They did an excellent job on our 2016 Rav4. The entire process was smooth. From estimate to completion, they are professional, yet friendly, making sure we understood everything. They kept us informed throughout the process and the car was finished ahead of schedule. They interacted with insurance and rental car companies to make everything easy. We are especially impressed with how perfectly the paint matches the older parts of the car. They also have a lifetime warranty on their work. Thanks to all at Hertrich Collision Center in Millsboro!

Jamie did an amazing job of keeping me informed. They did an amazing job of getting my vehicle done a week sooner than the original estimate was. No stress no problems. Everything went smooth smoothly and the vehicle looks awesome.

My repair story. One week after leaving my car for front end repair, I recieved a call informing me that my car had more extensive repair needs and that my insurance co. was getting the updated information, my repair would be delayed. I recieved word from my insurance co. the additional repair was approved, with an estimated quote increase over $7,000. Two weeks later I called for an update and was told work was in progress, it should be ready next week. I called the following week and they told me their technitions were making final assesments, it should be ready for pick-up the next day. My husband and I arrived the day the following day and found the hood was not fitted properly (there was a gap) and 2 small knicks in my paint were found seemingly convered with something black. They denied the knicks, saying they take pictures, but they were unable to produced the pictures. My car went back to the garage for about 15 minutes and the hood was in correct position. A few days past, I'm driving at night and my headlights are pointing downward. I called the next dasy, no problem, bring it back in. After 15 minutes, the headlights were adjusted. Now my it seems my highbeams are on, people flash their lights at night when I'm driving. About 2 weeks later, while parking at the food store, I skimmed the front end on the curb and when I backed out, I heard an aweful crunching sound. Plastic bolts in my spoiler where found on the ground, my front passenger panel had pulled from the wheel well, and the headlight frame and popped out of place. I couldn't believe what I saw. Next day I bring the car back, and they will not take ownership of poor workmenshp that lead to this new dismanteling of my front end. They gave me a quote for over $600 to repair it. I've been driving over 30 years and have occassionaly skimmed the top of a curb and NEVER had my front end come apart. After sharing my story with my hairdresser, she had similar ex

The performance of Hertrich Collision Center of Millsboro for vehicle repair service on my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee was by far the best experience I have ever had. In every way possible, the staff at Hertrich made the entire process simple and easy. The men at the front desk were completely on top of things, extremely knowledgeable and at all times (both on the phone and in person) courteous, friendly and eager to assist with any questions I had. My vehicle was repaired far ahead of my expectations, the body work was pristine and the car was was returned very clean especially the interior on the driver's side which as we all know can be left very messy after typical service and maintenance visits. The coordination between Hertrich and Enterprise of Dagsboro for a rental car can best be described as "Hands Free"- easiest one of my life. When I dropped my car off at Hertrich they called Enterprise and the rental appeared. When I picked up my car I left the rental at Hertrich Collision and walked away. After picking up my car I had a minor glitch with the blind spot sensors on the rear bumper. When I returned to Hertrich and explained what I was seeing the gents at the front desk had a very good idea about what the cause might be. I returned the following morning with my coffee and in about an hour the issue was resolved. Needing collision repairs is never something most people look forward to but I have to say, its extremely comforting to know that should the need arise in the future, a repair facility of such high caliber is there to help.

Friendly staff. The 9 month old vehicle had been keyed on the passenger side. The body shop technician(s) did a great job. Can not tell where the large scratch was.

Our trailer broke down at the entrance of this business. Rick came out in the middle of his lunch to lift and rebolt our trailer, he wouldn't accept payment, tip or lunch. He ensured our safe passage and only took our verbal thanks. We are so thankful for Rick and the wonderful people at Hertrich's for seeing to our need; if ever anyone we know is in need of repair, this is the place we'll send them to.

Pathetic customer service, had my car for two weeks for what most say was minor repairs & damage but after two weeks they said they had to take the fender apart before they could order parts and repair, I disabled and can no longer work and we needed a rental car to get us by this afternoon they called to tell me it would be another week before it would be ready provided they get the parts. Apparently the technician who was assigned to work on my care was out sick which caused the delay. Sorry he was sick but why was it okay to not give the job to another technician and make us pay for an a additional week of rental. My question is who if anyone is watching the employees and work schedule on their customers cars. WOW our country is going to the dogs far too much incompetence in many businesses now you nolonger can count on anyone to do the job honestly . Could be in partnership with the car rental company. Just saying!made a big mistake and I was warned. A friend said if they tell you 3 days you should expect 3 weeks well they wear correct. Sad but true never again. 1 star is a gift

A great location near our home, however, lack of professionalism and customer service created this low review. Initially, we were given a possible two week time frame for repair, however, it took over 30 days for completion! It was the threat of contacting Corporate before we got answers and a completed job! But why? Perhaps the techs were not familiar with servicing our vehicle and if so, we should have been told, as opposed to given the run around. Never again, we will go to the dealer for repairs. It was an absolute nightmare!

Said 4 days to complete, now over two weeks and just told another 2 weeks. Also $3500 more than original estimate. A 5mph collision with 0 damage to the other car rear end. Consumer beware.

Great Quality of work. Just since the pandemic everything is pushed back because of the part companies take months to get the parts. Great people at Hertich. I would never want anyone else to touch me vehicles.

I had a car accident and needed repairs to the passenger door on drivers side. I dropped my car off on March 23rd and was told by Justine that my car would be ready within 2-1/2 weeks and my car was completed in two weeks. My car looked like when I purchased it 2 years ago brand new. The repairs they did were exemplary. They washed my car and cleaned the inside. I could not be more happier with the workmanship cometed on my 2019 Chevy Traxx. I want to say Justine at the front desk is extremely helpful and professional when addressing any of my questions. I highly recommend using Hertrich Collision.

Dropped car off at collision center that is now owned by Hertrich to have some minor work done when a deer ran into my passenger side front fender. The body work that was done was amazing so no complaints there, however, when I went to start the car it hesitated and a few miles down the road my glow plug light went on and shortly thereafter my check engine light went on. This is the first time this has ever happened. Went back and they ran a check and said this was not part of the accident. Obviously something happened while the techs were working on my car. Very disappointed that i now have to take it to the dealership to be fixed again.

I went in for an estimate, and a week later the insurance company contacted me saying I had missed my appointment. I called Hertrich to asked them if they had contacted my insurance company with estimate and they said they would get back with me and no one followed up. I will now have to schedule another appointment with a different company so that I can get my car fixed. The initial appointment was pleasant and fast but than someone dropped the ball. What would you do? I will give them two stars to at least give them credit for the initial meet and greet, but can't recommend them if nothing else happened after that. I think that's fair.

Where do I even begin? Horrible, horrible, horrible. This is the worst experience I have ever had in any shop whatsoever. I needed a simple bumper repair, it took 10 days to complete after lies and lies about when it would be ready. I dropped it off on a Sunday night. Tuesday I called for an ETA. They said they were awaiting a part (a $9.76 headlight bracket). They said it would be there Wednesday. No luck. Then Thursday they said it would come. "Your car will be ready today or tomorrow!". Called them Friday morning and they informed me my car was in the "re-assembly process". Got a call back later that afternoon apologizing that my car won't be ready until Monday. Not happy about that whatsoever. How can you "re-assemble" a car that is missing a part? They were blaming this headlight bracket on the work not being done. Next Monday rolls around and no luck. At this point, I'm fed up. On Tuesday I ask them if I can just buy the part myself from a dealership and they say yes. Wednesday I drive all the way to Salisbury (borrowing someone else's car at an extreme inconvenience to us) and I drop the part off at 3 pm. No offer to get it done as soon as possible even though I've been without my vehicle for nearly two weeks. I call this morning and ask for an update. They erroneously tell me my car is at the dealership getting an alignment. They corrected themselves and said they were looking at the wrong vehicle but then said "But that would be good though, that's the last step". When I dropped off the past yesterday, they told me it would be ready yesterday afternoon or today. However today I was told "It's being re-assembled but it won't be ready for pickup". I lost my cool, this was getting completely ridiculous. After a conversation with the manager suddenly they said out of nowhere I can pick it up now. If it was immediately ready after I complained, what on earth was I waiting for yesterday and today when I physically gave them the part? After all this, here is the summary: - Extremely poor communication. No apologies whatsoever and very poor explanations. - They offered the cost of the part off of my deductible. It was $9.76 off of my $500 deductible. Nothing else offered to compensate for this utter ridiculousness. - They blamed my insurance for needing OEM parts to complete the repair and took no responsibility whatsoever. - Not even a simple "thank you" for getting the part they need to complete the job I am paying them for. - Constant lies and changing information that's inconsistent - They switched from "Rickards" to "Hertrich" while my car was in the shop and gave no warning whatsoever (not to mention NO APOLOGY) This place just plain sucks. Please go anywhere else.

My car was severely damaged by highway debris. They coordinated with my insurance and got the repairs done that I needed. The staff was friendly and courteous. My car hasn’t looked this good in years! Highly recommended. And if anything happens to my car again I would go back in a heartbeat.

Bottomline up-front (read further for details of this rating!): 2 stars out of 5 Pros: 1. Solid reputation for good work. 2. Good location, adequate parking and nice customer waiting area. 3. Friendly counter staff. Cons: 1. Pricey: expect to pay a premium for repairs done here. 2. No discounts of any kind: Military and First-responders pay the same as everyone else. 3. No negotiating on price. Estimator’s word is not to be challenged. Price is what it is, if you don’t like it go elsewhere, they’ve got plenty of other business (and they let you know it). 4. Poor customer service. A problem at the time of pick-up became confrontational; the Store Manager blamed the customer for a dead battery on brand-new 2020 Dodge. Only 1K miles on the car and the Manager insisted that customer’s “accessories” (radar detector and dashcam) were at fault. Details of this rating: My Dodge had a 3-inch gash in the hood and the rear bumper had two 4-inch scratch lines. Estimator told me they’d have to remove and repaint the hood and remove and repaint the back bumper fascia. Total estimate was just south of $2000. Yes, you read that right, $2K. The car was with them for a week. When I went to pick it up, I immediately noticed that the front seat adjustment motor wasn’t working, then when trying to start the car I got all kinds of flashing lights on the dash, but no engine turn-over, just the dreaded click-click. Out comes their Tech with a jumper battery – no dice, the engine cranks over but doesn’t start, dash starts flashing error codes, check-engine, you name it. I knew immediately that this meant that the car’s battery was so dead that it wouldn’t hold any charge; Tech agrees. I call for the Manager. The Manager comes out and I tell him that I’d like them to replace the battery because they drained it to the point where it could no longer hold a charge. The Manager didn’t disagree, but said that the problem was because of “Your [my] accessories drawing power while they were working on your car.. they killed your battery..” I replied “Bottom-line is that I brought you in a nearly new, fully-working car with only 1,200 miles on it, and now you want me to take the blame for it not working?” He ponders that and replies ”OK well I can get you a new battery at our cost..” Well I know enough about this car to know that a new battery was going to cost somewhere north of $200 so I said “No, you broke it, you fix it..” The Manager replies “I don’t know where I can get a battery for this car anyway..” I point to an AutoZone less than 200 yards away and he says “Oh, no, you don’t want to go there..” "OK," I say "but the Dodge dealership that I bought the car from is only 1 mile north of where we are standing." Finally, I get frustrated at being blamed for a problem that I didn’t create and I looked at him and said “Listen, I write reviews for Google Reviews and I guarantee you that if this is not resolved to my satisfaction you’re going to be reading about it..” And then, as if the mathematical light of potential lost-profit went on in his head, his ENTIRE demeanor immediately changed, suddenly I was his best-friend, miraculously he claimed “I can have the new battery here in 10 minutes, no charge and we’ll install it for free..” And so I trekked back to the waiting room to wait.. About 30 minutes later the Manager pulls my car around and hands me the keys.. “Sorry about that..” and all. I go to pull out and immediately notice that the backup camera no longer works. The Manager sees me struggling “What’s wrong..?” I explain the new problem, no doubt caused by a total battery failure. Now they’d have to take the car up to the Dodge dealer and have them fix it and “If there’s any charge we’ll cover it, but being such a new car this should be covered under warranty..” All tolled, I spent over 3.5 hours at a body shop which didn’t even make any offer of a rental vehicle; when I later asked the counter staff about a loaner I was told, with a grin “We only have wrecked cars..” My advice: Go somewhere, anywhere else.

This was the recommended shop through the insurance claim and I completely understand why. The customer service was exceptional. The body work and painting done to my car was done beautifully. My car now looks brand new, you would never believe that it was in an accident. I would 100% recommend this shop, I had a wonderful experience with them!

If I could give them a 1/2 I would. I took my car in for an estimate or repairs in Dec 2019. Provided them a significant amount of down payment at the time. I waited 6 weeks to get the car repaired. 3 days before it was due into the shop, I get a call saying the manager did not feel comfortable in making the repair. It could get too complicated. I am waiting for my refund now but, would advise that, unless you have a simple repair, take your car to the dealer to get it repaired.

Our vehicle was taken there after being involved in a three car accident. Everyone we dealt with were extremely nice and professional in how they explained the whole process with us. Unfortunately, our vehicle ended up being a total loss. I would definitely recommend using Rickards if you you want a pleasant experience during what can be a stressful and difficult time.

After hitting a deer my hubby took his truck there for repairs. They were very professional and did everything the estimate stated. Their timing was as promised. We were greeted in a friendly manner. I highly recommend this place just as Geico did.
