Shawn & Sons are so professional and trustworthy. They told me what was wrong with my car and fixed it promptly and my car runs wonderfully. Even if you don’t live in Southbury, I would take the trip to bring your car there for service. They are just great. Ray in the front office was so nice and explained everything in detail. Shawn & Sons is the only shop who could figure out what was happening with my tires and took the time to see that I was satisfied. Being new to the area, it was great to find a mechanics close by. But most importantly as a woman! I know I’m not the only one who has experienced this but as women we go to a shop and immediately everything is more expensive and they spit out words they don’t think we understand. I went to one before Shawn and sons and they told me one issue was my horn. I called Shawn and son’s they listened over the phone agreed with me that it wasn’t my horn but didn’t want to misquote me and to bring it in for a real diagnosis. They were honest fair communicative and genuinely worried about my safety!!! For women that’s hard to find! And I’ll go back 10x over and recommend them to anyone in the area that needs a good, honest, trust worthy mechanic!!

Shawn and Tyler serviced my Toyota Hylander recently. I couldn’t be more pleased with the extra time and attention they gave. They were able to quickly diagnose some issues I was having with my older car and they made the repairs immediately. This is a great family run business. I would definitely recommend them.

Three garages in the area, but with the other two specialized, these guys provide general repairs on all cars with a focus on tires and alignments. I arrived with what I believed to be a noisy tire that needed rebalancing, and/or bad bearing. I left with a new set of tires and the quietest ride of the last 75k miles. Did not feel pressured, and was given time to come to a decision, which with old tires wasn't hard. I typically go to Costco, but soon found their prices out the door were near identical, and they were able to add an overdue alignment which Costco cannot provide. Small comfortable waiting room. Recommended!

I've been going to shawn and sons now for several years, they have worked on several of my cars and I always recommend them to my personal friends and family. I do not do a lot of reviews, i felt this one is worth my time. His diagnosis has always been right on the money and his work has always been completed accurately. I am also very financially conscious and he has always been fair and timely. Previously I have been to other shops that either charge too much or worse they did not do the job correctly, which has cost me a lot more time and money. I can honestly say trust this business.

Great experience! Staff is friendly, and service is excellent. When I pulled in, there were two local police cruisers parked in the lot for service. Any shop who is trusted to work on our town’s first responder vehicles is good in my book. I had my car serviced including oil change, new rear tires, and 4 wheel alignment. I would highly recommend Shawn & Sons for anyone needing work done on their vehicle.

For quality and honest workmanship Shawn & Sons Automotive is your answer! For us it started with a search for repair of my sons 2003 Dodge Ram that hasn't been running for at least a year. After my Google search I did a FB poll in my area and the results of both were highly in Shawn & Sons favor! We called, they got us right in and Ray talked with my son about all the issues with the truck and the work my son did on it himself. Because of it's age and that it was sitting Ray suggested going through the whole truck to see the overall condition. Yes, let's do that! I love that he gave us a list of what should be done in order of safety priority and a suggested timeline to be done. I recently brought my 2013 Explorer in knowing something was obviously going on. Again they got me in right away, and after their thorough once over on my car it turns out it was in a more dangerous condition than I thought. But Shawn & Sons to the rescue! They fixed it up and I'm much safer driving now! My Explorer also has a list of needed and suggested work and I so appreciate this part of the service as it's always well communicated from Ray and cost consciousness is alway part of the conversation. I come from a family of truck drivers/mechanics and I can say I trust Shawn & Sons with our vehicles repairs and safety. Ray and some of the crew I spoke with are knowledgeable, personable, friendly, and genuine in wanting to provide excellent service. Oh, and they call to check in after your service to see how things are going! I never had a mechanic do that before, but these guys do things on a much higher level! My daughter will be bring her car there next!

Brought my 2016 Ram 1500 in with a serious front end suspension vibration after hitting a pothole on 84. Believing there was serious front suspension damage. Shawn and Sons got me in quickly discovered a bent rim and three snapped wheel studs. Replaced all the damaged parts and had me on the road again. Great Honest and Professional service!

I've been using Shawn & Sons for vehicle repairs for a couple years now and they're great! It started with my vehicle and now wife and daughters vehicles have had repairs done. So glad to have found this shop! They were more than happy to make a repair to my Jeep with a part I had already purchased on my own - which is key, as a Jeep owner. Many shops won’t even entertain your ask unless they can price gouge you on parts they source themselves. They did impeccable work, came in under estimate, were super friendly, and my Jeep rides like a dream now! I’ll be back for all future needs and with my other vehicle as well.

Needed these guys help to chase down a misfire code and take out my front driveshaft so I could rebuilt it. They were very fast and the price was very fair. It’s been over a month now and the issue hasn’t returned. Also these guys check up on you to make sure you’re still Rolling. They wanna know you’re happy. Super friendly This is where I’m bring my cars from now on. They where Recommended to me by a fellow Nutmeg Jeeper!!!

My son and I broke down on the way to Boston. We are not from this area and when I googled car repair Shawn & Sons was the closest place. I called and they advised that we could be towed there and they would try to get us going again. They very quickly diagnosed the issue, ordered the parts, and had us back on the road in less than two hours! Ray was very welcoming and nice and our repair bill was very reasonable and less than the original estimate. I recommend stopping here for all of your automotive needs!

They did a great job. I had a unique situation, and they worked with me. When they didn’t get a hold of me, they texted to make sure I had all the information on the repair and didn’t start work until I approved it. Then, the truck was in good shape, and the final cost was the same as the estimate. I was recommended to Shawn and Sons and will not recommend them myself.
