There is lot of room for multiple cars to pull up, so the public can unload their recycling. The owner is very nice, and his work are more than happy to help.

They keep making up rules like you need to be there before 4 to turn in anyone comes after 415 the latest can't turn in at all stupid right

American recycling put such a bad taste in my mouth with recycling as a whole. BUT the folks at greenfield changed my mind. they have great attitudes and give the best $. BEST place to recycle in all of SD

Yesterday I was here got cheated weight 2 pounds of plastic . I saw how much it weight on a scale but wrote 2 pounds less. In short this place is Dishonest.

I'd give this facade a -100 stars if I could! Their website CLEARLY states that they pay "top dollar" and they will price match. Upon arrival, the man behind the cage, who appeared to be in charge stated he will NOT price match, I called his attention to the website and showed him same, he just kept repeating "I'm not gonna do that" he also stated he would take the part of the website that says they will price march down. Total FALSE ADVERTISING.. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!! ITS A TOTAL SCAM! GO TO TROY STREET RECYCLING IF YOU WANT TO GET A FAIR PRICE WITH A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS.

Terrible how low they went! I mean really, they should at least take the part of them buying appliances completely out of the website because they don't! And that's the part that really pissed me off is that they went out of the way to exclaim that they bought all this stuff and when I got there and they don't. Wow that's not cool........... They're lucky I don't start a lawsuit on them for that

The workers don't call out the Weight of each bin when you turn in and the guy blocks the scale so you can't see

I had more cans than I've ever recycled. Last time at Miramar with less cans 87 dollars. Here had 5 bins of aluminum full to the brim and 1 plastic and they gave me 50 bucks.

This place forsure pays more money to the people they want watched it nd experienced it. I came 6 bags left wit chump change lady came with 2 bags left with a dub + (20) I tried asking y is this like this I got attitudes instead of just letting me know. I’ve been going to that location for years because it was right by my house I’ve always had these suspicions but lately it’s gotten worse. You get very little money back nd all the workers complain nd act like they hate they job. Worst place to recycle 0-0 they suck nd they will show favoritism if u they race!!!!!

This place is a RIP OFF --- SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN APPROX. 150.00 FOR MY RECYCLING FILLED CAR WITH CANS/BOTTLES, MORE THAN I EVER BROUGHT BEFORE --- TRIED THIS ONE FOR 1.70 LB CANS COUPON. EXPECTING SOMEWHERE NEAR 150.00, AS OTHER PLACES PAID OVER 100.00 FOR LESS RECYCLED -- ONLY GOT 95.00 FILLING 9 GARBAGE CANS!!!!

The experience was awesome, not only do they always treat my son good. The last time we were their my mom ended up with a dead battery and they helped her and directed to a battery shop that helped her to these guys are awesome

It was ok. I didn't leave with a suspicion that I had been ripped off like I sometimes feel, so that's a plus, But seriously, their rates are decent, they stay open a little later than some of their competition, and they don't treat you like a bum.

This place is ok. It's pretty sticky and the cans are beat up but i realize it's a recycling place. It still could use a little more cleaning. I have never found the staff to be friendly. The prices paid seem to be ok. I go here for the convenience so all in all it is what it is.

I brought in 8 20 gallon bags of cans and only got 57 dollars back if I had gone somewhere else with less cans I would have gotten more it so to my understanding they charged me 50 something dollars to bring my cans in was a bad experience.

I had never been there before and they were very, very helpful. Also there is a coupon to give a better rate for aluminum cans. I highly recommend the place!

had my largest recycle ever but only received 63 dollars and some change. was at about 11pm mid day on Monday. I filled the large white meshing with crushed good plastic regular h20 water reg. a full reg trashcan crushed reg soda cans. a almost near fu reg can of cat food tin. one and half the can full milk crushed. ripped off by looks like probably 40 or 60. I'll call to see if management can do anything tomorrow but super disappointed I believe I was taken advantage of. i would reconsider

Took some built up recyclables over to the center this morning. Our usual local Del Cerro center had close so we drove out to El Cajon. Faculty was fairly clean for a recycling center & staff was friendly. One suggestion is to always count the money you are given before leaving the booth. My son was shorted $20. Went back up after a couple minutes & the gentlemen behind the bars, did realize the error & presented my son with the missing $$. All in all, would recommend this place - just do your counting before leaving the window!

While it's fairly clean for a recyling place I'm sure they don't pay what they say they do. I had far more recycle than I have ever had, and more cans than usual, yet I got at least $7 less than I would expect. I won't be back

This is a great place to take your recycling cans too. You pull in and reverse back up too the unloading station and empty out your recycling into the trashcans to get weighed and take your ticket to the booth and get paid then your done.. It's very quick and easy and they seem to have decent prices on cans and bottles.. Its a total hole in the wall and fits perfect in East County and I recommend this place to everyone.. #StayClassyEastCounty

Horrible customer service. One employee called me honey and I'm a 36yr old man. Nothing was done about the employee. And the supervisor completely didn't care. Horrible place please do not go to this business.

I believe in giving credit where credit is due I had my friend drive me to this place as previous experience was not even run of mill immediately a worker came to help me sort my cans and plastic it was nice havingthe help as i have one having i thanked thee owner as well as employee who assisted. Way to take a bad experience and turn it into first class Thank You and look f9rward to future returns. JoAnn Cole

One guy there is a thief. Hes the one who always has a cig in his mouth. Ive taken less bags and gotten more when its anyone else helping me. This guy ALWAYS rips you off. Also apparently they dont accept "walk ins". You HAVE to come in with a car. The place was completely empty. Only one other couple recycling when a man came walking in with 2 small bags of recyclables when an employee (tall man) told him to leave because they dont take walk ins. He said, "you need to have car". I have NEVER EVER heard that ANYWHERE else.

I've never had a bad experience here. I come at least once a month. They are friendly and helpful. Certain times of the year, there's lots of bees around which I am very allergic to bee stings.

I just spent 30 min from where I live to walk here in this hot heat. I walk in on 10/26/18 and this short crossed eyed midgit dude tells me you can't just walk in here you need a car. I'm not homeless dude I pay $1500 for 2 bedroom 1.5 bathroom i just don't have a car right now. Fwak this place.

I was looking around for places to recycle my waste near me, and I'm glad I read all of the reviews because I was about to go to this establishment but after reading everyone's inputs, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. If you work at this place, you should probably do your best to be nice because you've at least lost a customer in me, and I'm sure I am not the only one.

I had clean 1 grade copper. I called ahead to get a pricing per pound. $1.85. I got there and price changed to $1.56 per pound they told me my copper was #19. 2nd grade. Scammers, liars, and very rude
