I’ll start this by saying I didn’t go with their service in the end but not because I didn’t want to but because I had borrowed a friends. My bf and I got a flat and we took the car here to see what they could do. It was the end of the day so our fingers were crossed and Dan 1 and Dan 2 (that is what they told us to call them) helped us immensely. Dan 1 was nice enough to swap the tire so that the donut was on the back and not the front passenger side while Dan 2 tried to find us a good deal. Like I said while my bf and I were ready to pay for what we needed we had borrowed this car from my friend and since the car isn’t ours we didn’t feel comfortable dropping over $800 for it. Neither was the friend. So we had to do some shopping but thank you to Dan 1 and Dan 2 here for all your guidance and help to get us back on the road safety for the evening.

Called Saturday morning for an unknown scraping noise in left front wheel area and needed someone to look at it before a long trip. They squeezed me in and resolved the problem within 30 minutes. Great customer service.

I have been going here for years. Jim is always helpful and he lets me know exactly what needs to be done with my repairs or service before they start the work. I do not go anywhere else.

I bring my Jeep here for oil changes and they always get me in and out quickly. Jim is super friendly and honest. They do all my car repairs and service all the vehicles in my household (we have 4).

Walked in for an emissions test and walked out 10 minutes later with my passed report in hand! I was very pleased with the fast professional service! I'll definitely be back in 2 years!

Came in to get an emissions repair, they discovered a mistake made at another mechanic, lowering my cost by $200. Super kind service and an amazing catch. My emissions retest then passed. Couldn’t have been happier with the service provided.

I have had a variety of service work done at this facility over the years. From oil changes to muffler work to Emissions testing. My experience has been nothing but positive. The staff is skilled, knowledgeable, and completes the work on time and as quoted. I highly recommend.

I got a flat tire on the high way and needed help fast. The gentleman running the shop was polite and helpful. Helped me track down a tire down the road and then put it on for me at a super low cost. Would recommend to anyone in a jam. Thanks Monro services!

The service was awesome. We had a nail in our tires that was not repairable. These guys ordered the new tire and had it in within 24 hours. I went back the next day, without an appointment and they had the tire changed within 25 minutes. Oh, and it was all under warranty that they honored, including letting me pay for the warrantee on the new tires. Easily accessible from the road, and hey a lot of good shopping in the area! 10/10 highly recommend.

This was the first experience with Munro. I was very comfortable speaking on the phone with the owner and workers. They took care of my young daughters car, flat tire, It is always nerve racking when you cant be there to help and the guys at Monro helped to take the edge off making the experience fast, friendly, and they did a very nice thing that will keep us as customers!

Arrogant lack of customer service, poor performance on repairs. As a vet I always prefer to patronize and support vet-owned businesses. If that’s enough for you, then ok; if not, maybe look elsewhere. I have tried to support this shop but the repairs have been seriously deficient and the customer service is based on the convenience for the shop NOT the customer. They did a brake job on my car for over $1100. The next day I went back because the brakes were screeching and grinding. They said there was nothing wrong and they’d quiet down. A week later I went back and they told me that the calipers were bad and had to be replaced for ANOTHER $1000. Apparently some people think they do good work. They are on an incredibly busy corner and are usually crowded. I’m sure they don’t need my business and they know it. I wish them better than what I got.

I had my emissions checked here as a walk-in and the whole process was quick & painless. I had my paperwork and was in my car back on the road in less than 20 min. The service is $20, cash only, but there’s an ATM at the gas station next door in a pinch.

I came here because Sunoco in Fairfield recommended them. The staff here are friendly and I didn't need to wait long. They are the mechanics that other mechanics trust and I now see why. If your in need, this is the place.

I used this place twice for simple services. Twice they're customers walking in and out without masks to which staff didn't react. Twice something went wrong. First time documentation for VIN check was filled out incorrectly causing my inability to register a vehicle, where the shop confused make and model. They fixed the documentation but made a big deal how grateful I should be as they'll do it free of charge. Second time I called ahead for the emissions test. I was told to come in right away and when I got there I was told the machine is not working and it'll be two hours. While the mechanics are polite the main manager/owner has a serious attitude problem and makes you feel unwelcome. Not a great place to go.

We have been going to Monro Muffler for Inspections, oil changes, etc. for a long time. They are very direct, upfront and straight shooters. Recently I had my BMW at the Monro Muffler for the humming noise from the rear wheels. Jim was very friendly and James Sr. checked and told me it was left rear wheel bearing. They gave me a price. It was quite expensive but I knew it will be expensive. I dropped my car in the morning and in the afternoon I was told on the phone that my car was repaired. I picked up my car next morning and left directly for work and halfway to the work I heard the same humming noise from left rear wheel. I called and Jim answered the phone and I explained him that the humming noise was still there from rear wheel which he was surprised to hear but put me on hold and went to talk to the technician....few minutes later he came back and told me that his technician had made a mistake and replaced the bearing on a right rear wheel and right away told me that he will get it fixed and asked me to bring the car back. I did bring the car back and they fixed the car and went to pick up the car. Jim gave me the keys and gave me the invoice that had $0.00 charge. I offered to pay but Jim said no as it was their mistake and I offered to pay at least for the parts and Jim again refused to take any money and told me to bring my car for future repairs. I was very emotional and was honored to see the customer service they provided and for their honesty as they could have made several excuses but they did not and owned up the mistake and fixed it at no charge. I recommend Monro Muffler for car repair to everybody. Thank you James Vig Sr. and Jim Vig Jr.

Reliable and Fair service, always. Father and son business that does way more than just inspections, mufflers and brakes. Engine repairs, suspension, electrical issues. Straight shooters! Fair and honest auto repair work at a price that makes your dealership look like thieves. They take care of and stand by their repairs. They will never sell you a battery or brakes or a set of tires that you don't actually need. They will bring an issue out of the garage to show you or bring you right into the shop and show you with a work light what they see and recommend. Been taking my car and my wives car to James and Jim for YEARS!

Had been a first time customer had a bad rear tire were very nice and knew exactly what they were doing so I bought two brand new tires price wasn’t to bad either I’ve never gone to them for anything they happend to be closest place to me that also did tires very nice people and they had me back on road very next day now I will be bringing my other vehicles their work quality/experience to me was excellent and honest I was going to pay for an extra tire related service and I was told actually wasn’t very much recommended at the time great place good skilled professional people thank you. So I pull in wanting an oil change thinking I’m at the place I purchased a Groupon for. My mistake I was at the wrong place but I didn’t even mind because of how nice the gentleman behind the counter was, how fast the team was and the honesty about what really needs to be done on my car. Being a young female I don’t always trust places, and I feel like they are trying to over sell me. Here, it’s totally different! I’ll be bringing my car back again, as well as recommending this place to so many others! Thank you for the good work!!

Monro Muffler and Brakes are great! The manager is very accommodating and is very professional. The shop workers are knowledgeable and they never seem like they will upsell you. They did brakes and muffler repair for our Volvo and they were always conscious of our budgetary needs. We will be back!! Thank you ?

Entire staff extremely helpful and life savers. I had a run flat on a Sunday afternoon passing through Monro. Both manager and assistant manager to the rescue. I ended up leaving my car there and picking up a few days later. They installed my new tires and wheel alignment and after 2 months, I can report I have had no issues. Thank you!!!

The service was relatively quick...but I do believe I got absolutely swindled on costs.. almost $500 for a muffler replacement? After the phone call to explain that the muffler needed replacement, I thought I was getting a "good deal" on the labor cost of only $90..so we agreed. However after trying to find information online and sessearch for parts I discovered that $299 for '''rear muffler assembly' is ridiculous! This is disgusting and I plan to return on Monday to complain.

Best experience I've had at an auto repair shop. Oil change, tire rotation, and patch work completed without appointment on a busy Saturday afternoon in under 3 hours for just over 100 dollars. Stellar! Will continue to bring my vehicle to this shop for regular maint. Veteran owned and operated as well!

I can't say they aren't good at giving oil changes and emission checks. But they absolutely suck at being good people. I went in to get my oil changed the other day, and as soon as my car went into the garage, the owner came into the office and harassed me about my political preferences for at least a half hour. There was nothing nice about the interaction and I will never be going back here again.

I have been coming to this facility in Monroe for years, as it is down the street from my own business and they do emissions testing as well as being excellent mechanics. The owner has always been nice and we have had several interesting conversations - and he certainly answered whatever car questions I had about the repairs du jour politely and in detail! In fact all the guys are friendly, the place is very clean and it's a pleasant enough place to sit and wait or it is a quick walk to shops, places to eat or nail salon if you have a longer wait and need something to do. Plus I have found their prices to be fair.

I've never had a friendly encounter with the owner of this place. The location is convenient and the oil change price is reasonable... but I took my car in today for the last time. Although the manager is NEVER friendly or even polite... the mechanics are always very kind and pleasant. I give them that. I strongly would urge them to move on and work for someone else, however.
