Got a flat tire on Hwy 70 about 10 miles outside of town. Checked the internet for tire repair and selected this one. I had a portable compressor and re-inflated my tire on the side of the road and limped it to the Automotive Point. Skyler looked at it immediately and quickly determined it could be patched. He was pleasant, professional and very efficient. I was back on my way across the state in under 20 minutes. $30 was a great deal for the service. Thank you Skyler for letting me ask you about patching vs plugging and you showing me that my tire would get me home (another 1.5 hrs away), but that I would want to replace it and showing me why. Getting a flat tire on highway 70 could have made for a bad day, luckily I had an inflator and I found Automotive Point who got me safely fixed up in a jiffy. I highly recommend this business.

I would like to recognize the staff and management team of Automotive Point... The knowledge, the precision, and the willingness to serve the Lake Placid community are amazing... I watched these guys day in and day out. Getting cars in and getting them out, I continue to bring my vehicles to this establishment because they have a lot of heart. Thomas, the "young blood" hot shot master mechanic from New York, is the "New Owner" taking over when Big Joe retires.. His years of experience and knowledge of the auto industries makeup is an assurance of his quality of work... Thomas is a problem solver and will likely give you his true analysis of what you are up against with repairs and cost... I love the "upfront, no surprise estimate" that gives you a chance to decide if the repairs are worth the price to move forward... a huge shout out to Skyler, who is also a master mechanic, the silent problem solver of the shop, and the office hero with knowledge "Chance", who is the one who gets you all set up for repairs and calls around for the best parts that fit your budget to get you back on the road... I got an interstate battery out of the Mustang it's only a year old is 18 month warranty and you're supposed to be able go to any interstate dealer and they tested. The kid is sitting in a recliner inside on his phone and I said you're interstate dealer he points to the interstate batteries on the wall I said I got one need to check I think it's bad. Did you buy it for us? I said no is that we don't do that I said no you're dealer interstate said any deal he said we don't do that you gotta buy it from us. OK no problem reviews for you. Last time the older guy was a sleep behind counter and I needed a tires and they asked me size I told them 6 times and they were arguing back and forth and just a complete joke there ! I would not them work on my bicycle there!! And not to mention what they did to my neighbors car , left the steering rack loose and no leaking !

Had a flat tire. Had to take it off the car due to other mechanical issues. We took the tire to this business shortly after 5 . Hours were listed on line and on the door til 6. Greeted kindly by a gentleman who said they actually closed at 5. He was friendly and said he didn’t have that size tire anyway. Although this was a longer trip to a chain tire shop 20 miles away, he was nice enough that I would give this shop another try . Customer service is very important. I like to support locally owned private businesses whenever possible.

The customer service here is second to none! Outstanding!!!! My wife and I rented a Budget Van and we're driving from Miami to Orlando. Apparently there were 2 nails in the right rear tire that started to leak, and it was getting worse. There was no way we were going to make the rest of our 2 hour trip. It was approximately 5:45 pm and we googled tire repair and the search result was "Automotive Point" - 12 minutes away from our current location and they close at 6 pm. We arrived a little after 6 pm and they were closed. However, the owners were still inside, came to the door, and without hesitation, said they would be happy to help. They were able to repair the tire in 15 minutes and the price was fantastic. This is how you run a business 👏. This was customer service at its finest. I highly recommend this business 👌. You will not be sorry.

My fiance and I caught a flat halfway to our destination and were able to stop here and be assisted immediately. We are not familiar with the area and were afraid of being stranded. We arrived at the shop and were helped within 5 minutes. Skylar helped us out and was fantastic. Incredibly kind people with their costumer’s best interest at heart. If you’re in a pickle these guys are trustworthy and will get you up and running. Thanks Skylar!!

So I was traveling across Florida and I had just had my tires replaced by a large company with terrible customer service. I get halfway back from St. Petersburg (heading to Jupiter) and my tire pressure comes on. I quickly search for local tire place and these guys answered right away and took me right away. They fixed the problem immediately and even took the time to educate me on how the problem could have happened. Please use these guys and support your local businesses always!

I travel quite a bit.. Have a company that brings me to many places... Made a mistake Saturday morning about 11 and put gas in my diesel truck.It's sputtered and shut off.I brought it to this mechanicnot knowing anything.He hasn't one diesel truck On his property, but he does know what he's doing. He stayed overtime to help me amazing exclamation. Markwe got the chalk back running and I am on my way to my next destination. Thank you so much, guys. God bless anybody who's reading this. Go to this mechaniche didn't even try to rip me off with a huge price. Because I was a now person. Or nothing or I was traveling, he was honest. That's honor... Hard to find.

Tom and the staff are the best. They brought Dad's 1985 Camaro IROC Z back to life, 305 TPI running like the day we brought Blu home over 39 years ago. Cannot thank them enough for their awesome service and extremely reasonable pricing, many parts even lifetime guaranteed. Will be using Tom as our go to guy!!!

This place is ripoff. 1st they broke the fusebox on my maxima.they replaced it but Foolish to go back with my van. Idle arms (100)$ and a few sleeves. 1500$!!! Go 2 Goodyear if stuck there

these people are beyond awsome. they really came through and went above and beyond for my situation to work. will be using them for all my tires and automotive work in the future. tom was super friendly informative and helpful.

So bad I asked them to do a 200$ job they said we will take care of it, I got a call saying my engine was blown. They didn't do no work to it not even the 200$ job I asked them to originally do. All they wanted was to try and fool two women and probably wanted us to leaving our vehicle there. Very disappointed

Very efficient at extracting nails and patching tires. Have been to them five times in the past couple years, and am still driving 300 miles/ week on these two plugged rear tires. Jobs consistently well done, fast and the lowest prices around.

Had a nail in my tire, brought it over and they had it all fixed up within 20 minutes. Joe (the boss) and his crew seem like the type of honest and hard working guys that are hard to come around these days!

This place is unique in the fact that they are all honest, personable, and a pleasure to work with. I got stuck with my Ford Expedition not starting, it was just Cranking over, and nothing just died right out of the blue. I was up from Fort Lauderdale visiting my brother-in-law and sister who lives in Lake Placid and luckily I broke down in there driveway. After calling in AAA my brother-in-law and the AAA tow truck driver both suggested we go to Automotive Point, and I'm so happy that we did. My vehicle and myself had some special needs, and working with Joe Clark at Automotive Point was truly an amazing experience and a pleasure. All I can say is that Joe is a A1-Mechanic, and a incredibly nice person to boot. Joe treated me like family!!! If I could give Joe and the whole Automotive Point Team 100 Stars I certainly would. If you ever find yourself stuck in Lake Placid, these are the guys you need to go see, or call. If you live in or near this area and you're not using these guys, all I can say is you're missing the boat. I highly suggest and recommend you go visit Joe and the Team for all your Automotive needs. I called to see if they had used tires in my size. I was told he needed to check and the phone was sat down. I listened to him have non business conversations with staff for 15 minutes. I gave up and hung up. The sad part is had he not had used in my size and the new were in my price range he would have made a sale. Lost a customer!

I was in Lake Placid on business. On the way back out of town my tire was flat. The employee quickly found the issue, a nail, took it out, plugged the tire, filled with air and in ten minutes was on my way home. Thank you!!

Third time here. So far the best tires at the best prices around lake placid. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed

Recently went on a trip to Lake Myrtle and my Nissan Xterra broke down in Lake Placid FL. I called AAA to tow me to an affiliate garage but it was going to take 4 hrs to get to me and I was like What?? I left my truck in the Plaza and searched for a garage in the area and came across these guys. The reviews were spot on. Joe Clark is an entertaining human being as he makes you feel welcome. He is straight forward and takes the time to explain the issue and what your options are. We were out of towners and he treated us like locals. I appreciate all he did for us and for his professionalism as well as his team. If you ever need work done, go to Joe. Knowledgeable and honest as hell, very rare these days. Joe thanks for everything... and if we head out there we will pass by to say hello.

WARNING..stay away Did an $1100.00 a.c repair on my wife car without her authorizing the repair she told the OWNER to just fix a key issue and gave her a bid for a/c work we could not afford the a/c work but he did it anyway and then tried to say it was his son that was confused... 2 yrs again a similar problem his wife gave use a verbal quote for $250.00 to do a fuel pump on my pick up when we arrived to pick it up he said it was $550.00 then argued with his wife saying she gave us the wrong price but still made us pay the $550.00 . i though it was a mistake then but now have figured out either they are that disorganize or it is a scam. very very sad that in times like this he has to resort to doing that to honest hard working people in or neighbor hood... BUT he is the one that has to answer to GOD.

Only got a oil change but was in and out in no time .. Price was comparable to other places I've been..except they treat you like a friend. not a number..I will go back to them again... 😊

Super friendly owner, fast service. Went in there because i had a nail in my tire. Was in and out in 5 mins. Definitely recommend. Update - Seriously best mechanic in lake placid. Went to good year on 27 first they had us come back and make an appt . Then they took all day to call us back to tell us what was wrong and to top it all off they wanted double of what automotive charged us. We took our car to automotive and were seen right away and told exactly what the problem was. They took there time to explain to us. The owner and his son are very hardworking people. Very trustworthy . Your car here is in good hands here

I told them my car was making a funny noise and what my hubby thought it was, the answer was bring it in and we'll take a look at it! Well, they immediately put it up on a lift, identified the problem and then recommended where we should take it for repairs! Thanks guys for taking such great care of us. We will see you in the future for maintenance!

My wife blew up the engine on a Hyundai Santa Fe and was towed to Automotive Point. The owner Joe took great care of us, diagnosed the issue quickly, and was really fair when we were figuring out best options on what to do with the car.

I was here evacuating from NC for Hurricane Florence when issues popped up. Nothing major, but they put it right on the lift and fixed it within the hour. Great guys and professional service. Thanks again for the great help guys.

Best mechanics in town! I almost gave up on my car because every shop I went to couldn't figure out the problem. I found this shop online so I called and they were very nice told me to bring my car in and within 30 mins they had the problem figured out. They had me in and out so quick and my car works great!
