I had my car towed during a snow parking ban and was charged $250 cash only with no option to pay by card. Being told to come up with that amount in one day during a snowstorm is unreasonable and outdated. On top of that, the staff had a very rude and unprofessional attitude. The whole experience felt predatory and poorly handled. I understand towing is part of their job, but the way customers are treated and the lack of basic payment options is unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company.

Absolutely disgusting service. They charged me $250 for a snow tow and offered no payment options — no card, just cash. How is anyone supposed to prepare that in one day during a snowstorm? Absolutely ridiculous. The staff had a terrible attitude. The police department should stop working with these corrupt people, and this company should be sued.

I am very pleased with how Brian Bruneau handled an unfortunate incident that happened when my Toyota was towed by one of his tow truck drivers back in September. When Brian became aware of the situation he quickly accepted full responsibility, and took measures to compensate me for what I had to pay out of pocket for a mistake that clearly was not our fault. He was gracious and understanding, and for that I am very appreciative.

Update: Still a 5/5 stars from me! I have relied on Bruneau's for a number of other things, including suspension work, replacement of an engine knock sensor, oil changes, and a drain and fill of transmission fluid. They are keeping my 237,000 mile Accord running strong, and with their help, I hope to get it over 300,000 miles. I can not recommend them enough. They are also TechNet and AAA certified, so don't just take my word for it - they are well vetted by the leading industry experts. I highly recommend Bruneau's Garage. After a dealership looked at my 2007 Honda Accord and gave me a laundry list of services it claimed needed to be done that far exceeded the car's value, I had Bruneau's Garage give me a second opinion, and, it turns out, I only needed new brake pads in the front and to fix a radiator leak. Bruneau's Garage saved me a ton of money and also saved me the headache thinking I was needing to scrap my car. I will only be returning to Bruneau's as long as I am living in Connecticut.

All I'm going to say is these guys freaking ROCK!! Personally I thought all was lost, just bought a RV and it conked out on me on i-95 around 6:37am. Don't know how I ended up calling them but I'm so blessed that I did. Great staff, good customer service, and they know what their doing. 3 hours later and it was fixed. Now I'm heading back to Jersey. My advice..if you want it done right, give these guys a call. Good price. Great job, good coffee and excellent music selection. I give them 10 stars. EASY!!

This past Friday I was at Bruneaus garage for Hi rail training put on by cranes 101. The shop had tables and chairs set up, they brought in Dunkin’ in the am and pizza for lunch. Bruneaus owner, and a hand full of employees attended the class that was an all day event. They clearly care about safety and worker retention. The owner could have said “I don’t need this” and stayed away yet he sat through and participated in the class. The entire shop staff was top class. As a shop owner myself it was nice to see how they do things. I was highly impressed with their operation, their flow of work in and out of bays. How clean they kept it, the other employees who weren’t in the class tried to keep noise down. Every person there from Bruneaus was super helpful and wanting to assist you with your questions. I know I wouldn’t hesitate to take anything I own there! Most importantly their employees are happy. That’s a hard task to manage, I didn’t count but just say the 10-15 employees there I saw all were happy. They all have different personalities so to keep everyone happy and moving along with ZERO known issues was amazing to see and speaks volumes on the facility that’s ran there!

I've been going to Bruneaus in West Haven for several years now for various repairs to my car. Each time I've had a great experience. They are fair with pricing, get my car in quickly and do an excellent job with everything I've needed. They have become my go to shop in West Haven and I can't recommend them enough.

I had originally left a review on how I was left feeling unsatisfied with my experience here, but they had went out of their way to reach out to me and make it right. I had a problem with my van that wouldn't pass the emissions test, they told me to bring it in and they would take care of it, not only did they fix the problem, when I had went to go pick up my van they had given me as well my paper telling me that my van had already passed the emissions test, I just really appreciate how they saw I was unsatisfied and went above and beyond to make sure they made it right, not many businesses would do that, and it just shows how much they care about the customer. 5/5 stars for sure.

Best experience I’ve ever had with any tow service ever. Manuel was my driver and he made sure I stayed dry while he got my truck hooked up. he drove very carefully back to my yard and got everything done fast and professionally . 10/10

WARNING! DISASTROUS MACHINE MOVERS!!! Bruneau's Garage was hired to move a 2000 pound Milling Machine from Milford to Fairfield. They advertised as "Professional Machine Movers". Bruneau's was hired to move a heavy machine into our garage and I explained there was no loading dock or forklift to offload the machine. Having owned a machine shop and with experience of moving dozens of heavy machinery I specifically gave them instructions not to use a flatbed truck. When the flatbed arrived with one driver I immediately contacted the supervisor to cancel the delivery. I was gruffly told the worker was qualified. Ten minutes later the machine had tipped over the end of the truck and was spewing toxic hydraulic fluid onto my driveway. The machine was DESTROYED. I immediately called the supervisor back to get help as the fluid was damaging the asphalt and we needed a spill absorber. His response was to demand $3000 to send a second truck. I informed him I was not going to pay for his mistake and he threatened he would drive down himself to collect the money. I explained I would call the police and report the chemical spill to DEEP unless he resolved the spillage. A few hours later a second truck arrived and did bring an oil absorber. Unfortunately the damage was done. A $3000 machine was destroyed and completely unusable. The driveway needed a $1000 repair. I never received an apology from the supervisor nor any reimbursement for my losses. In short; DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM.
