Doesnt take craft beer cans with stickers on them. Expect a goodly wait outside to get in. Once you are in it's fast.

Never had any issues. I usually come with 5-8 garbage bags of water bottles already separated by brand. It will make your experience way better and faster. I’m in and out in under 10 minutes. If there are more than a couple people waiting, I come back another time.

Avoid this place! They cheat people by skimming your can and bottle counts. Everytime I bring my bags fully counted they always try to short change me. Woman that supposedly manages place is always combative. They always also refuse to take CT stamped cans and bottles.

Sign says quick easy no limit , spent 50 minutes in line with 6 people in front of me with 4-5 bags each. The guy I had when I went in was great . But the others were screaming at each other. And customers about there bottles. Even when calling the next customer the lady in back was rude calling the next customer. Had all mine separate but still took time and had to wait for the returns to be separated again during the process. Should have more then 2 machines that can count them and bigger bins for sorting..

Used to be good. They are now rejecting so many containers that clearly state CT 10 cents. They claim they don't get paid by the pickup company. They pick and choose what they want to take. Staff isn't friendly either. Shame it went down hill so fast.

We have been here a few times and always dread going. Staff is always so rude and unfriendly and we always feel like we get yelled at no matter how we sort our cans and bottles ahead of time. And there are more and more cans that they don’t accept, even though they clearly state “CT 10” on it. The way staff here treats people is beyond abysmal. We will gladly drive further next time to try a different facility. Shame on the people that run this place.

This is a great place to recycle cans and bottles. The staff are friendly and hard-working and they help speed your redemption. The best advice is to come prepared - separate your cans from plastic bottles in bags, and all glass bottles need to be in cardboard carriers or boxes. No hard liquor cans can be accepted (vodka seltzers for example). Even if your recycles are already mixed, they have bins for sorting on site before you come in.

Long line moved quick enough, but the service was... uncomfortable. The man processing my returnables was cold, made no eye contact and said nothing. I had never been there, so it was a strange experience.

The new location for the Windsor location of CT Bottle & Can Redemption Center suits them very well! Friendly but businesslike people, and a very fast, efficient and impressive in and out. I’ll be going here instead of the supermarket from now on!

Been refused almost half a bottle return (several bags) because they didn't take them. The website states they accept ALL cans and bottles that say CT 5cents or 10cents now.... but they pick and choose and denied taking my cans that said CT on them. The cans were canteen cans btw ( a vodka seltzer the same size as a soda can) I don't get it. If we paid for the deposit price in the store we should be able to get it back a redemption center, in the same state, and esp when it says CT deposit right on there. Smdh ridiculous

Hands-down so worth it, even if you have a bit of a wait. It was my first time here today. Gallo was very friendly, patient and understanding that my kids did not do the sorting 100% in compliance with how they process the plastic, aluminum and glass. Glass has to be boxed and it is helpful if you have the count for them on that. Besides that anything 2.5ltr or lass they accept. One other tip, separate soda bottles from water and all other plastic bottles.

The model for all redemption centers! Good website. Multiple locations. Helpful instructions on the website make the process quick and painless. I stopped by on my way home from work; had everything counted and bagged. Dropped them off with a staff member and promptly paid. I was in/out in 5 minutes. 100% better than those places where you have to feed cans and bottles into a machine!

First time at this recycling center. Staff were busy but very quick to help!!! Well organized. With over 400 bottles/cans it would have taken me "forever" inserting them one-by-one into recycle machines at local stores. At this redemption center, I was done in under 15 minutes! Highly recommend!

I've been using this site for years. They have always been fair and work hard. They have upgraded this location to four machines and customer's do have to sort by brands. I've never waited longer than 30 minutes in the past and now the wait time is cut down to 10 min during heavy volume redemptions. Keep up the good work. The employees are like family to all redeemers.

I went to this redemption center today with my son at 11:30. I was in and out in about 20 minutes and returned $66.50 worth of cans/plastics and glass bottles. There are more machines there than the last time I went. The woman in charge was very friendly and kept everything moving right along. I was very happy with my experience there with the new crew in charge.

Although this place is still better than the grocery store, bring a book or a fully charged cell phone with unlimited data. 2 employees slooooowly processing thousands of bottles...

I have been going to this place for many years now and never had any issue as it’s always been fast, efficient, and its even easier for them if you separate all plastic from cans so they can do what they need to do to get the job done quicker. Glass bottles they won’t usually accept unless they are in a small box of 6 bottles or 12 bottles. My only complaint is that their English isn’t very good and the staff is always friendly but not always able to be understood when they speak.

Fast and efficient. Sometimes there is a wait but once the line starts it really doesn't take too long. I think every time I go depending on the day and time, I'm usually there no more than 15 minutes. Usually I'll have 3 or 4 bags of cans and bottles to return. This is so much better than going to the grocery store and having to wait much longer for a machine to become available.

Sometimes there's a bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it. Bottles are counted super fast, and from the time they start counting your bottles, you'll have your money within 10 minutes. Definitely the best place I've been to exchange bottles for cash.

Changing my review... they lie. Its definately quicker than the machine. However, i separated them as you asked, 100 per clear bag (that i paid 29 cents each). So I do not have to qait in line...per your sign on the wall. You sent me back outside to a line 10 people deep. Bad customer service! And what really makes me mad .. is I paid 29 cents x6 bags [but bought 100 of them on amazon) ... to wait! I paid to wait... Bad!

Best place to return your bottles. It's fastest and easiest place. Awesome staff. They got machines that count very fast. Keep plastics and cans in separate bags and bring glass bottles back in boxes. The machines they got counts up thousands in minutes. Been going here for over 5 years. Best hands down!

I was referred to this facility from a resident of Windsor who read on the town forum about their easy accessibility. When I arrived to the facility none of the staff would acknowledge my presence as a customer and the owner processed to yell at me when I approached him that I had to separate my own bottles and to leave and find my own boxes to put my glass bottles in or they would not be accepted. It was very hard to understand him and he continued to yell and provided me with no customer service whatsoever. I would not recommend this bottle redemption facility to anyone. In my personal opinion it would be easier to go to the grocery store and return the bottles by hand on your own.

The place is amazing! Friendly and hardworking staff. Been going here with my kids since they opened up. Beats grocery store and any other redemption center out there that make you count them by hand. This place has machine that counts up all your plastics and cans. Just bag them up separately. Fast and speedy.

The owner is extremely rude and unfriendly! we have been going to this location for years and never had a problem until recently. About 3 weeks ago we came to the location. On arrival The owner began yelling at us telling us that all bottles need to be separated. We didn't have a problem with that at all but he continue to yell and Then Snatch the bottles out of my friend's hands and then threw it at her! We will not be returning for those who do not believe this review read the other reviews they're very similar. To the owner you need to learn how to speak to people In a professional manner and have customer service otherwise you won't be in business much longer. I am sure more reviews will be posted about his unprofessional rude behavior. The rules on the owners website which state the following... 1) Bring plastics and cans in separate bags. Glass back in a beer box or ANY box. (If you decide to separate your empties during your visit to the center, there are tables available to do so.) 2) To make whole process smooth, please keep what you have most of separate. For example, if you have mainly Poland Springs and Coca Cola plastics, keep those in separate bags and rest in other bag. The owner obviously does not follow his own rules!

My son and I have been going to this location for a few years now, and the owner, while usually in a hurry to get us out was always friendly. Today we went and my son got out of the the truck to unload our 8 bags of cans and bottles that were separated into their own bags (plastic soda bottles, plastic water bottles, aluminum soda cans) and I heard someone yelling. Next thing I know, my son is getting back into the truck and says "we're leaving." The owner was yelling that all brands must now be separated, and if we did not have time to sort them at the facility for him to count we should leave or go somewhere else. Hands down the best place to redeem your empties. In and out in minutes. Great friendly staff. Simply keep your plastics and cans separate and bring glass bottles back in beer box or any cardboard box. Owner is friendly but is strict on accepting loose glass bottles without box. Their automatic machine counts up to 300 containers in 30 seconds. Can’t beat that! In and out with cash quickly.
