Following the replacement of a cv axle at Asmar's, I noticed a vibration coming from underneath my foot as I accelerated from 20-28 mph. The technicians went through an exhaustive process over 2 visits to the shop to determine the issue(s). Finally, two codes indicated that there were electrical issues traced to the transmission valve cover. I was told that I might be eligible for extended warranty coverage and should contact the dealer. In fact, I had the work done at Subaru at no cost to me. It is great to have a local mechanic that values its customers!
I've used Asmar for my four vehicles for many years now, and they have not disappointed me once. The service is outstanding and the costs for repairs or upkeep of my automobiles have always been reasonable. Especially in contrast to those imposed by the brand manufacturer shops. To be fair, there are times when I prefer the manufacturer's shops, especially when it involves defects. However, for recommended upkeep of my vehicles, such as oil changes, engine and air filters, tire rotations and the like, Asmar has my complete confidence and business.
I brought my Chevy Silverado to Asmar's as I just moved to Spring Valley and needed some routine maintenance done. Easy to book an appointment. They were very professional and polite upon arrival. Kept me informed and updated me when the truck was ready 2.5 hours later. I'll go back every time I need something and refer anyone that needs a good trustworthy auto shop. 5 stars!
Asmar auto took care for ever car took to them and they diagnosed the issue fast. They even helped me over the phone to help me diagnose an issue despite me moving to answer state. A bad thermostat was the issue and diagnosed is over the phone despite the car not being at the shop. Thank you for all your help. Great customer service even though they provided free help. Unfortunately I can't take my cars back to them But I wish I can.

I needed oil & filter along w brake fluid change, clutch fluid change, power steering fluid change, and possible backup lamps switch replacement on our ‘03 Jeep Wrangler. Fortunately, the mechanic was able to clean dirt & corrosion off switch otherwise OK, a likely better alternative to usual replacement as some such switches are now lesser quality than original. Thanks, Asmar’s!
Brought my car in for a small coolant overflow hose leak and was upcharged $360 for an unnecessary “pressurized coolant flush.” The dealership confirmed this service wasn’t needed—especially since this same shop had already flushed the system two months earlier when they replaced all my hoses. They also charged a diagnostic fee without disclosing it, even after I agreed to the repair. Feels dishonest and misleading—lesson learned, I won’t be back.
This is my second 5-star review for Asmar's. They are great at helping us keep up on the maintenance of our vehicle and figuring out when we need to do certain repairs and when they can wait. This is really helpful with a 23-year-old truck. They always do an excellent job! Highly recommended!
I had an excellent experience here. Their customer service is outstanding! I received the engine and undercarriage clean and they have never looked better! Bad Review time: filed complaint with Bureau of Automotive Repair: which is now on file with Asmar's forever like this bad repair forever, The Manager Louis Allowed his coworker service writer to charge extra hours on my simple dashboard dual fuel switch replacement 3 hours $600 to find it had power to it but none going out right, 3 hours to fined at a high dollar electrical shop? i signed 1 hour Diagnostics & charged 3 WOW... HAD to pay it or get a lien sale on my Truck, louis said he will look into it so nice he is. but still charge me $860 for the switch repair. covering for the non Authorization for extra 2 hours labor. state BAR said i signed for the payment at the end to get truck back. yes but not for Extra 2 HOURS AT $200 an Hour. i had to sign or lose my truck to lien sale... so look out on Asmar's over charging at $200 an Hour. Good Luck. i also had to remove my dash board to reconnect the blinking red light for my car alarm was disconnect so i could see if Alarm was Activated or not, poor workmanship Also not paying attention to details of the job... they had my truck 6 days on this repair... WOW...
My positive experience with Asmar's Auto Care is worth sharing. They have been trusted with my vehicles for some time, and they are a top-notch establishment. $6600 and 5 visits later Asmar’s auto care failed to identify major issues with my car resulting in it still not running smoothly. Tons of work done over the period of months, a bunch of automated check in texts and smooth talker Luis the salesman’s BS, this place is criminal. My car shouldn’t be dying all these months later. You upsold me on repairs, over charged me on parts and banged me over the head for labor. There’s no possible way that I spent that much money with you guys and my car still has very easily identifiable issues. Maybe you’re honest and not criminals then you’re just outright inept and lack knowledge. You can say whatever you want in response to my Google review but you’re just covering yourselves. As per Luis, there was no conversation. You called me in response to my aggravation and I told you guys to leave me alone, an unsatisfied customer, plain and simple. Last time my car was brought in I was assure my battery was just “loose” nothing wrong with the battery or alternator… both of which I just replaced on my own and the bolt holding everything together was snapped in half missing a nut, my belts couldn’t even stay tensioned, how did you fail to see that one? You steam cleaned the engine and identified what was needed to be done to get it back on the road but I still needed to visit you multiple times because the car kept breaking down after each visit. Hence the issue here, after all that my car should be good as new and it’s not. That is on YOU, YOUR BUSINESS, YOUR STAFF. The car should’ve been good after the first $4700 I spent on repairs let alone the following $1900. Any way you spin it, this place is a rip off and didn’t get the job done in the end because work still needed to be done. The couple hundred to steam clean should’ve been enough to get all the issues out in the open And worked on from the jump.
I recently brought in my 2009 Infiniti G37 for a water pump repair and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Ryan, Luis, and Carlos (the mechanic) were all fantastic to work with. I absolutely will not take my vehicles to anyone else! All 3 of my vehicles are serviced at Asmars, they are always super friendly, honestly and they do all they can to help, never once have I been unhappy with my service. They make the process very easy by texting estimates, and approval requests, and best of all they offer SNAP for those larger purchases. Definitely have a life long customer in me and my family.
Excellent customer service! They were able to get me in within an hour of calling. They were recommended by my mechanic and I am glad I came. Everyone was very friendly and service was completed right on time given. I highly recommend them myself.
Highly recommended. Our car broke down nearby and had to be towed to Asmar’s for repair. They were exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to help me when the tow truck was going to drop my car off after closing time. Very friendly and trustworthy, and their pricing was right where it should be. I’m generally not trusting of auto shops but they gained a customer for all my car needs
Excellent service and honest. Ryan, Luis, and the team took incredible care of me ever since I first brought my Ford Edge in for a engine power cleaning to diagnose an oil leak. They have since earned my business, and I will be a lifelong customer. I can't say enough about Asmars, they are just extremely professional and honest, and they're the only mechanic I'd recommend to people. 5 stars, keep it up guys!
