Called 2 days In a row and the man literally turned away service and then referred me 2 days in a row to Adkins towing guess he didn't want 170 bucks to take a running car with no damage 15 mins back to my house goodl luck to those in need of a tow and don't use Adkins towing horrible experience over priced they just have some random dudes that can't drive 10 feet without their phone lost without it
They did me a good service at a good price for what I needed! Jeep overheated, and they gave me a reasonable price to tow it to my mechanic shop at happy trails 4x4 the best in the mothern Florida area for jeeps . 10/10 for the towing experience
Great customer service and great drivers. In a situation where AAAs tow trucks couldn’t figure out how to load our broken down car, Allen’s had no issues and were there immediately. 10/10 would recommend if you need towing service in Jax.

This is THE BEST towing company. After a HORRIBLE day of sitting on the side of the road dealing with my insurance company sending multiple towing companies to assist me from 830am to 500pm to no avail, and a meltdown, I decided to call Allen's Towing and pay out of pocket. The dispatcher Brandy was the kindest and most understanding, she listened to the situation and assured me they would be able to help me. While waiting for the driver to arrive, she kept me informed of his location and when to expect him. The driver called me when he was close. When he arrived- Nate was very professional and friendly. He immediately got to moving my car onto his flatbed truck and handled it without a problem. (3 other companies said this could not be done and left me earlier in the day after waiting hours for each one.) I paid out of pocket and they charged me a VERY reasonable rate especially being it was about 50 miles and after-hours. I will never call another towing company if I ever need one again. Allen's Towing will be my first call.
Worst experience. Called around at 10 am for towing my car. Provided the details including pick up and drop off. They even provided an estimate of 120$ and told me it will take 2-3 hours and they will call me when they are ready. Waited for 3 hours and called them back around at 1:30 since never heard anything from them. To my Suprise, the lady who answered my phone said that i never called before. Waste of time. Avoid them.
Good service is so hard to find right now. I found it today! The front desk was super helpful and told me exactly when to expect help. It was totally accurate. Nate got out here and did some troubleshooting. He was able to tell me the problem and save me a lot of cash, and more importantly, a lot of hassle today. I will NEVER call anyone else for this type of service. Thank you!
Technicians beware! I wish I could rate lower than 1 star. I hired this company to transport my Matco triple bank with hutch. The drive tightened it down so tight the hutch bent. Now I can barely open it and it won’t lock. I’ve tried several times to contact them and left messages for the owner Carl. He has never returned my call, the one time I got him on the phone he said he was in a meeting and would call me back. That was over two months ago… I’m still waiting. I just wanted them to make the situation right being as they damaged my box. Potential customers beware, they may damage your property and take absolutely no ownership.
My son was involved in an accident this morning. Called Allen’s towing they were there within 15 minutes bringing the car to where I wanted it to go.

Towing tech was very nice, kept me updated with ETA’s, but when it came time to pay, the person at dispatch who needed to take my card info would not respond to the tech’s calls. It took 15-20 minutes until he finally responded so that I could pay.
This company towed my freighliner fld day cab for less than 3 miles, and I was charged $400. I will never contact this company again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Called a few places for a midday tow on a Friday, Allen's had the fastest driver response time so I went with them. I was told that a driver would be available in 60-90 mins, he showed up in under 30mins. Luck of the draw as he was nearby after a drop off.
Customer service over the phone was 5 star. Driver (Dillon) was 5 star. Price quoted was the price charged, 5 star for that too.
Overall I have nothing bad to say about this transaction with this business.
Not the most polite phone etiquette. I could forgive that if they didn’t charge me twice for a tow of less than 3 miles. Not happy. Have already filed a dispute with the bank. Will not be using them in the future should I need another tow, and will not recommend them.
Worst wrecker service I have ever encountered. Slow, unprofessional, rude and lazy. Pointless in calling them…they NEVER show up! We use them for towing cars out of a private lot and they don’t show up for any of the calls. If I could leave less than 1 star I definitely would.
Called said a wrecker would be out to us in 1-1 1/2 hours or less. After 2 hours no wrecker so I called and was told it hadn't been dispatched yet. I inform the lady as to what I had been told 2 hours before, she puts me on hold comes back and says a wrecker will be to me shortly. I then ask what is shortly, puts me on hold again comes back and says 30 minutes. After 50 minutes still nothing, I call back get another lady, I ask about the wrecker she tells me it hasn't been dispatched I then tell her of the previous call and she snaps back well you didn't talk to me. Then she tells me the wrecker is leaving the yard, I ask where from she says Jacksonville. I then ask where from in Jacksonville? She says south of town. So since its its been just over 3 hours we decide to pull the truck ourselves since my 82 year old father has been sitting in the heat all this time. Just after we get the truck home and almost an hour after the last call the wrecker driver called saying he was trying to find us. Told him never mind we pulled it ourselves since we didn't know if they would show or not.

Tell the customer a longer time and show up early, don't tell them a time there is no way you can make. If a problem arises and you can't make it in the stated time call the customer...its called customer service!!!
I was frantically trying to find a tow company at 3 am for my son who spun out on a wet road and broke the axle. I called multiple companies and they either didn't answer or were ridiculously expensive. I called Allen's at the recommendation of someone who had stopped to check on my son to see if he was ok before I got there. They picked up right away and we're there within an hour. Super reasonable prices!! Courteous and friendly driver and dispatcher... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Our company uses Allen's towing whenever needed for our fleet vehicles and we always receive prompt, professional and courteous service. So, when my personal vehicle broke down, and after waiting almost 24 hours for my insurance tow service (who never showed and left my car stranded overnight after calling them at noon), I called Allen's Towing. Within an hour the driver called me, kept me informed throughout the process, and towed my car to its destination quickly and professionally. And to top it off, he was so courteous it caught me off guard...customer service is so rare these days. And the fee was extremely reasonable. THANK YOU ALLEN'S TOWING AND MR. NATE FOR COMING TO MY CAR'S RESCUE AND MAKING ME FEEL BETTER AFTER SUCH A ROUGH DAY!
We Paid for moving a shed even though we lost the shed and a air conditioner due to not being properly strapped down. And had to pay at the dump to discard the shed that was destroyed. I called the office and they were supposed to email me a receipt and the insurance information but yet to hear back from them. You sent an email to a email address that is not mine .My husband has called several times and still have not heard from anyone. I also replied to the email that you sent me after the review, Please don’t try to put the blame on us as we are the one that is out of money and a shed. And have been trying to contact you.
On July 1st 2021, around 4PM I was driving in Jacksonville, Fl. I was turning around in a parking lot and ran over a nasty pothole. I immediately sensed that my tire may have been damaged and within a minute or so my tire pressure collapsed from about 38 to 18. I immediately pulled into a Burger King parking lot.
I was unable to turn the lug nuts with the wrench provided in the spare tire kit and asked a stranger at a gas station to help. He as well was unable to get any grip on the lug nuts. I called the Ford Roadside assistant number around 5PM. They then told me that someone would be out to help me.
Well after an hour, two young men with a local roadside service arrived. They were driving a regular compact SUV, that looked like their own personal car. They were unable to get the nuts off with the four-pronged lug nut wrench they had and ended up stripping the lug nuts.
I then called Ford Roadside again and asked for someone to come by who was more competent and to provide a compressor gun. The “manager” came by this time at around 7:20PM driving in a very old sedan, definitely his own car, that had the entire front end of the car smashed in. He then told me that he could not get the lug nuts off, using just the same lug nut wrench the other guy used.
I called Allen's to get me to a tire place before it would close at 8:30. The towing guy named Nate looked at the tire and then was able to get the lug nuts off with very little trouble.
He decided to just charge me $65 and not the $125 that I was prepared to pay. Also, by getting my tire changed, he saved me over $100 with the Lyft fee I would had to take to get back to St. Augustine and again to Jax the next day.
I found out the next day that my tire was actually covered under a warranty because I had just bought it. If Nate had just towed my car, I would have paid $225, which is the estimate the tire guy gave me that I was going to take it to. Nate's actions ended up saving me close to $400. He actually did more work than he would have done just towing my car. He also got two lug nuts from the tow yard lot to replace the ones that were stripped.
I fully recommend Allen's Towing and appreciate all that Nate did to get me out of a difficult situation and save me a lot of money.
Mike was there to pick up the phone immediately when I called in the early AM and was very helpful When Geico and all the other companies were nowhere to be found. Cody was the tow truck driver that was sent. Solid dude. Went above and beyond to help me in my time of need. Appreciate it man. Paul sent over a reciept right when I asked. They made the stressful situation much better and I'm grateful fellas. Thanks! Highly recommend! Call them now!
Arthur was very punctual and pleasant, I was amazed that he was able to jump start the battery as I couldn't do it with another vehicle. The high powered jump box did the trick, it was not necessary to tow the vehicle. I was able to drive it to the repair shop. I'm very pleased with Allen's Towing Service.
Even though we were towed by Target from their store on Southside, and even though we weren't given access to our vehicle although it was a request made by JSO to Allen's, I still give them 4 stars because the customer service was excellent. Once they realized their mistake in not allowing JSO access when requested, they compensated us for holding our vehicle one day longer needed. And they did it with a smile and apologized fir their mistake.
But EVERYONE we dealt with was nice, helpful and genuine. They made an unpleasant experience somehow not so unpleasant.
Allen’s has been a staple in Jax for years! There is a reason they have been around! The service is great. I was told 1 to 2 hours and it was less than one hour! The guy who dropped off the car was polite, and put the car exactly where I wanted it. I can’t say anything more because it was perfect! And it did not kill my wallet! Shop local, and live local!
Our RV broke down on Interstate 95 and our RV club sent Allen's Towing Service. They arrived fairly quickly especially since it was on a Sunday and got us off the interstate. The driver arrived with a truck big enough to handle the job and was extremely professional. He took us to a repair facility in Jacksonville and helped us get into a safe area to park for the night so we could get a replacement tire the following morning. We were extremely pleased with him as he was friendly, competent, and knew how to handle our over sized vehicle. Great service.
They were really quick showing up and helped us trouble shoot a dilemma in getting our car safely on the truck, (we were missing the special hook that Mercedes Benz gives you for towing). Jeff was very gentle and the worst case scenario, tie rods bent, did not happen. Highly reccomend.
Horrible service !!!! We were told it would take two hours to get our son’s car towed to our house 10 hours later the car was still on interstate 295.... when asked why they hadn’t towed the car they stated the request was lost.. unbelievable especially when our sent us the confirmation. If you want poor service and incompetence then come here. If your insurance company provides you with this company, tell them no and please get another tow company, it’s your right!!!
