Bad people. Called the owner after hartford police got my car towed for parking on trumbull street on Saturday at 8 am. When I parked, no signs were there, and I'm sure there wouldn't be other cars parked on that street if signs were actually there and they did a good job of letting people know.
Anyways, when I got to this place, apparently they are closed on the weekends. So how the hell did you tow my car on Saturday? The guy on the phone was telling me they are closed on weekends and this and that blah blah... my brother saw someone in the back and spoke with them. They guy told my brother $138 to get my car out. But I accidentally told the owner on the phone 150, so then they spoke on the phone and the guy on site goes my bad I said the wrong number.
SCAM SCAM SCAM! this is how hartford makes it's business. I can't wait for Hartford to go down even more. Filled with shady people doing shady business, starting with the police as main culprits.
They cost a little more then the other places I called, however the ratings on here were way better.
They knew what they were doing, they were quick, they were very focused on not causing my car any damage (my brake was seized). I would have paid a few hundred more for that kind of service.
Honestly it felt like a luxury tow if there is such a thing. I will definitely use them and recommend them in the future.
They’re actual thieves who make their money by holding normal people’s property hostage. They towed my car while I was being shown an apartment. Property manager refused to reimburse and so did the “friendly” tow truck company.
Get a real job and stop harassing hard working people that actually contribute to society.
AAA dispatch willfully neglected my towing request for 12 hours, and I called Friendly. In 15 minutes, Miguel showed up with his truck and delivered my vehicle to my auto shop. Miguel patiently interacted with the office manager and parallel parked my oversized SUV in a narrow driveway with mind blowing dexterity. When I realized that my car key had fallen out of my pants pocket and was back at my house, Miguel drove me back and then personally delivered the key back to the shop. He said my house was on his way, which was partially true. His patience, courtesy, and helpfulness, however, went well above and beyond even high expectations. I give Friendly and Miguel my highest recommendation.
No one wants their car towed but if there's a place to get your car back, I'd say Friendly Auto Body & Towing is the spot. The staff their, especially Tom, responsive, kind and willing to help. Thank you! Still cost me a bit $$ but it did hurt less when the process was quick and easy.
Went to this auto body shop after scrapping my mirror Tom was extremely friendly he jumped to action assisting me with my mirror I left satisfied my mirror looks brand new thank you so much Tom for your time, your attention to detail and your friendly customer service!!

Joe Miano, the owner, is extremely kind and knowledgeable about cars. He truly cares about his customers and it shows- he goes the extra mile to help them in all situations. He inspected my car after a serious accident when I told him my brakes had failed and he was very patient and stored my car for free when no other shop would as I decided what to do with my car after the accident. Also, he is always honest and fair when it comes to the price of car repairs, they are a trustworthy family business and take their clients concerns seriously, they listen to you while providing high quality service. I highly recommend their shop- don't bring your car anywhere else!
This shop was super kind and patient with me. My car was hit and insurance was making my life difficult. Unfortunately my car was totalled but the shop was very nice every time I called to check in and when I had to go clear out my car. Highly recommended.

The driver, Sean was just incredible. In a stressful situation he was calm, reassuring and a total pro. We dropped off the car in a very tight driveway and he gently placed it exactly where it needed to be.

On my way to the gas station, my car staled and I was stuck on the road for 2 hours. All I needed was a bit of fuel to get to the gas station, the gentleman who helped me was lovely, but Friendly charged me $200. I live in Hartford near their shop. I guess that’s the going rate, but they might want to change the name of the shop.
Couldn’t have asked for better service. Every interaction was excellent. I got a quote from a different company that was cheaper but my gut said to go with Friendly and I’m so glad I did. 100% recommended them, worth every penny!!

Repeat customer. Involved in an accident on 05/13. Had a really difficult time with my insurance company. Joe had my car towed in on 5/14 to really access the damages. My insurance company who I sent pictures to of the damage, insisted my car could be repaired on 5/14.
Friendly took a week to take apart my vehicle & really evaluate it. On 05/20 it was confirmed to be a total loss. Joe helped navigate me through the process with my insurance company. Without his guidance, my insurance company would have walked all over me. I wouldn’t bring my car anywhere else.

Friendly Auto Body has done a number of jobs on my vehicles over the years. They have always looked great with excellent customer service. This last paint job, however, cracked after 2 years. Friendly Auto Body fixed it at no cost the very next day. They stand by their work and I will use them again for it.
Friendly Auto Body is a place that I will recommend to you and anyone else who needs a car repair. I have unfortunately taken the car there twice and the work performed there was second to none. They were fair on price, work was performed on time and vehicle came out just as new.
Friendly Auto Body certainly lived up to it's name. I used them to fix my front fender and bumper after a drunk driver hit my Frontier. They took me right in, coordinated with my insurance company, and offered me a ride to pick up a rental. They finished the job on time and It was as if it never happened. They made the whole process painless.
I took a trip to Hartford, CT from NJ. The last day that I was there my car alternator went out. Friendly tow service picked me up and dropped me off at the house. The next day they fixed my car and sent me on my way back to NJ. A couple days later I had another issue with the car. I called friendly back a spoke with Tom. Tom understood my situation and guarantee his work. I thank you all for your honesty. Not to many auto repair shops are honest. Especially to women you doesn't know to much about cars. I've been going to Friendly Auto Body for a long time, every time I need body work on my car it's done fast and they are very helpful and honest. I just recently got rear-ended and the car was fixed within a week, and they also did a great job. Also I'd like to add that Tom and the rest of the crew are very friendly and they try to help as best as they can. I will recommend Friendly Auto Body to my friends and family.
I was stuck in the highway on a Thursday night 20 mins outside Hartford. My insurance company was taking hours to send a tow truck. Based on Google reviews I found these guys and they came in less than 1 hour. Moreover Carlos who got me was very friendly very honest and told me the seriousness of the damage of my car. When I agreed to let them fix it, they took detailed pictures of the damage and showed me honest quoted of the parts. They negotiated used parts for me and kept at it until my price was low. They were super friendly and supportive the whole time. They even agreed to help with a bumper clip with no extra charge and they helped me fix my left turn lights when I came back. If there's anyone that believes in the customer first it's these guys. They were great and trustworthy.

I had to get my starter replaced and they had my car towed and the starter replaced in under 5 hours. They were incredibly honest and friendly which is a rarity in that industry. The price when I got there was the exact same price they quoted me at the beginning of the day!
This place is great! If towing within the city no charge for milage. They showed up no more than 10 minutes after calling. Couldn't be happier with my experience! I had called another local company and they said 2 hrs, by the time they called me back I was picked up, dropped the car off at a garage and already back to work. Awesome
In a word; PERFECTION. These folks did an amazing job on my 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo SS on a difficult body repair. They were able to match a 5 alternate galaxy silver metallic paint exactly. Joe and Tommy were great to work with and gave me a very reasonable price. I am extremely picky about my car, which I keep in near showroom condition. Therefore, Friendly Auto Body will always be the shop I pick.

I can't describe how patient Joe in the office was, dealing with my warranty company for over a month. He definitely made a new customer out of me for any future work needed for my car! Joe definitely needs to be recognized for his hard work and answering all of my questions!!!!!
My dad referred me to Friendly auto body due to an awful experience with another repair shop that my insurance company pushed me in to even though the accident wasn't my fault! Once the other party that was involved in the accident took 100% fault, my vehicle was towed away. The main damage to my vehicle was all rear end and once estimated, the total to fix my car was approx $4,000.
From the very beginning, I was informed of what was going on and how long it would take. It took 12 days for my car to be fixed. While being fixed I called in about 2-3 times and the owners never seemed bothered by me checking in and always gave me an update. I even dropped in surprisingly one day to check on things and I was even able to see the progress being done on my car! Bottom line, I was given the right expectation from the very start. No games, gimmicks or false promises and the best part, my car looks absolutely amazing! This is a family own shop that has been in business for over 30+ years. I plan on recommending Friendly Auto Body and Towing to anyone and everyone who needs there car repaired. Thanks again to the entire staff and family, I am 100% satisfied with the results!
