Did a bed swap 2019-2024 F-250 Super Duty XL along with a bumper bolt up & taillight, reverse & brake light connection.
After payment & return of the truck the windows, power locks, a/c, or dash controls no longer work but they insinuated it didn't work before I brought it in it worked the same day I took it to them & always had & I also noticed the windows were down while they were working on it. Not to mention they broke the gas cap & this could have ended better. But there's more
I met Hardy in 1993 when I used to work near S & S. Since that time, I have gone to S & S for numerous different automotive related repairs and services. Hardy and his crew are awesome! I trust them with everything and know they will always do the best work at the best price. I live more than 30 miles away and the drive is absolutely worth it (or the tow they can also provide) just for the peace of mind that they know what they're doing and are honest and good people.
Be warned if using S&S. Took our family car there for a AC problem. S&S replaced a AC line for $1800. A few days later on a vacation out of state we broke down on the side of the road. Fuel was pouring all over the hot motor. After being towed into a local shop they found that S&S auto disconnected my fuel line to install the new AC line but never installed the clip that holds the fuel line on. After spending another $1000 to get back home I stop by S&S and spoke with the owner. Explained what has happened. Stated to me he will speak to the person who worked on my vehicle. After over a week I have heard nothing. Pretty much blowing me off. Not only almost killing myself and my family, they don’t even have the professional to call me back.
After further speaking with others, another customer had them work on their sports car and it burned to the ground the next day. With all this said I will seek legal action so this doesn’t happen to someone else and recover all the expenses due to their mistake.
We had 2 cars at once to service. They gave us the diagnostic after 5 and respectively 6 days.
I regret I haven't read the reviews earlier.
Our mechanic was in vacation.
When he looked he saw they never even bothered to check under the car, as screws were intact and harder to remove as not moved for a while.
So they only assumed what was wrong after what we told them.
The woman at the counter was terribly rude. First she addressed my husband with ' sweetheart' and ' sugar'.
When he asked if the mechanics are certain on one diagnostic in particular she became frantic, begun yelling, repeating that:" you have your diagnostic, if we say what is, that is". She became possessed by anger when I asked her about ' work WARRANTY'.
Few moments later, another redneck joined the agitated mumbling, so called conversation of the attendant. He started screaming basically, repeating same words as the woman.
We are so glad we didn't allow them to work on our cars. Their behaviour is unthinkable, but nothing to expect from rednecks that think that posting NAPA brand on the building would make them look classier and not the rip offs they really are:$5000 .
Please beware, the quotes are huge and unrealistic. Instead of changing the solenoids to my Chevy they wanted to replace the whole transmission.
Also, I noticed the poor work conditions, so expect zero from this shop.
A good trustworthy mechanic is hard to find, but you found it. New to the area and not knowing where to go I took my suv for an oil leak. Dropped it off Sunday night. They looked at it, told me the problem, the price, and they could have it Thursday afternoon. Well it was Friday but no big deal at all. They did just what they said for the very fair price they said (and rotated my tires for free because it took an extra day). Courtney is awesome. I highly recommend.
Update. Took another vehicle there. 5 stars. Good people there.
I drove my car there to get my fuel pump changed. They said my fuel pump was the wrong size so I told them to put the old one back in then my car won’t start. Take the car to someone else and they install it with no problem. S&S put my fuel pump in car wrong I’m glad I don’t smoke because if I did my car would have caught on fire from the gas fumes. Never again don’t take your car their it’s not safe

The front desk associate Courtney is extremely rude!!! My husband went in to have a tire patch and was asked to leave the premises for politely requesting an ETA on the service. Courtney became very irate and stated "you don't get to ask my employees questions, take your tire and leave". There were two other service men present at the time which she also spoke to very harshly. One appeared to be younger in age & the other man is deaf . Her behavior was disguisting & highly unwarranted, our lawyer will be in contact.
I have a very heavy duty vehicle that no other garage would work on because they don't have the equipment to lift it or the skill level needed to perform the repairs. I was driving home & started having a major breakdown. I pulled into this garage. I told them about the problem of trying to find a garage
to work on it. They said thet would. They basically rebuilt the whole front end. My truck has never run this smooth. Very professional garage
At first my experience was great. So when O needed a simple repair done again, I took my vehicle here. Well needless to say I dropped a vehicle that was running perfectly once their mechanic touched my vehicle for SIMPLE REPAIR, I received my vehicle back on a tow truck with a BLOWN ENGINE. Never Again will I trust to do any business with this establishment.
DO NOT GO HERE!! Spent $1476.97 for my air conditioning to be fixed. I left the lot and it was not fully working. Called scheduled to have them look at it. Mechanic comes in an hour later asking who put the compressor in and when told they did and less than a month ago he shook his head and walked out the door. 2 hours later I'm told the core needs fixed and that would be an additional $952.43. So I paid almost $1500 for nothing. Not only are they extremely slow they won't fix the problem and expect you to pay more. Not to mention SUV now makes a noise when running!!
Courtney was great and definitely understand the pressure I was understand not having my vehicle for 3 1/2 weeks. My transmission went out and waiting on the part. Finally got it back, then a few a weeks later I noticed liquid leaking, but didn't think much of it, the transmission went out again, Courtney updated me and stated their was a hole in the hose and transmission fluid leaked out quick fix. I noticed the guy jump my battery and I asked him was something wrong with the battery abd he stated he didn't know he had to jump it a few times, so I'm like what does that mean? So I Courtney to ask her did anyone tell her about jumping my car she said No and apologized that she will speak with the worker for not informing her of the issue. I get home and my vehicle won't crank up. It was stressful
Honestly after reading some of the one star reviews I believe those people aren’t fully telling the truth. I dropped my car off to S&S Automotive yesterday for a diagnostic test, they called me back this morning with the issue and what needed to be fixed on my vehicle! Courtney is seriously the sweetest person and genuinely wants to help me to get my car repaired and back on the road. The price that was given for parts and labor in my opinion was fantastic because I was so scared it was going to cost me an arm and leg to fix my car and that’s why I’m very hesitant on taking vehicles to automotive shops. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone! Very nice and respectful people work here. Thank y’all so much for your hard work and dedication!
I brought my car here for a detent cable on my transmission and to have a fuel line re run and fuel pump put in the gas tank. Told me a week to start on my car and didn’t do that. I had to keep call every week asking about my car and they still didn’t fix my car the right way! I’m still dealing with the same problem I paid 1481.97 for!!!! This is not the place for good quality work and will lie to your face and smile at the same time. They had my car ( 1990 caprice) from March 22,2021 to May 7,2021 for a fuel line and fuel pump. Tell me to bring it back to them for what??? You had enough time with it. Never go here for service again.
I have been a customer of S&S for about 13 years. Not only are they the most friendly and courteous people, but they are HONEST. I have never had to bring a vehicle back to them because the repair didn't resolve the problem. They fully warranty their work and honor that warranty with no problem. They are knowledgeable about insurance claims and worked with my carrier to assure that all necessary repairs were covered. I recommend them to all my family and friends. You can't go wrong with them.
I have been dealing with them for many years and now that my daughter is driving i trust them with her car as well. They always keep her safe and treat us like family. We are family a great add on addition. The customer service is amazing and their prices are very reasonable plus they have financing available. I had a bit of an emergency when filling up my gas tank at the station next door to S & S. The car immediately struggled and stalled on low RPM. It drove fine all morning so the immediate assumption was bad gas which requires dropping the gas tank, draining it and flushing the fuel lines.
The awesome mechanics at S & S found a disconnected vacuum hose, that by pure coincidence causes the same symptoms as bad gas. They found that the hose had wiggled loose over time. Instead of continuing costly work on the gas tank, they reattached the hose, ensured my gas was safe and engine was running perfectly again.
They sent me on my way, proud to call them my new mechanic shop. I won't trust my car to anyone else! Hardy and his team are amazingly kind people, wonderful to speak to and truly care about doing the right thing! I'd recommend them to anyone!
I recently went in with my sons first used car for a oil change and transmission job. The service was excellent, the representatives were attentive, professional, friendly and courteous. My son is delighted with the way that his car is running that he told me to stop what I was doing and write a review, now. Let me say my son is a teenager and teenagers normally take things for granted.

while traveling through Jacksonville from Massachusetts we started having AC trouble. We kept trying different places but everyone was too busy. I called S S auto and spoke with Christine ... she said “sure we will take a look”. Unbelievably nice staff who really cared about our lack of AC and the 98 degree temp outside.
They had us up and running in no time. Great crew and fair pricing!
S&S reminds me of the repair shop everyone took their car to back in the little town I grew up in. It’s not because it was the only shop, it’s because the folks at that shop were friendly, there to help, fixed what needed fixing, did it right and charged a fair price for the work. They were definitely there for us when we showed up at their door with a huge problem that had my wife and I stranded as we were passing through from Atlanta to Cape Canaveral on our motorcycle. It would have been easy to say, drop it off and we’ll have it done tomorrow… but they jumped-in with both feet, had parts delivered, repairs made and we were on our way in just a little over two-hours. Thank you, thank you, thank you…. I’d love to have a shop like S&S in our town!
My boss sent me up here and these guys were a pleasure to do business with. Very knowledgeable staff and very friendly as well. Got my truck fixed in the same day and even offered me a ride to where I needed to go. Will definitely do business with them in the future again.
I have used S and S several times and have no complaints about them only the very best to say about Hardy and those he manages. Hardy is very meticulous about diagnosing and making sure things are fixed right the first time. He calls promptly when a new problem arises and explains everything to me very patiently until I understand what happened with my vehicle. The staff and crew treats you like family. Even though I do not live nearby, I plan my trips to Jacksonville so they can work on all my vehicles, tail lights, expensive rear view mirrors and everything in between.

Was driving through Jacksonville on I95 from Savannah GA headed to Destin FL when one of the trailer tires studs sheared off and I lost a wheel. I was towed to SS by Jimmy’s Towing and was seen promptly at 8am by Hardy and his crew. Even though they normally do not do trailer repairs they tracked down the parts needed, which was not an easy feat, and even returned and reordered parts when the wrong ones came in. The customer service was top notch and sitting there all day I got to see first hand how hard all of the crew and customer service people work. They were constantly having people pop in or call and accommodated everyone they could. They got me back on the road and the cost of the repair was very very reasonable. No price gouging and were very concerned that I still had 300 miles on my trip. Even loaded the boat back on my vehicle for me. Would recommend them for all your auto repair needs. NAPA parts certified and trust me, I saw first hand how they will return a part in a heartbeat if it is not top notch. Definitely 5 star service for me.

My trail blazer broke down Sunday, S&S towed my vehicle Sunday and had me back in my car Monday when I got off work. They had to replace my trainee and knew I only had the one car and got me back on the road within a day. After my new trainee was put in, my car runs great. I will always take my vehicles to them, they definitely care about they're customers and really go out the way to accommodate customers needs. They always do quality work at a good price. We are car guys and we put the motor in the s10 truck and had him spray it. He also repaired the hood, fenders front bumper guard on my uncle's Toyota Avalon. ALL GOOD WORK ALL GOOD PRICE
