Car got towed for a accident and now my car stereo went missing and he seems like he doesn’t care
it’s in your property he should be more responsible
will never give them business if anybody needs help call another towing place because your car is kept outside and none of the cameras work
Lady who answered the phone the other day was, RUDE AS HELL, however we spoke today and she was kinder. Who knows maybe she’s having a better day I did nothing to deserve the way she spoke to me/ treated me, but it’s fine and in the past now. I had a car that I sold get impounded and I had to deal with the consequences because the person who I was selling it too didn’t pay me in full therefore I had the title still. This person abandoned my car and now I’m left with a bill of 750$. Persons name is Rusheed Crooks( now she/her pronouns). IF DEALING WITH THIS PERSON EVER DO NOT TRUST HER! later I called and have been calling the tow office to see what my options were and was informed on how to deal with it, I am a college student living without parents so I obviously cannot afford 750$. When I called again to surrender my car the lady told me “you obviously don’t care about your car” and kept speaking down on me. I spoke softly and was kind and was already having a stressful and sad day so I was asking questions I thought she may have answers too ex: if I do this I just want to make sure I don’t owe you guys a bill” she just kept telling me I don’t care about the car and that I abandoned it and that I would have to deal with motor vehicle . after she hung up on me while I was speaking. I called back again MIND YOU I WAS UPSET but I still kept my composure and respectfully asked if I could speak to a manager or supervisor. I could tell she remembered me because she would not let me speak to him or anyone! She kept asking me “what is it in regards to and when I said it was my car and gave her a perfectly good enough response” she began to tell me she can’t give let me speak to him without a reason and that she’ll take a massage.She kept pestering me about what it was in regards too even tho I gave her an answer and refused to let me speak to him or say when he would be in the office or even around. It was just an unsavory experience that could have been easily avoided.The first time I went there in person to get the car the other person responsible did not show up and the guy was in and out and the doors were locked even tho it said they were open. I am very hurt to have been spoken to in that judgmental manner with this women doesn’t even know me at all. I finally got my car issue settled and paid what I needed to pay. It’s three stars because the gentleman I spoke today was very helpful. The people service could be better because it the situation is already stressful as it is. I think the ratings would be better if y’all were nice and didn’t speak to people like everything is there fault(referring to the replies I saw on the ratings)
They towed my vehicle mistakenly and still didnt release it without having it towed back to the location they picked it up from. So i had to pay for 2 tow fees and a storage fee. Smdh.
Rude and not professional. Hartford PD really needs to use someone else. Filthy , not professional with an attitude. They are not willing to help, they just want to argue and not do their job because they are lazy. They are in the competition for the biggest scums in this terrible city of Hartford, and the competition is big.
On Thursday, March 16 my daughter was coming back from Hartford hospital. She just had work done on her steering wheel and on the way back from Hartford Hospital her steering wheel locked up getting on the entrance ramp to 91 S. by Whitehead highway. My daughter called me to let me know what was going on and then called AAA. When I arrived, I called AAA just to verify that there was a call put in because she said the lady at AAA was very rude. They had no record of her call or anything, so this lady expedited our tow service. We also had a state trooper come out who had to push my daughters car to a safe spot. We had no clue what the streets names that we were on exact location. We gave landmarks and everything to AAA. One capital towing called us. The lady was very sweet, very professional and kind as to try to figure out where we were. I sent the woman my locations and she was trying to get a hold of the driver to let them know where we were at that time. When I told her there was a driver behind us, she didn’t want me getting out of the car yet just to make sure it was him and she couldn’t get a hold of her driver. I got out of the car and asked him if he was the man that was from capital towing and he said yes you are all set hooked up and ready to go so he was able to find us hook us up in The little bit of time that I was on the phone with this woman from capital towing. The experience with this company made this nightmare last night so much better experience if I’m ever in Hartford and God forbid something happens to one of our cars I would definitely be calling capital towing. The kindness and concern about my daughters safety was comforting to me as a mother. Even though my daughter is a young adult it was still my major concern as it was theirs as well. I could go on and on about this company. If you ever need a tow in the Hartford area definitely give them a call. Also JR or RJ the driver was a true gentleman. Even complemented my hippie pjs
The business is not open from 9am to 4 pm as listed on the side of their building.
They are open by appointment only from 9am to 4 pm. If you show up during their "operating hours" you will find their office doors locked and nobody there. You will need to call and wait for someone to arrive.
Where do I even begin... My car (in all fairness, totally justifiably) was towed for a parking violation on the intersection of Asylum and High St. in Hartford. However, this business has zero signs indicating that they're the ones who towed your car. For a little bit a legitimately believed my car was stolen.
After calling about 8 other towing companies, I finally figured out it was them. Regardless, I called them, confirmed my car was there, and told them that I would return when they open to release my car.
Fast forward to the next day. I come by a little early because I took the bus. I'm sitting down reading a book as the guy drives in in his tow truck. I tell him good morning, and he goes inside for what I assume to be opening preparations so I give him some time to get ready. However, 15 minutes after they open passed, and the door was still locked. I knock a couple of times and no answer.
An hour goes by, and I get a visit from Hartford's Community Response Team because turns out he called the cops on me for loitering. Allow me to reiterate that at no point did I speak to this man past a friendly greeting. He had no idea why I was there and had no intention of asking. It completely escaped his mind that I might have been a customer trying to get my car released. Instead, he saw me, a black man, waiting outside his business (with locked doors when they were supposed to be open) and took it as such a threat that he thought the police needed to be involved.
After much headache, I did get my car back thanks to the receptionist who was quite helpful to me, but definitely had the "woke up on the wrong side of the bed" attitude. But like I said, she did help me greatly, so I will let that slide and give her a massive thank you.
But to that truck driver, you're a disgrace. Nothing more than a racist old man.
I was calling to receive some help and understanding, I was put on the phone with the manager who proceeded to cuss me out after asking her a simple question. Please do not do business with them. There fees are outrageous there was no help through the phone. Who they’ve selected manager clearly shows how the run their business. Im completely in utter shock how someone so disrespectful is running a business.
When I was finally able to get my vehicle back after getting screwed around in the owner not opening for 4 days Yes I was charged storage fees they told me they would waive 2 days of storage when I got the vehicle to a shop to get work done I learned that my battery had been stolen My cat had been stolen and my driver side window had been smashed in be very careful if your vehicle ever has to be towed by them

I don't care what u say I'm a disabled woman who is not nasty & keep it up i will sue you for talking about me & u don't no me ( as the saying goes u reap what you sow ) all i did was called tried to ask a question & you people are RUDE & MEAN,, glad u didn't have my car oh bye the way ( i don't have one i called for a friend so u don't no me at all stop speaking on me
They towed my car for no registration which I’m ok with Cus I screwed up but the Way they treated me was beyond horrible and then charge outrageous prices for storage they have no clue why they’re are doing and the owner is horrible I thought since he was the one that towed me he would Be reasonable and then gave me a hard time about paperwork I don’t usually write reviews but this one I have to when I used to tow I never gave people a hard time I was always understanding they have already been thru a hard time so y give them more trouble come pay for the car and see u later not I need a title esp if I’m the one that towed it from u I Accept responsibility for getting pulled over for driving unregistered but the owner also took several attempts to get lift properly under car let employees tow the cars you just stay home and collect your money also if you are the one who picked the car up from aperson then there is no need to ask for title as it was a police tow and the cops gave you no indication the car was stolen, YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO TOW AND YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO BE A PEOPLE PERSON YOU WORK WITH PEOPLE SO THAT THEY WILL CALL YOU WHEN THEY NEED IT AND RECCOMEND YOU. SO INSTEAD OF ANSWERING BACK A STUPID RESPONCE YOU SHOULD WRITE THANK YOU FOR THE ADVICE AND SORRY FOR YOUR EXPIERENCE.SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A AXE TO GRIND AND THATS WHY YOU ARE IN THE TOWING BUSSINESS THATS NOT THE WAY MAN. AND INSURANCE IS HARD TO KEEP UP WITH THREE KIDS AND A DISABILITY
The tow truck driver Oneil was very kind, pleasant and professional today during my delimna. West Htfd drivers (as usual)were very unsympathetic even though i had my flasher on indicating something was wrong. Thanks to Oneil i felt better.
