I’d give zero stars if I could. Went to get an alignment they left things loose and boots cracked. Told me they would fix the problem and don’t answer the phone
I purchased a car from here recently and had a very pleasant experience. The car I bought was reasonably priced and had no extra fees or dealership fees! They made sure the car was in pristine condition before selling it to me, fixing any possible problems the vehicle may have. The salesperson was polite and was happy to answer any questions I had. Robs Auto is easily the best shop in the CT area for any kind of car / truck. Rob always takes care of his customers and has amazing prices for the excellent work that they provide. I brought my car there when the dealer couldn’t figure out an issue and he had it back to me fixed the next day.
I brought my 4runner in for an alignment after two failed attempts at a good alignment somewhere else. Price was reasonable and the alignment came out well. I will definitely use this garage again for other issues that may come up.
I was visiting from out of town and stopped at Robs for a small mechanical issue. Rob and another guy on site were professional, kind and knowledgeable. I was really impressed and grateful to meet such quality mechanics who give a damn.
Called to ask if they did rust repair, the owner said “no” and immediately hung up. Absolutely won’t be recommending this business to anyone. Terrible customer service. I see what the other reviewers mean by feeling like an inconvenience.
Rob is a great mechanic! He's honest & fair. Doesn't try to sell you on extras you don't really need. Straight shooter, which is refreshing in the auto business!! I live 25-30 mins from his shop & go to him for all my work. Hard to find mechanics like him these days. Unfortunate that they are now only open, I believe, until 4pm weekdays & no longer open on weekends. Sadly, we're gonna have to find a new place with those hours...bummer.
Placed a call in this morning to see when and if they can diagnose all the issues with my truck and prioritize them from most necessary to least necessary and I was met with a horrible tone as if I was annoying them. I was upfront and stated that I am not an expert so I do not know what is wrong with my truck. I am a teenager and I just needed it prioritized because I cannot pay thousands of dollars to fix everything. It seemed as if that wasn’t possible considering the tone and the attitude of the man I was speaking to on the phone. It was almost as if I was an annoyance to them. Placed a call to Jensen’s immediately after and they completely understood what I was saying and made me an appointment for Friday. Can say I will never use Rob’s nor do I recommend it to anyone. Disappointed that a place with such “high praise” conducts their phone calls like that.
Rob's takes care of everything from basic routine maintenance to some very specialized work on a few of our highly customized vehicles. His whole team knows there stuff delivering quality work that he stands behind.
Have brought multiple cars here, with varying degree of needs. Rob always gives you an honest estimate, and does the work correctly. He also tries to make appointments so he can work around everyone’s busy schedules. Honest nice guy that does a great job. Can’t ask for more than that.
Brought my jeep there the first time to get tires and got a good price and great service with a week of asking. Also brought it back for front suspension work and they did it no problem and found I needed new brakes, great guys with great service who really know they're lifted vehicles. Won't bring my lifted jeep xj anywhere else.
I was referred by a coworker who said that Rob fixes water leaks that are notorious in Jeeps. When I called, the man I spoke with was so RUDE and rushed me off the phone after I was trying to find a date to make an appointment. Thanks but no thanks PAL...I'd rather have the leak. Geez terrible customer service!
Called them up to get a quote for a brake job. Associate was quite rude and apparently had no manners. After asking me about the car and job to be done he said "I am not interested".

I used to go to Jensen's before he screwed me over and I decided to take my business to Rob's. The shop is clean, the prices were pretty good, both the owner and the tech working on my car were very straight forward and honest when talking to me about the car and what I wanted done and didn't try to sell me anything unnecessary. I took my car in for an alignment and was in and out in under 45 minutes. I was very happy and will definitely be back again.
Rob's excellent service and low prices greatly reduces the disappointment of your car breaking down. Rob attentively listens to your car troubles without making you feel stupid. He schedules appointments to your convenience, explains the repair thoroughly; presenting damaged parts, gives multiple updates, and charges low prices. I highly recommend Rob's. Take advantage of his service while you can. Once he realizes how exceptional his shop is, prices will double.
