They are abaolutely HORRIBLE!!! Awful customer service, dismissive, ive seen qnd heard horrible things about how employees are treated "less than", and things go missing from customers cars even before being impounded. Prices are way too high!! Never will i go to this joke of an establishment again!!
If I could give them no stars I would. The website says “Whether your car has stalled or you have been in an accident, the friendly drivers at A & M Towing” friendly my ass. The drivers are so disrespectful and don’t want to do their jobs. Just care about taking your money. Even the business next door at the NB location said he is sorry that every customer has a hard time dealing with them.

I parked in a handicap spot and the ONE time I forget to hang my tag, because I was preoccupied with helping my 83 y.o. mom who has Stage 4 metastatic ovarian cancer out of the car. I should have been ticketed by the POLICE, NOT WRONGFULLY TOWED!! Yes, it's my fault I had my handicap tag in my purse instead of in the car, but why does a tow company trump a posted sign that violators will be fined????
I didn't park there out of convenience, it was an innocent forgetfulness of hanging my valid tag. But what was I supposed to do at 8:00pm on a dark/cold night with my poor mom? They didn't even give me a break, got charged an extra $50 for late recovery fee because it was outside regular business hours. Tow guy told me they have contract with the Wethersfield TJ Maxx Plaza on the Silas Deane. Yea, I'm sure they have a contract with owner and they have this scheme worked out where they split the 💰 money they wrongfully get out of people!
I wish I could give them zero stars...this is a crooked company. They aim to capitalize off your misfortune. My truck was towed 1.9 miles down the road where it broke down. They charged 300 plus for tow and cleaning. When in CT tow fee is 125 plus the 1st 2miles free. They take cash because of the shady business dealings maybe to under report their earnings. If you want to use a card they make the process difficult. If you can use another company please do it will save you the headache. Horrible experience. No wonder they ratings are below 3stars. It's really bad.
Can I give less than 1 star? Worst experience ever! Always get a name of who you speak to and anyone who needs to talk to them like insurance adjuster, etc. Have them get a name too. No one knows where anything is and will check before telling you the wrong information.
We broke down while traveling through CT, live in Vermont. Our car was towed to a dealer that was unable to repair our vehicle for a few MONTHS (parts on backorder) so needed a tow to another shop, less than a mile. Despite us being 2 states away, they would not help us by saying they only accept cash payments. Who does business like this?
Most difficult place to get your car back from, was something different literally every time I would call nobody was on the same page that I talked to thankfully I completely explained the situation to I believe her name was Rachel, she locked in a price told me exactly what I needed to do and reached out to her coworkers to ensure everyone is on the same page. God bless that woman. Company is a big thumbs down.
Car was towed here after accident. The worst towing company that I have ever dealt with. Completely unprofessional, untrustworthy, and downright rude. They made a difficult situation more stressful than it should have been. A&M refused to release car to our insurance company despite insurance company making attempts to collect car. Our company asked us to make calls to them after their refusals (insurance company said this is a tactic to get more money out car being stored in their yard per day). Do not give this disgusting company your business.
Very unprofessional!!! Never use them! Elsa is the worst, most disrespectful person I ever spoke to in my life! she was training at the time and I feel sorry for the trainee, that will probably end up unprofessional like her! They need new staff that will respect customers! The tow truck drivers are also rude, this company needs to be put out of business, NEVER EVER GO HERE... I’m also wrong the mayor about this, I won’t stop
Worst tow truck company ever!!! Where I live at Summerfield townhouse they have a contract with them!!!? I called them because somebody was in my parking spot. Ppl been parking in the back without no sticker. The lady said we don’t have to answer to you. Rude and unprofessional you should not be in customer service lady. She said Have The management call us!!!! like really you think the managements going to be in the office at 10 o’clock at night!!! Do your job you’re supposed to be driving by checking the parking lot out and we haven’t seen you in months.
I just spoke on the phone to locate my vehicle and the SUPERVISOR told me it wasnt there when I have paperworks proving the car is there. Then I spoke to another person there and my car ended up being there. Now I'm ready to pick up my plates and the same RUDE SUPERVISOR was being more than difficult telling me shes not the one that totaled my car so my concerns dont matter to her. I was so disgusted at this treatment. Do NOT GO HERE.
The tow guy named "Diaz" was rude, disrespectful, and racist. He was supposed to tow my car to my home and instead he towed it to the lot because he said he does not feel sorry for "my kind" and he wanted to make certain "people like you" pay extra money since it goes right in his pockets. I have been trying to get a hold of the owner named Mike but nobody has responded. The receptionist also sounded as if she was being bothered answering the phones and answering my questions in regards to payment. This was the WORST tow company I have ever dealt with. Completely unprofessional and racist.
They are the worst towing company ever. My gold chain given to me from my deceased grandfather was stolen out of the car. And they charged me 500$ to get my car out. They claimed they had to use special equipment which they didn't. Never use them.
