Very convenient being so close to the DMV, the gentleman was very pleasant, could move at a faster pace though especially if you're in a rush. Overall great i'd recommend.

James was very kind polite and always with a smile on his face. The service did not take longer than 10 minutes. I would totally recommend this place for emmision testing if you do not want to be late.

Quick, polite service. James will get your car emissions tested quickly and has a queue that you can see so you know how long it will take. Extremely easy to work with.

Only went for emissions. Very friendly, humorous and kept it moving!! 5 people in front of me and I was done in under an hour HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

if i could give 0 stars i would. the person doing the emissions testing, I believe his name is James, was rude and insensitive. he literally yelled at me for not following these unspoken rules they have regarding moving your car and parking.

Apparently the great reviews are because they pulled in with nobody here. Right now I'm going on 14 minutes and I'm 3rd in line. Each test is taking minimum 10 minutes. A lot of shuffling around of your car as well. Mirabelli's is much faster.

James absolutely made my day when I went in for emissions. He also got the test done quickly. Thank you!

Called twice to ask and confirm if they did vin verification - they said yes, $10. I went and had to move my car multiple times then was told they cant do a vin verification, only emissions which i didnt not need/want done. Guy was very rude.

Upon driving in for emissions, the parking lot was clearly marked with signs. I waited in line briefly before being gestured to a parking spot. I waited outside with a couple other people. The attendant who brought my vehicle into the bay was smiling and a joy to talk to. I had such a nice wait and everyone was so friendly I will be back in 2 years!

The emissions logistics is overwhelming. They have you play CarPark. I had gotten in line and then was asked to park my car a few different times and in pretty tight quarters. The first time I was a little too slow for this gentleman and he got upset with me. It’s not on me that this facility doesn’t have the capacity to do emissions more than 3 cars deep. Get a grip.

Unfortunately the emissions guy James was a huge jerk when I went. Asked me to leave my $20 (emissions fee) in car and that’s all I heard from him. A minute later he came over to me yelling ‘why am I not out of my car’ - I told him that I didn’t hear that part and that there was still another vehicle in the emissions bay anyway. He again yelled to get out and that he doesn’t give lap dances. I don’t care how much stress someone’s under, you don’t talk to people like that. Why would I ever go there for service again?

James is a nice person with excellent customer service this is a great place to go do your car emissions place for your car emissions . I highly recommend this place for anyone that's looking to get their car emissions make sure you have your $20 cash a card that comes from DMV in in the mail stay in the car to James come up to then he'll take the car what you just wait. Yeah my car ? passed official. Fast and convenient.

The place to go to get your emissions done in Wethersfield. James is the most pleasant person you will ever meet. He's friendly and engaging, but also keeps things moving along. Plus the Dunkin is right next door if you need a coffee while you wait!

I took my Escalade to the shop to have the fuel pump replaced. I thought about doing it myself but am extremely happy with having Shawn do it. He’s a very good mechanic and person. It was done quickly and very reasonably priced. Thank you once again for being a honest and worthy repair facility.

Went there for emissions test. Technician was very friendly! 2nd time there, be prepared to wait a few minutes but they have their routine down. In and out in about 15 - 20 minutes. I'll definitely be bringing all the family cars here again.

Another fan of James! Emissions testing at Wethersfield Automotive was easy and efficient (I arrived before they opened at 7:45 on Saturday), but I am posting a review because --like everyone else -- we all like James. The raves you see below are all true -- James is the specialist whose personality and humor can break through your winter doldrums. He needs his own website! He made my day!

Honestly I’m not really one to leave reviews, but told myself that I have to when I get back home for - JAMES M. (And after reading all of the other reviews I see that he provides incredible services to everyone!!) James was polite, friendly, a jokester, and I had my emissions testing done in under 10 minutes!! ***They open at 8 AM and I arrived about 8:15 AM, with 5 cars ahead of me, so the only suggestion I make is to come in at 8 so you can be one of the first people out. Besides that, the test itself took less than 10 min. James- keep up the good work! You made my day and I think you deserve a raise! :)

James was amazing! He got me in and out for my emissions and was so professional and friendly! I tried Firestone in Glastonbury before this and they had a wait time of one hour. I will definitely be coming back here for any service! Thanks James!

James at Wethersfield Automotive made emissions testing a delightful experience. It started with a phone call -- he was friendly, positive, patient, and knowledgeable on the phone. He has an efficient system for testing that moves any line quickly, so the wait is minimal. But his lovely personality makes you wish the whole interaction was longer. James legitimately made my day. I drove away with a smile on my face.

Great Experience. Didn't have to schedule an appointment and emissions test was quick. James was great, knows what he's doing and has a great sense of humor. Call ahead to verify the documentation you need. Very reasonable charge also.

When you go to an automotive shop, you've been conditioned to expect a general standard greeting and get whatever service it is you need completed. Not only was my service timely and convenient for my schedule (didn't need an appointment for emissions testing), but James created an unexpected and memorable experience for me. He was funny, professional, and over-the-top friendly. It wasn't just with me, but with the other customers that I witnessed him interacting with, too. Not something you'd expect from an automotive shop, for sure. I'll definitely be returning!

I went on 12/24 for my emissions. I have to say it was the best experience anyone could have asked for. The person taking care of the test was simply the best guy. Nice, courteous, and made you feel comfortable in the setting of Covid. This is my first experience at this business but it certainly left a great impression, all bc of the person I dealt with that day.

Went to this location for emissions testing after going to Firestone in Glastonbury and finding them temporarily closed. The person doing the the testing (James I believe) was extremely nice and made standing in the cold during a pandemic seem pleasant somehow. Will definitely be going to this location next time I need my emissions done!

Needed emission testing. First tried another place, told me at least 2 hours wait time. Found this place on Google and read the reviews, and called them. The man on the other side of the line said just come over it will be quick. Got there and got into a short but steady moving line of cars. While waiting in line, observed this distinguished looking gentleman (later talked to him: James Morris II), running things smoothly and having fun and good cheer with the customers while observing the mask and distance routine. I'm a people person, and I recognize one when I see one. He made the waiting worthwhile. Especially in these pandemic times. Upon completion of the emission test and recieving some words of wisdom from Mr. Morris I asked him if their establishment could service my kind'a car and he spoke highly of their mechanic. I will be contacting him to explore that option. Best to all.

Found these guys because of a Google search. Called them because of their Google rating and I needed my emissions testing done. Sean answered the phone was very pleasant, said at the moment there was a 10-minute wait. When I arrived I was greeted by James, a very cool personality. James completed the service quickly and professionally. What I found unique is that he genuinely appreciated my business. Other businesses could take note from how professional and appreciative Wethersfield automotive truly is.
