I had my 2003 silverado 2500 repaired there, brake lines replaced after rotting out due to cts destructive road salting, also my power steering cooler blew out from the same rotting out they fixed it properly, replaced my front bumper from where it rotted out, great mechanic's, fortunately I retired to Florida where my brand new pu (when I bought) can live like me to old age ?

Hey just wanted to reach out for thoughts before leaving a bad review. My name is Ken and I’ve been a repeat customer with my truck, my wife’s car and my daughter’s car. And always thought I was getting a fair shake… Until 2 weeks ago when I stopped in for an estimate to get 4 tpms’s replaced in my truck and was quoted $440.00?!? Really??? I know you’re not a tire shop, but Town Fair tire quoted me $35.00 per tire with balancing. Can you explain the difference in $300? That’s a pretty big difference. I don’t like doing reviews like this, and probably won’t make much difference. Nobody likes being ripped off. I was extremely pleased with my experience at Don's. I was told by my dealership I needed front and rear breaks and I thought the price was very high. I went to Don's for an estimate. Don said the best way to get an estimate was to schedule an appointment to have them test drive my truck and then look at each wheel to see what was needed. I thought that was an excellent idea so I set an appointment for the next morning. After the inspection, I found I only needed rear brakes the front brakes were fine. They were able to take my truck right in so they drove me home and when the job was done they came back and picked me up. The cost to get just the rear brakes done was well under 1/2 what the dealership wanted to charge me. Needless to say I was very pleased. I was treated with respect, courtesy and everyone was very friendly. And to top it off there was a 3 year warranty. I couldn't be happier.

Don’s automotive gave excellent service on my 1968 Dodge Cornett. It’s hard to find mechanics to work on old Mopar cars. They went above and beyond my expectations and what was done on the car when I drop the car off. I thought I would have to call Uber and they gave me a courtesy ride home. Thank you very much to Dan‘s automotive and the mechanic most of all that worked on my car.

I had a check engine light come on while driving on I-95 on my way out of state. I got off the highway and randomly found this shop. I pulled in with no appointment. They scanned my vehicle and thankfully it was nothing that was too serious. I asked if I could pay them for their time and I was told it was no charge. It's rare these days to find someone who is actually willing to help just to be a nice human being. They allowed me to get back on the road and complete my trip.

We were driving through the area, but had a problem with our car. Stopped by Don’s and they got us right in, had the car on the lift quickly, fixed the problem, checked to make sure nothing else was wrong, and we were on our way again! Can not say enough about the excellent service we received! Thank you Don’s Auto!

Have a Transit 350 high cube van. Dealer quoted over $10,000.00 to replace catalytic converter. Don diagnosed it to verify and replaced the catalytic converter for 1/2 the cost. Communicated with me through the whole process. I do and will continue to recommend Don's Auto Care. They are my new go to team.

Our alternator failed while we were visiting the area and had AAA tow our car to Don’s over the holiday weekend. We’re not from the area and since things were closed for the holiday we relied on the great reviews - which it turns out are much deserved - to find a repair shop. The team at Don’s fit us into the schedule to start work the next day and communicated throughout so I could plan a long drive back to pick up the car and return a rental. They did a great job and price was reasonable too. With our situation we were in a bind and couldn’t have found better service after that stressful day. Wish they were local to us! Thank you!

First rate service. Super friendly staff, knowledgeable service. Had an issue with my F150 transmission shifting hard and the mechanics were able to get my in for service quickly, identify the problem and get me back on the road in short order. Highly recommend!

Honest and very fair prices! Andy is amazing! I took my car to my family mechanic who told me I needed a steering rack and pinion. I got a very fair price from Don's but when they looked at it, it turns out it was a part in the steering column. They saved me over $600! Such great service and will be a customer for life! Dons Auto is the place to bring your car for repairs. The gentleman that helped me with my car got it diagnosed and fixed the same day which I was so grateful for. They answered all my questions and were patient with me as I asked clarification questions too. I would truly recommend Dons to all my family and friends as well, not just due to their speedy service but they have always been fair in their pricing and don’t try to scam you like other places might.

Brought to a shop prior to them that couldn’t figure out the problem in my front end in my ram 2500 and gave me an alignment that wasn’t right. “Had to take it several times on road test” when I saw that I knew something wasn’t right 2 days later I bring it to Dons Auto Care tell them what’s going on took notes and figured it all out, had truck back same day! Truck is now exactly how I wanted it. Thanks guys great work

We live in Florida but take a 6 month road trip during Hurricane season. We have a 2021 Mercedes Benz Sprinter van. After a 16 hour ferry trip from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia we discovered that we no longer had any heat on the dashboard. I tried to get it looked at in Nova Scotia, Maine, New Hampshire and Connecticut. Most Mercedes service centers were booking 3-4 months out. I was in Connecticut visiting friends and family when my friend suggested I call Don’s Auto Care Center. I called him at noon on Friday and was stunned when he said ‘bring it in’. He called me by 4pm with a diagnosis and an estimate. I wasn’t sure what the vehicle warranty was but Don encouraged me to find out before he did any repairs. 20 minutes later, after I found out that the warranty had expired I called him to ask when he might be able to do the repair He said he could do the repair on Monday. I had it in at 8am. At 3pm he called me and said it was ready. The amount was exactly what he quoted me. My vehicle had been vacuumed and my repair had been completed. I would fully recommend Don’s Auto to anyone. What a pleasant surprise to this weary traveler to have such service!

I would give these guys 6 stars if I could. These guys work miracles with their craft. Friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy. I had trouble even finding a shop who would do the extensive repairs that my van needed without getting the runaround. Don’t hesitate with these guys - fair pricing and they tackled the job. Kept me very informed along the way about everything. They care and treat your car as if it is one of their own, and will never put you back on the road in an unsafe vehicle. Return customer for sure.

I have two cars regularly serviced at Don’s. Most recently, I needed a new headlight for my aging VW Eos and had Don’s replace both. I waited in the customer lounge area and the service was performed quickly and well. As usual, I was kept informed of the progress. The price was reasonable, too.

Finding a business with as much integrity as Don's is hard to come by these days! Don's top priority is customer service which is why even when my car was under warranty through the dealer, I would pay Don's to do the work. I know it would be done right and with clear communication. Recently we had an old car that needed lots of work. The communication from Don's along the way made decision making easier. Don went above and beyond to make sure the car was drive-ready. I highly recommend Don's to anyone looking for a great auto shop.

This place…. Is my go to place… it’s taken me a long time to find a good mechanic… and dons IS IT! I’ve never had a more in depth conversation with a mechanic about my car! He even sent me a photo of the bad part! He also brought my car to emissions for me as well! On top of that he prints out a “heads up” list so to say, of all the things needed to be done in the future. This business went above and beyond. My sister and I both take our Honda crv’s to dons! If you live in East Windsor and are looking for a place you can trust.. this is the place, AVOID “small town auto” in East Windsor at all costs. Spare yourself and go to Dons, he is a very sweet man.

I purchased a set of tires from Don’s recently for my Jeep Cherokee. They found the tires I wanted and they were competitively priced. The thing that sold me on going to Don’s for tires was their top notch front end alignment service, very important to get this done properly with new tires. Very professional, courteous staff too.

I’ve had quite a bit of work done here. Most recently I had a flat tire, and when they inspected it, they reminded me of my road coverage that I had from purchasing the tires from them earlier this year (which I had forgotten about!) they had a brand new tire on my car, mounted and balanced and no charge to me in the same day. Again, I keep saying this, but they are the most honest shop I’ve ever seen, and I should know. I worked as an ASE Certified automotive technician for 4 different shops

I went to Don's for his opinion after the dealer told me my front end alignment was within spec and needed no adjustment despite visible tire cupping but only on the outer edge of the LF tire after just 5K miles. Don looked at the tires and explained how the alignment could be the cause of wear like this and he will check it out. He did the alignment (found it was slightly out of spec) and I also decided to have them do the front pads & rotors on my 2017 Tundra at the same time. I was impressed with how nice everybody is there and also the transparency with which they explained everything to me. I will definitely recommend them.

Excellent Transmission Repair Don's Auto Care Center investigated and determined that my automatic transmission (Chrysler product 62TE) could be made fully operational based on thoroughly reviewing the fault codes and doing a visual inspection. The previous facility, where my car was first towed to, had the same opportunity to investigate but simply stated that I needed to have the transmission fully rebuilt, or have it replaced at considerable cost. I am now driving my car after Don's completed the service work and all is well!

Wow - I can not believe these less than 5* reviews! My family has been using Don from when he was working by himself out of a rented garage. Never in that entire time frame have we ever had an issue with his service, no matter the type of car, age of car, or condition of car. His mechanics have always been truthful, respectful and very clean. Recently I've made the mistake of using another garage for a few repairs on my car - and I'm paying for it in more ways than one. This other garage completely missed that they did not assemble my suspension correctly and wanted to have me replace a motor mount ($500 job). It seemed that every time i went there, they had another $500 job that needed to be done. Not at Don's. His crew noticed their mistake, and were also able to diagnose that another part this other shoddy garage replaced was bad/done wrong. Never will I bring any car anywhere else but here to Don's. I'll get the correct job done without any mistakes or BS.

I just moved to the area and was concerned about my car because I have been driving so much. I called Don's because I heard a strange noise, and they made an appointment within 24 hours of the call. When I got there, I was very impressed by the professionalism of the staff. They were thorough in their work, and the people in the waiting room didn't have enough kind things to say about Don's! I was so impressed with their honesty because they could have charged me significantly as I know very little about vehicles. I will no longer take my car to any other mechanic because Don's is so straightforward and honest with their costs. If you are in the East Windsor area, Don's is the only mechanic you should consider!

I would absolutely 100% recommend Don's Auto Care Center for anyone in the Enfield/Windsor area. I had an emergency with my vehicle today. Several co-workers recommended Don's and I am more than happy that I took their recommendation. From my first phone call to my car pick up this afternoon, I was treated with kindness, respect and honesty-three valuable traits that most mechanics/auto repair shops in my home area of mid state Connecticut sorely lack. The work was top notch as my vehicle with nearly 98k miles on it runs brand new. The prices are reasonable-and this is someone who is used to paying a third more for vehicle repairs.The facility is easy to find and sparkling clean. Overall, this is an excellent place to trust your car services too. I will bring my car here for all of my routine maintenance needs as they are less than a mile from my office.
