They replaced the 5.4L engine in my 2005 Ford F-150. They did the work in less than a week. The mechanics and owners are the most qualified in all of North Florida. The workmanship they performed is priceless. If you have an older vehicle with a blown engine it's cheaper to replace it at C and L than to buy a new vehicle. They deserve 10 stars.
On Thursday of last week, I had one of the worst things that can happen, a blowout flat tire during rush hour. Luckily I broke down right in front of C&L Automotive. I went inside to ask for help changing my tire..the lugs were air gun tight and I had trouble getting them off. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and friendly. I wish I could remember everyone’s name, but Chuck the manager was very gracious. He refused to charge me, as he was happy to keep my day from getting any worse. He did at my request allow me to give the technician who helped me lunch money for the next day.
Their kindness and respect was a breath of fresh air. It reminded me of how I was taught to treat customers at my first job which ironically was at a gas station.

Chuck and his wife Lisa are amazing! I met them at work and had my charm to them within a week. They gave me the best price on an ac repair, and fixed a mechanical issue that was caused by someone else. Amazing people who do even better work. Would recommend to anyone.

Brought my husband’s truck because his power steering went out. Lisa and Chuck were wonderful to work with!! They go out of their way to find the part you need and are great are getting your vehicle repaired and back to you as quickly as they can. Exceptional service and work performed!!!
I brought my 1996 ford econoline here on a friends recommendation. I asked them to go through the vehicle with a fine tooth comb, 360 inspection because I had just bought the vehicle and wanted to make sure everything was perfect with it. I saw visible leaks (another reason for the inspection), when I went to pick the vehicle up, the owner said, “it’s mechanically perfect, no leaks”. The van stalled out on me going in reverse a week later. I called them and complained. They said, they would check it out “for free” again as if THEY were doing me a favor. They charged $700 for fixing a tensioner and resealing the pumpkin, which I thought was really high (especially after already having brought the vehicle there another time).
I took a trip to Virginia right after the vehicle was “inspected” and “fixed”. The blower motor fried, the van also stalled again.
Lastly, it has not even been six months since repairing the tensioner and the serpentine belt just snapped today. I don’t even drive this thing that often.
0/10 would not recommend this shop as it is clear to me they will charge great prices for subpar work.
This is the worst business ever I work next door so I took my truck over to get struts put on had my own parts was quoted a price of 250.00 for labor upon removal of the struts there was damage to the part that holds the struts they gave me a call and explained it to me and said it would be an additional 230.00 and that it wouldn’t be finished until the following day. I agreed 230.00 +250.00 . I went over to remove some items from the truck and noticed coolant on the floor the mechanic and I discussed a pressure test and I told him I would fix it myself because it was only a hose. The next day they called me to tell me my truck was done. I went to pick it up and pay and was charged 800.00 and was told oh since your paying cash it’ll be 700.00 they also included a axle replacement in the 230.00 and 250.00 a axel that I had just replaced 4 months prior. I got ripped off and when I complained the guy at the desk asked me did I want them to put the old hose back on and charge me for the pressure test instead. I told him no because I felt the tension and didn’t want them to do anything to my truck. He told me there hourly rate was 130.00 an hour. The hose is a quick connect no way it took 2 hours to do. This is a rip off I would never do business with this place…
Chuck and Linda are a breath of fresh air as I'm 63 yrs old and most businesses are not so much that way they are friendly and very knowledgeable in a lot of auto needs .Chuck installed a Demco brake device on my 2022 Chevy Spark which required a lot of knowledge and skill to install this on your vehicle. He and his son worked on my car they did a very professional job and I was very impressed with there workmanship.They are reasonable priced and the work was done in a timely manner and finished as promised I would highly recommend C&L Automotive to anyone who has any automotive needs as they are the one who can solve your automotive needs. I received a truck that was completely scratched, with a brake light that doesn’t turn on, missing furniture pads. They told me I wouldn’t be hassled when I dropped it off.
I got charged $85.00 by this place because the fuel was slightly below the F for full.
They didn’t call me, just charged it and said they charge $10 per gallon. There was no way they needed 8+ gallons on this tank.
They don’t really do business in an upstanding way, I wouldn’t take my car here and expect them to do thousands of dollars of work without overcharging for something based on my experience.
Every time I bring my car in to C&L they really take care of all my car needs. I just brought in to get an oil change and a panel looked at and also my check engine light popped on. There Team did a great job. Happy car happy customer. This is the place to stop in if you need just an oil change or some work done to your vehicles. Lisa & Chuck always friendly and take care of you and your vehicles. Nice sitting area we you can just relax,read or use your phone,laptop or tablet until car,truck or bike is ready. Decent work, friendly and honest staff that will try to help you whatever way they can. But high priced service. First time in my life I ever paid over $50 for a conventional oil change, among other things that were quoted fairly higher than other shops.

This review is worth the read....Went in for a suspected leaking water pump, and Chuck was the most professional and kind hearted individual. He turned an awful day better with how he accommodated working on my car, and fitting me in immediately in the middle of the day on a Friday. I had to go back to work, but they made sure my car was done in less than 3 hours, and called me before charging me anything to go over everything that was going on with my car. Being a newbie to Jacksonville, i will tell all of my friends and family about C&L and Chuck, and will be bringing my car here with any issues.
Wow! Most impressed! I was looking to have my 2015 Infinity QX-60 OEM headlights updated to LED and searched around online. I found C & L Automotive who claimed to do this type work, but so did a lot of other places. I called and was most impressed with Chris who was very knowledgeable and said he'd like to inspect my vehicle to verify that the upgrade was doable. After verifying that it was and giving me an estimate we set up an appointment to do the install.
C & L's location is very clean and the staff extremely professional.
In less than 90 minutes and at what I consider a reasonable cost, I now have a fully LED equipped SUV with much brighter and safer!
C & L does all types of automotive repair and upgrades and I plan to make them my regular go to automotive service provider as my car ages.

We rented a Penske Moving Truck from them and it was a very pleasant experience. I was having a hard time even finding a moving truck and they called back and stated they had one! The fact that they called back was awesome in itself but then the quality of the customer service was out of this world! They were beyond helpful, was a great deal and they were just pleasant to speak to, Thank you Ms. Tracy! The facility was sparkling clean, kind people with excellent manners! Came in just for a Fog-Lights Installation
Came out with the Front-Bumper scratched and the Fog-Lights scratched
He stated he did not scratch it, but the scratches were on the same side and less than 1 inch from each other.
Don't recommend this place, now I have to go to a body-shop so they can fix what this place messed up. Waste of money!
I could not be more happy with their service ! We brought in a 1999 Jeep with a couple of problems, and they went above and beyond to help us out. Extremely nice and honest guys... which is usually very had to come by, especially in the auto mechanic industry. I highly highly recommend this place, they will not let you down ! Also, if you stop by during the weekends you may be lucky enough to run into their shop dog sam !! literally left the shop wanting to hug the owner ! you will not be disappointed
