Pretty disappointing.
Had to bring my car back due to a very bad vibration after paying to replace 3 tires. They said it was because of a lack of hub bearing rings because of my aftermarket rims, which is technically true for some wheels based on bore to hub size, but is not applicable to my wheels. I’ve gotten tires at another Firestone location and they seated my wheels and tires with no issues and no vibrations, so that was a peeve for me. My service was Saturday, 2/21/26 and as of 2/27/26 my coolant reservoir is completely empty, way below the minimum line. No leaks were found on their inspection so I can only assume this was missed.
You would hope that if you bring your vehicle in for service, that minor things like this are caught and taken care of after paying close to 500$ in repairs.
Excellent service! The cashier was very kind and professional. They fixed my car in just half an hour. Clean, well-organized place with great customer service. Highly recommended???
I waited Over five hours For an appointment at 3 o’clock to then get there and then tell me it’s gonna be an hour and a half away. I work the storm. I could’ve been sleeping all day instead they have now wasted my day. And I have to find somewhere to get an oil change because I’m not waiting two hours or more from the hour and a half wait time plus the oil change time. Whoever Grant is should not be making appointments and telling people they can be in and out horrible communication.
In reference to The Firestone company here in New Britain, Ct. I've been a loyal customer for decades. Today, I had the pleasure of meeting two of your service technicians. Namely, GRANT GESNER and MICHAEL RIVERA. These two individuals representing your company were accommodating, friendly, polite, caring, and forthright. I stopped in today b/c my new tires had different psi after having it at the dealers. Firestone employee ( Blake ? )came out seeing that I had difficulty walking. She asked HOW she can help. I explained my predicament. Blake quickly filled my tires equalized the pressure and had a fellow come out to listen to the "wobbling" issue I was having. After checking tires, he recommended the next step. Professional, timely and respectful to an older woman. This store has been my "go-to" car shop ! Keep up the good work !
Quick! I come here for all my emissions testing. Can’t say I ever had to wait longer than 30min and thats with people in front of me! Haven’t had bad customer service either. Will continue my emission and tire jobs here!
While getting work done over at Firestone, I felt an immediate sense of ease when I walked in the smell of tires, filled my nostrils and reminded me of my childhood. I can’t thank the staff enough for the amazing work that they’ve done not only with my car with my life.
Staff were friendly, efficient, professional and caring. I was able to stop in for an emissions test without an appointment and was seen expeditiously. I just moved to the area and will definitely make this my go to shop.
Would not recommend if you have a manual or a sports car. Kid tasked with my car could hardly drive stick. Multiple times, he was slipping the clutch for several seconds, and even worse than that, I watched and heard him unnecessarily joy riding my car down the street. To top it off, the work was poor. The alignment was lousy, and the wheel clearly was not centered before being locked, resulting in an off-center wheel when driving straight. Stay away if you care about your vehicle.
The Firestone on Chestnut street provided excellent service. I was in and out in no time. They helped me put my my under shield back on and informed me of my issues for future service. Highly recommend :-)
Every Time I call and go in to Firestone Brooke is wonderful she goes out of her way to help. Mike took his time to explain The TPS sensor. I have wonderful experiences with Firestone Quality above the rest. April
Real quick review, was having trouble with my credit account payment and Mike stuck it out to get me right even though it took a little while. The extra effort instead of him sending me away or putting me off to make some customer service phone call meant a lot. Thanks Mike
I had to bring my car in and was just so impressed by the customer service, especially from Adi Vishwanathan. Adi was incredibly kind, patient, and demonstrated tremendous transparency about everything. It’s clear this positive, customer-first culture is a core part of the company. I had a choice of either going to Firestone or back to my dealer. I did a lot of research, and this particular Firestone complete in New Britain, Connecticut got 4+ to 5 stars.
when I called my Subaru dealership, they quoted a price of about $250 for my 30,000 mile checkup.
After my inspection with Firestone, they said the car was an excellent shape, and may need the brakes to be checked within the next 5000 miles. $29!!!!
Now the dealership would probably do a great job, but they’d charge me for things that I do not need, based upon the mileage, and not the condition of the car.
I've been to this Firestone in New Britain at least 5 times and have always had excellent treatment and service..
Brooke was extremely helpful today! She was able to help and educate me on which tires would be the best for my car and for the winter approaching thank you again !
Great staff. Great service. Many employees of our law firm use their services. I often drop my car in the morning and it's ready to go when I come out of court.
ANYWHERE BUT HERE! Especially if you are a woman. They sold me a battery in December, by July they are telling me I need a new battery. Brought it to a different place, nothing is wrong with my battery. They “ changed the oil and checked all fluids” by July , by early October, my engine oil is empty and fluids are low. I had only driven 1K miles in the less than 3 months. This place is only out to take as much money from you as they are allowed to get away with.
Avoid them!!! Very dishonest and with a straight face they lie to you.
Came in with a concern about my oil levels. They not only correctly diagnosed the problem but fixed it so I could be on my way quickly. Staff was helpful and explained everything so I knew what was going on and how to prevent the issue in the future. Would highly recommend coming here for car care. Great team

I have been visiting Firestone Auto Care located in New Britain for all of my auto care needs for at least 10 years now. I have found the service to be excellent. Their staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I called today because my vehicle emissions test is due and they were able to take me right in! Thank you, Mike and the rest of your team for doing such a good job.
Grant and the Firestone guys saved us!! We got a flat on 91 driving home to NJ, and after 3 attempts to find a replacement tire, we luckily landed at Firestone. They took us right away, and found our uniquely-sized tire at a sister location—then traveled to grab it for us! We were back on the road in under 2 hours. Highly recommend, we’re so grateful!!
Came in for a brakes replacement and malfunctioning caliper, time estimate was very accurate and updates from the process kept me well informed and had overall great experience with the staff and in choosing prices for parts.. was able to get the job done as a walk in costumer. Great work and looking forward to using firestone services in the future.
I have come to this location many many times and they have always been nothing but helpful. They are very accommodating and never try to rip me off like most car shops. I have unfortunately been to other locations and surrounding towns, and that was not the case. I will always recommend this location. 10/10!!!
I scheduled at 1pm, it was the earliest available time on the fleet app. I called to see if I could come earlier, they told me yes and actually got me a slot for 11am. The process was easy and simple, drop off the keys and be on my way— all my information was already in the system. I was called a couple hours later when my vehicle was ready for pick up, there was no hassle or issues when I did pick it up. Very kind and professional customer service, you guys are my new mechanics! ??
(It’s easier to drop off and do something productive, they’re located near a lot of shops and food in the new Britain down town area. They’re directly across from the PD so there’s no stress of anything happening if you walk around, they do have a very clean lobby with some chairs if you want to stay put and people watch from the windows.)
Update: THEY BLEW MY MOTOR.
Definitely never come here if you're woman because they will lie to your face to make money off of you. It had to have been at least a year ago, a mechanic called while they had my car and kept saying how much my brakes needed to be replaced, very adamant about it. My uncle looks at it, they're perfectly fine and had plenty of life left. I still haven't needed to change them.
My best friend brought her car last week for one thing. Magically when they had it other things broke and they wanted to charge her over 5k!
She brought it to another place that fixed her car for under $200!!
Edit: Went for a simple oil change and DONALD the technician put black disgusting thick oil in my car and almost ruined my entire car. I had to change my oil multiple times and use fuel cleaners to fix the damage. I'm so furious with this place. Notice the difference in color of the new oil going into my car. In that same visit they had also lied to my face telling me there was acid on my battery that needed to be cleaned for $17 or however much it was. I asked to see it because I had just changed my spark plugs myself and knew everything was fine. The guy at the desk went back into the shop, came back a minute later and said it's fine. You guys just keep lying to people's faces and nothing ever happens. I hope you get sued one day.
Funny how my review keeps getting hidden.
After a really bad day watching the guys at Kingz of 920 West Main Street damaging my rims and then the weights FALLING OFF in my driveway. And then having them call me a liar and denying the damage. Firestone saved me! Nice guys. flexible, patient, knowledgeable. Did quick work very well and cheaply. STAY AWAY FROM KINGZ!
