my roadside assistance through State Farm. Though the State Farm app experience was dreadful, Pagan's service was exceptional. The State Farm app estimated a 90-minute wait as I wasn't in traffic. But I was blocking a business and the team there weren't pleased. I called Pagan to see if my call could be escalated. The dispatcher was knowledgeable, polite, understanding.... and my truck was already just 30 min away! The driver ( should have gotten his name, but you know your head's not really in the game in these situations... the cab read Legal Towing) was courteous, efficient, and friendly. I'd elected to have my car taken to my home and he went out of his way to park it in the side yard (so my dotty neighbour wouldn't hit the wing mirror... again). I and my car were home and settled in about an hour....the night before a holiday. Wow. The difference was in the people - any truck could have gotten us towed... the two gentlemen I interacted with were reassuring, effective, and supportive. The experience was as positive as it could have been, and I've now told my daughter should she need roadside assistance to just skip the State Farm app and call Pagan.
