While there they laundered my socks and put name tags on them. When I got home I tried to pull the tags off which was impossible!!!! What did they do to the tags??? Did they use Crazy Glue or something???? After several attempts I ended up throwing the out. The hospital should look into this! ???????
Front desk representative Carrie very personable and welcoming. Nursing supervisor was pleasant and assisted us with information. Nursing staff very kind and supportive.
Absolutely horrible, the insurance pays over 15 grand a month oer patient however the rude staff acts as if your bothering them by calling to ask about your loved one,hopefully if the tables were turned their loved one wouldn't be treated as horrible as mine,despicable ethics
All About You! Home Care LLC And Riverglenn work well together! I made a visit today with a very complex individual and Riverglenn was doing an amazing job, her skin looked good, she was awake, oriented, the cnas were gentle, experienced and they cared!! I was impressed and grateful for what I witnessed.
I had a very good experience with River Glen. I can’t say enough about the physical therapy department. All my aids and nurses were very friendly and helpful.
The staff is so friendly! It makes such a difference!
The facility smells wonderful too! It is so clean.
Staff really care and it shows in the effort they make to encourage patients to get outside or play bingo, etc instead of staying in their room all day and night everyday.
My husband was in River Glen for four weeks and received warm and exceptional care. Nicole, His nurse, Was wonderful! She was extremely attentive to his every need and very compassionate to the very end. Jessica and Red, we’re very much the same. John and the PT team went above and beyond in encouraging him during his treatments.
My husband felt very comfortable and safe at River Glen, as everyone on staff was very knowledgeable of when each of his medication‘s should be given, as well as, responding, quickly when he made his many requests for attention.
Toward the end of My husband’s stay, He became very ill. The River Glen staff acted quickly, changing his room to a private hospice one, where his family and I were able to comfort him until his last day.
River Glen is a well deserved 4.6 star rating Care home, but my family and I believe that rating should be a five star one after our experience with them in treating my husband during his stay.
My Mom was there for PT rehab after hospital care. The food they fed her was horrible all processed foods and they had no order for her medication that was on record from hospital.The staff don't communicate!
Pt had her doing resistance bands after orders from hospital that she could not be lifting anything over 5 lbs.
It's set up more for long term and for patients that don't know any better.
I would never let her go there again.
Definitely not 5 or 4 or 3 star.
I give them a 2 only because some of the staff really seemed to like and do their job others you can tell didn't like their jobs and it showed.

My great experience started with Heidi at the front desk. She was pleasant and a total professional. That courtesy is how I expect to be greeted and treated. I met with two of the social workers Mary and Gabby. They were friendly and eager to hear about the services we offer. They also talked about potentially havng patient in mind to refer to us. All skilled nursing facilities should be run like River Glen healthcare. Thank you for the nice experience! Ron Jones.
Immediately saw how clean the facility was as I entered. I was greeted quickly by the receptionist and the DNS was right on time. The application was the most complete one I had ever seen! A drug test was even performed, which is great to know that everyone employed there is drug free!
I was greeted by the Director of Admissions (Heidi) with a smile. Throughout the tour, I noticed the facility was very clean and the staff appeared to be very well organized and working well as a team.
Very satisfied with the care that my mom is receiving. Nurses and aids have been great. We had one incident (will not go into detail, unless It happens again). Was adressed and taken care of. Thank you ? mom is still there and hopes to be home soon!
One of the better places for Rehabilitation after a hospital stay. The Nursing staff are excellent and attentive. The Physical Therapy staff are diligent and caring. The only weakness is the food. The selection and taste is not so good. (Danbury hospital food was better). Also for diabetics, they do not monitor the carb count. A large percentage of patients are longer term.
My mother was a late evening admission coming from the hospital. She was warmly welcomed at River Glen and the nurses and aids gave her such loving reassasurance as they professionally did intake. They answered my questions and gave me pertinent information. Everyone was happy friendly and kind. My mother came from a terrible previous nurseing home stay for post surgical recovery in which I had to remove her by ambulance to the ER because of severe neglect. Mom and I were scared to go to another nurseing home but River Glen was so beautiful. The place the employees the safety in place. Top notch. I feel peace about her being there and most importantly my mom was happy to be there . I highly recommend River Glen.
UPDATE: My mother is home now and in great spirits. The physical therapy she received here has her well on her way to full recovery. They set up VNA for her and called in her meds to CVS. It was a smooth transfer home . So grateful for River Glen.
There is plenty of parking to visit family at facility. It makes me feel the safety of clients is maintained by having a front desk person in place and sign in process with temperature check. The facility is clean, clear hallways, nicely decorated. I visited family in the activity room and it was full of clients laughing and talking and enjoying refreshments and icecream.
Workers were real respectful and you can tell they love their job. The receptionist was so nice, sweet, and helped me with joy every time. The Manager was even better. He had great charisma and great leadership.
My husband was at your facility over a year ago for a month so my answers will be based on Sam not on my recent visit with Judy DAVIS. Sam passed away May 25 of last year. I cannot say enough for the care that he received during his stay facility was clean for the most part. Everyone was wonderful always there to help him when he needed to be helped most of the time everyone had a smile on their face for institutional food I must say it was pretty good and very clean, I would recommend this place and a heartbeat. Thank you for his care.
We had a very uplifting experience. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The residents were engaged and in general good spirits. We were there in the afternoon and it appeared that most residents were either in activities or common areas and not in bed. As we walked the halls, I could see that the unoccupied beds were all made and the rooms were neat and tidy. In fact, all the facilities were very clean and neat. It was obvious that there had been recent updating and everything is well kept. We were very happy with our experience at River Glen and look forward to many more as we are trying obtain residence for our mother. We would be so comforted to know she would be so well cared for.
River Glen is the cleanest and well maintained facility that I’ve ever seen. They certainly take pride in their appearance.
The staff has provided my 98 year old mother with outstanding care. They are friendly and nurturing.
I am so happy the attention these angels give my mother. When I leave after a visit, I leave with absolute confidence that my precious mom is in good hands.

Everyone has been very very nice to my dad. He only had one night nurse that was not pleasant. Other than that he said everybody has been wonderful. We love Justine! And the physical therapist is so positive and so happy. She’s got a wonderful personality and does well with all the patients there. My dad adores her! And everyone has been pleasant to me during my visits with my dad. I am there every day and everyone has been very helpful.
My mother was there for almost 60 days, when leaving a review we are not allowed to leave certain things due to restrictions, plus there is not enough room to write what we would like to. There was really not much good to say about this place, don't know why they have call bells,,some of the aids think they are nurses,,nurses think they are doctors,, and doctors are all God (especially the one that parks in the firelane near the doorway). Meals were messed all day everyday,,poor staffing,,poor housekeeping,,phone service is horrible,,paper all screwed up. If you love someone,,do not send them hear. This was updated as of 8/27/2020 i finally found the photo of my mother's chair that they gave her to sit in,,this was never cleaned but they say there service is so great,,pretty disgusting when you sitting there in your own urine.
